This is my second time to stay in Kagoshima and I chose this same hotel to stay at. The reason is : 1) The location is very good, near station, Tenmonkan and Dolphin port. All walking distance 2) Rates are the best without having to stay on a bunkbed at a hostel 3) Staff are very courteous and professional 4) Free breakfast! Thank you Hotel Lexton Kagoshima Annex

Same old basic hotel - too basic for the competition!”
There's nothing wrong with Lexton Kagoshima Annex. But it's just a very basic typical hotel experience. It's not "nice" or fancy in any way. There's nothing at all about it that will make you feel happy about having found or chosen that one to stay at. The rooms are small and dark, and I have never enjoyed the box bathrooms. All the basic amenities are there - the place is fine. But before that, I stayed at beautiful, sunny, airy, hostels with a fresh aesthetic, and after, I found an Airbnb for a whole apartment for actually less than I was paying for the hotel. Why stay at a plain old same old hotel when there are so many better/different options these days?

nice little place close to Tenmonkan ”
I had never heard of this place but decided to stay overnite in Kagoshima after taking a day trip there the week before. Ace Inn had good rates at the last minute so I picked it. Cheerful red carpet in hallway and clean bed covers ... unlike Comfort Hotel Nagasakis patched comforter. Only 1 elevator and washing machine for entire building though. Within walking distance to grocery store (Fresh Arena) and you can open window ... unlike many other hotels. Very close to Dormy Inn FYI. Definitely would stay here again. Much better value than APA hotels.

One of the perfect hotels in Kagoshima”
Located around Tenmonkan about 5 minute distance on foot, hotel interior is very clean and no smoking smell in the room in spite of the smoking room, they supply very simple breakfast as a free service but that’s not bad (Japanese one). And all of staffs were very kind and friendly, most of my requests were accepted from the heart, especially the female staff (one kanji’s name), I recommend this hotel and stay again if I have a chance.

The room was clean, staff was very friendly and it was situated very conviently to many bars and restaurants and close to the Meiji- Restoration Museum. ( about 10min Walk). Was very happy to stay there and would do it again.

The kindest Japanese man I’ve ever met at the front. Lovely Japanese style breakfast. Clean&cozy room. 5-minute-walking distance from bus stop in Tanmonkan. A nearby convenience store. Very reasonable cost.

typical japan budget hotel very small the room not clean, the carpet very dirty, toilet smelly, the bed very hard location close to downtown region but still need to walk for 5 mins no facility staff not helpful, not able to communicate in english in general, not recommended, not worthy with that price

Expensive. Temp control randomly switches to heater from AC in the night so you wake up in a sweat. Bathtub smells like mildew.
