Well-appointed hotel with good locatioin”
i found this hotel to be conveniently located, near but not too near the downtown area. this hotel is located in a side street and next to a park. dhaka is a challenge in terms of teeming population, dusty/smokey , strangling traffic. the lake castle was a welcome respite from all the mayhem.

Very Good Location”
With crowded, jam packed roads, rickshahs moving around, with horns sounding repeatedly, no traffic rules... This is what you might have heard about Dhaka... Yes all that is true. But not in this hotel. Very calm location. You know what , just opposite to hotel a one kilometer walking track with hundreds of trees. But within 1 or 2 kilometers there is no restaurants or convenience stores. So you will be forced to eat in Hotel only which I consider average taste and expensive. Breakfast OK for few days. If long stay then it would be boring. For 100$ per night hotwl they don't even have a simple swimming pool. Rest all is OK. Nice stay.

Clean and quiet”
In Gulshan 2 area hence safe area and relatively close to several restaurants. Value for money is all relative but good for the area and standard. Good pick up from airport (included in price). Gym is limited but OK. Rooms are clean. I experienced delay at check out due to computer problems. Most staff very helpful with some bordering on "over zealous" to help. Breakfast has OK range, but no yogurt and limited cereal. Meals are well prepared.

Hotel location in residential area, But staff is very rude and bad service”
For the amount paid per room and kind of service they give is very bad. I would just appreciate the chief Cook who considered the special request to cook some Indian food on special request. Hotel Manager was so reluctant to change the spread for breakfast.i stayed for more than 30 days, and they had same spread every single day !!!

Quiet, Clean Safe and friendly staff”
Rooms are basic but very clean, functional and quiet. Not food outlets directly nearby but in-house restaurant has very good quality western meals and a nice coffee shop. Good range at breakfast (fruit, curd and hot food). Pleasant 15/20 mins walk to shops and other eating places. Vicinity is relatively pleasant In-house gym is very basic and somewhat claustrophobic and not well maintained, but immediately opposite is a large public park which is clean and safe and popular with locals for walking/running etc around a 1 km circuit.

Functional hotel, good location and fair price”
Reasonable sized room - a bit dark, but clean and functional. The building site outside the window was noisy although the noise stopped about 10.00pm. Food was average - and few guests seemed to eat in the restaurant. Location excellent. Pick-up/drop off at airport worked well.

Overall above average, as there was no kettle/tea/coffee in the room. Make it inconvenient especially very late at night or early morning if one wants to make a hot drink. You need to call the restaurant to ask for a pot of hot water.

Constructions are going on at the back 2 sides of the hotel. If you get rooms from ground to 2nd floor you might be woken up by the noise of constructiion or might find some worker in front of your window. The construction on one side stops at 6pm but the construction on the other side goes all night.
