Fantastic Stay”
My first glance at the hotel was one of surprise at how big and grand the hotel was for the price I had paid. It looked brand new and and Hotel Locus exceeded my expectations. It was clean and comfortable. It was roomy and had a view of the harbor. They were doing some renovating or construction at the time we were there but it was minimal. We were there to explore the island so we did not hang out at the hotel. The staff at the front desk were all cordial and made everything hassle free. The breakfast included with the reservation was varied and fantastic. It was not a ton of food but all seemed healthy. The cook put a little spin and fun on foods, juice and dressings which made it fun to try different flavors. Definitely beat the typical continental breakfast, which I am usually not fond of. I could see parking being a bit of a challenge due to the number of spaces available, but since we stayed during November, there was always a parking space waiting for us under the building.

Gorgeous Hotel with Perfect Views”
From the moment you walk into the lobby you are immediately blown away with the view of the sea and pool. The design of the hotel is very fresh, sleek, and modern, and it provides a luxurious feel for a great price. The hotel restaurant has some of the best food I've eaten in Japan- very suited for westerners. I usually don't get breakfast at Japanese hotels (it's usually sashimi, salad, and miso), but this breakfast is worth the add on! The pool isn't huge, but it was never busy (I went in early June), and the rooftop deck offered some great views. DEFINITELY get a room with a balcony. The hotel is situated perfectly to watch the sunset. There is a beach right next to the hotel, a Family Mart convenience store right down the road, and some restaurants in walking distance. The hotel is about a 12 minute ride from the airport, and it costs around ten dollars for a taxi. If you like to walk, you can get to Sunayama beach in 30 minutes!

I had the best time staying at Hotel Locus! The staff is very kind and helpful. The interior and the rooms are beautiful and modern, the healthy breakfast is delicious. Great amenities, location, service, ... I will definitely stay there again if I can come back to Miyako!

It's so goooood”
Everything was simply amazing! The staff was extremely helpful. The location was great too. Breakfast selection was unique and tasty. Our tour bailed on us but the hotel staff managed to organise a private tour for us - which is even better! The only con was the pillow could have been more softer.

Perfect room with a good view! You're close enough to restaurants and shops to not need to worry. Hotel provided a phone with data which was really useful for visiting the rest of the island. Wi-fi in the room was adequate speed.

Great place to explore Miyakojima”
The staff are really nice and common areas are perfect for design sensitive travelers. Make sure you choose a larger room because the small basic ones are barely larger than the bed, though the mattress is comfortable. The hotel breakfast is worth the extra fee.

Good but too small”
Pros: The hotel is located in a good place and the room is clean . The phone provided by the hotel is quite useful. Cons: It’s REALLY small. If you are fat, you will probably find it difficult to walk inside the room. If I pay for this price, I would expect a larger room, at least a room where I can move freely.

Refreshing Stay”
Wonderful stay at this hotel! We rented electric bikes to ride around at 3000 Yen (each) for the day. The bikes are rented per day, so I'd advise you to get them first thing in the morning. We had to return the bikes by 19:30PM, so unfortunately we couldn't watch a sunset at the beach. The room facilities were good and the breakfast was delicious. On the flip side, the rooms are quite narrow and the standard rooms might be a squeeze for 2 people. There's only one laundry room in the hotel with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. The machines are oftentimes busy, we took our laundry to a coin-laundry spot near the hotel.

room so tiny.. only location is good.. spend hkd 1000 per night have lot of options.. good service during check in and the girl at the front desk is very polite.. but when i check out , the man at the front desk attitude is so rude i check out at 11:30. and that man question me " do u know our check out time ?" to be honestly , i really don't know...finally he say need penalty 1000yen... i just want to say.. u can directly tell your client the hotel regulations , not question me there...
