A budget-friendly hotel in the center of the city”
I've been staying in La Corona for a couple of times already and I keep on coming back to this hotel whenever I am in Lipa. It's in the center of the city, just across SM Lipa which is very convenient for the guests because when you go out of the hotel you can access the overpass to SM. The receptionists, staffs, cleaners etc.. are very friendly and accommodating. The buffet breakfast is also superb because they serve great food and local delicacies.

Great service and convenient location”
We checked in at hotel la corona not knowing what to expect. I read a lot of good reviews but was skeptical at first. Once we arrived, though, I understood what the reviews were all about. The staff was very courteous and enthusiastic in showing us around the place. The place itself was great and well maintained, and we even had our own parking slot for our room. The location was very convenient, too, as it was right across SM lipa. We ordered dinner and had free breakfast, and the food was real yummy and affordable. We'll surely go back next time when we drop by the area.

Unique hotel with clean rooms”
we had a great stay at this hotel, good value for the money and i would like to stay again if i returned to lipa. however, i will not return to lipa city or batangas because as a caucasian i was stared at by everyone and did not feel safe. i did not see any other tourists and i felt like a target. if u must visit lipa you should arrange for a driver to take you to tagaylay, a moubtaintop town where u can view taal volcano on its island. beautiful highlight of my visit.

Great convenient quality place to stay!!”
We stayed for 4 weeks in a Suite room. The hotel staff are all SUPER helpful, polite and friendly!! 2 Thumbs Up !! Always excellent fast customer service. The suite room was comfortable and always clean every day. Breakfast at the La Corona Cafe was always excellent and varied selections. Room service was fast, even in the later hours of the evening! SM Lipa is just over the pedestrian bridge across the street so super convenient. We totally enjoyed our stay at HLCL and will definitely return! Thanks for a great stay HLCL !!! You all are SUPER!! :)

best hotel in Lipa City”
I was there for my second time, and i would book this hotel over and over again. you get clean good rooms for a fair price, and the location is in the center of Lipa City, in front of the SM Mall. The beds are comfortable, the shower and bathroom clean and functional. The service is good, and WIFI is also available.

Nice Getaway from Manila”
this hotel is just across the street from sm lipa mall. the swimming pool was too cold to swim in as the sun did not heat the pool before we had a chance to use it. very good food in the restaurant. the fresh seafood soup was absolutely outstanding, but every filipino dish tried was good. breakfast (american and filipino) served in the spacious room was abundant and tasty. only a charge of pesos for the room delivery.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a decently priced hotel in Lipa. The hotel is conveniently located across the shopping mall. Buffet breakfast was great also. The staff were hospitable and friendly all throughout our stay. Thank you for having us :)

The room is great but the breakfast is poor.”
Whenever I am in Lipa, I always stay at La Corona. I loved it there because of the location the accommodating staff, and the breakfast buffet. But last time, I didn't enjoy our breakfast. The breakfast is up to 9am, we arrived around 8 am but the food were poorly served, the food warmer is empty even if there are guests, like us, who just arrived, the staff is not even accommodating to provide us a decent breakfast. But all in all, I still commend the hotel staff especially the ones in the reception area not only for accommodating all our requests but because they are friendly and honest.

Value for money”
Pros: THE STAFF and the location. The hotel is just in front of SM Lipa. Cons: None really. The three rooms we booked are clean. Love the hard wood floors. Our deluxe room had its own car port. So, that’s another plus.

Good value for money, great location ”
Great central location, located right in front of SM City Lipa (biggest mall in the area). Very friendly staff. Very reasonable prices (food, massage, room service, mini bar). Spacious room (we got a suite). Strong water in the T&B with hot water. Parking available. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Lipa.

The Better Choice in Lipa”
This is not the most comfortable hotel, but its adequate for a basic hotel in the Philippines. However, the staff were very accommodating and turned off the outside light for us at night. The staff allowed a late check-out, The staff were friendly and made me feel better about the price I paid to stay there. Other hotels in the area that I have tried lack customer service and/or basic amenities like a hot shower. This place is honest friendly and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling through Lipa.

Good location”
The hotel is conveniently located in front of SM Lipa. Although the hotel's signage can be hard to find since it is obstructed by the foot bridge. The hotel's parking area can only accomodate around 10-15 cars. They also have a 4ft pool although it was kinda dirty during our stay. The room is clean. They also have welcome drinks (ice tea). The included breakfast is buffet. The staff are courteous which make our stay more comfortable.

Disappointing Hotel Room ”
The pictures published do not quite do real justice to the how the property is - it is so DECEIVING to say the least! We book for a triple room - with two twin beds and an extra bed. What we got: a double bed and 1 single foam mattress on the floor. This was a total disappointment as when I booked there supposedly are 2 twins still available. And for the price I paid (US$61) - a "total taken advantage rate". We checked in early (around 2:30 pm) since I know they are fully booked maybe due to the Lipa LaSalle graduation - but still the room given was as stated above. WE are three people who cannot be sleeping side by side (hence the request right from booking time). The three of us were squeezed in a small room on the second floor of the main building. Tight as it is. (Really was meant to be a double room). Bathroom was so small - be ready to get the floor wet all around as it is so tight as well. The toilet bowl is pretty 'fixed' on the left wall that you have to squat sideways! (what a joke really). It was at least clean to be fair. Good airconditioning although so dated. Wifi can be tolerable. Breakfast is ok with fairly good choices - from bread to rice, vegetable and meat. The only good thing... it is a walkbridge across to SM Lipa for dining and maybe shopping (if needed). Overall - i had a great expectation based on prior reviews and pictures - but utterly different on the actual stay. Not my first choice now if I ever need to get back to Lipa. I will probably think twice before i decide to book here again. (Mind you - i am not expecting a 3 star

Wonderful place when knowing how to book. ”
The staff is so much friendlier than the staff in various locations around the city. But, it is at a cost. Because of lack of competition, you're not going to get as cheap of a place as some nicer hotels in the bigger Filipino cities. The suite room is totally not worth it. The room is older, more expensive, and has a crummy TV. The median room at this location is the sweet spot, albeit a little too pricey. I'll definitely stay here again, but only the cheapest or medium price room. The staff's professionalism and friendliness make up for the shortcomings of the room.

It's not in Batangas”
This hotel is not in Batangas city, it is in Lipa City and it takes about half and hour to get there from Batangas City. There is absolutely no reason to stay in Lipa city so i checked out almost as soon as i had arrived and went to stay in Mabini instead.

Good value for money. Clean and spacious rooms, well-lighted, good location (In front of a big mall with terminals going to Manila and other parts of Batangas), reasonable price for food, KTV Entertainment, staff are very polite and speaks great English. Will definetwly come back :)

Very relaxing. The hotel is easy to locate as it is just across SM lipa. Use of pool and the billiards are free. One thing though, the pillows are not that fluffy. I had to ask for 2 more. Other than that, the rest are very well taken care of. Will definitely go back.

Solid hotel in Lipa”
Right across from the SM, this hotel is well located. I need to really thank the staff. I forgot a gadget plugged into their TV when I left. A weak later, they were able to find it for me and hold it until I could swing back to Lipa on my travels.
