Basic business hotel”
Every time I stay at one of these business hotels, I forget (from the last time) just how basic their amenities can be, and how tiny little things can so often be out of whack. The room is clean, the price is good, all the basics are there. It's a fine place to stay. Just a few blocks from the streetcar (train) station. But there's no heat (only AC) in the room, bc I guess it's too early in the season? Would hate to be here on an unseasonably warm day with only heat and no AC! ... Outlets in the room are very few and hard to find. Lights & electricity in the room only work when you have your key in a little thing by the door, which means you can't leave your devices to charge while you're out. The shower head won't point straight, but instead flips bc of the water pressure to point into the corner. I ultimately stuck a washcloth around it to hold it in place so it wouldn't whip around to the left like that. There are also, as far as I can tell, no outlets in the lobby. And while I certainly don't need other extra amenities like a bath or pool in the building, or a cafe/restaurant for breakfast, or anything like that, they don't have those things either.

The price is pretty cheap for its relatively convenient location, but that's it. The room was small and not completely clean, barely any space to open your luggage. If you're staying for a short while (<7 days), no room service is provided. The staff is slow to respond at the reception, although mostly friendly, and does not speak proficient English, which caused some minor problems. Unless you don't have money, don't use their service

Not clean ”
The room had too many bacteria and dirty places. When I showed it to the morning female staff, she didn't apologize and just said she would reveal to the manager. This is so rude in Japanese manner. I was quite surprised. The night staff were nice . We only stayed one night bit were disgusted with the dirtiness of the room and shower curtain was disgustingly dirty .

Great and convenient hotel”
The Kagoshima Livemax Hotel was well located, at 5 minutes from the Sakurajima ferry. The rooms are wide and clean, the personnel very kind and helpful. And there is a beautiful view to the volcano from the rooms.

Not cleaned or vented in a long time, old interiors”
Carpets was dirty and old. Bathroom ceiling was dirty and was moulded on multiple places, including the bathroom wall installed telephone cable.

A budget choice”
Located at the corner of the city, yet you can walk to the rail station within 5 mins. Car parking was offered at the multi-storey carpark at the date I stay. Will surely book this again if travel alone.

Great location and staff”
There is a large supermarket in front of the hotel. It was convenient for long-term stays because there was a microwave in the room. The hotel staff were also kind and I was able to stay with peace of mind. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Kagoshima.

ホテルから桜島フェリー桟橋までスグ！ 観光目的でフェリーを使っての移動には便利なロケーション！天文館からは少し離れているけどブラブラしながら歩いて行ける距離！交通量も少なく移動し易さもある。これらを考えると以外と穴場的でGOOD👌

水族館前電停と桜島フェリーターミナルが近い”
電停が近く10分も市電に乗れば天文館などの中心街に行けます。 桜島フェリーターミナルも近いので桜島行くときも便利です。 ホテルの前がディスカウントスーパーなので買い物もコンビニより安いです。 設備は少し古さを感じますが一泊3,800円なら納得です。 もし鹿児島にまた来ることがあったら利用したいです。

建物が古いのか、部屋の水回り、シャワーカーテンのカビが気になった。また、プラグがテレビの後ろにあったが、埃が溜まっていた。ホテルでのんびりと過ごしたい方にはおすすめしませんが、利便性、価格の安さ重視の方にはおすすめです！
