Not a truly “Melia” experience”

Hotel is very old and needs a lot of maintenance. The only nice area is the lobby and they can still do better with some improvements. Pool area was not clean. Furniture has mold and they seem to not care about it. Anyone can go in and out the hotel, they don’t have any security protocols. We booked a Deluxe King room and when we got there they gave us a cheaper room for the same rate. The room was very old. The shower curtain was dirty. Iron was full of mold. Reception staff are not professional at all. We have stayed at other Meliá hotel in Puerto Rico and abroad and the experience is this Meliá was a complete fail. Do not stay here. There are other and much better hotels in the area.

Elevator, bedroom are not good”

Nice location, historic building, staff were nice. Elevator not working, no staff to help with baggage. 2 flight, long stairway. Room 202 wallpaper old and torn. Hard bed, flat old pillows, room is very small. Door frames old and cracked. Will not return

Absolut empfehlenswert”

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiterinnen, die Eismaschine, die zentrale Lage

Wir waren zu dritt unterwegs und haben zwei Nächte im Melia verbracht. Das Hotel ist zental gelegen und besticht durch seine mondäne Bauweise. Unser Zimmer hatte direkten Zugang zu einer offenen, möblierten Terasse, auf der wir entspannte Abende verbracht haben. Das Zimmer und die Betten waren sauber und für drei Personen ausreichend groß. Dank der Eismaschine haben wir den fehlenden Kühlschrank im Zimmer nicht vermisst. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und um unsere Zufriedenheit bemüht. In der Bar am Pool konnte man morgens ein einfaches und günstiges Frühstück erstehen oder den guten Kaffee auch einfach mit aufs Zimmer nehmen. Was man bei einem Besuch auf keinen Fall verpassen sollte: einen Besuch des Restaurants auf dem Dach. Die Küche ist sehr gut und das Ambiente unschlagbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden uns bei einem weiteren Besuch in jedem Falle wieder für das Melia Ponce entscheiden.
