Perfect for Akita, Japan, except for few small details.”
Lovely hotel. Perfect if traveling by train. We had a Japan Rail Pass and and walked from the train to the hotel in little time. A shopping center is connected to it and the rail station. Easy to find restaurants and other items. We had breakfast included, very traditional Japanese, but also very good. If you want a different breakfast, you can go to the shopping center and there are many places. We had dinner in the hotel the first night and it was great, a little more expensive, which we expected. Room was nice, small, but larger than most other Japanese hotels. Wanted to watch news in English, but no English news station. Would have been nice if someone was available to speak English, but we made it and they made every effort to help. Also, one thing I would like to suggest, is to NOT have glass windows in the bathroom. It had blinds but little privacy and light disturbs other person at night. Would have given 5 stars except for these few details. Very polite staff.

The location is outstanding , literally beside JR Akita station , no hassle in finding the hotel. Like most of the hotels in japan . It is in small size scale but I find it a little bigger than the usual, room is clean , convenient to buy foods . Perfectly located

BEST CHOICE in AKITA”
When we arrival in Akita Railway Station very near, just past through the mall and connecting to Lobby Hotel. We were to Seitai Hoshikai (Our Lady of Akita) by taxi in front of the lobby and the old man driver waiting for us until we finished our pray. Metropolitan Hotel Akita was good location, room facilities was good, and very kind staff, when I left some property, they help us to send our property to Kyoto as I requested by email. Thank you so much. If you want to look traditional food in Akita (Kiritanpo Nabe & Oyako Dunburi) you will find that restaurant in 3rd floor (if I'm not mistake) in the same building with the hotel. We enjoy stay in Metropolitan Hotel Akita

Best location”
We went primarily to visit the church of Our Lady of Akita and this hotel fit the bill perfectly. Connected to the main train station and to a mall, it was the most convenient location for a traveler on a short stay. Lots of restaurants and good shops nearby. The room was a good size and clean and staff was friendly. The church was quite a distance so we had to take a cab there. A bit expensive but very convenient because the driver waited for us then took us to some nearby tourist spots for the flat rate of 10000 yen.

Short walk from the Shinkansen exit ”
Nice comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. They had a humidifier in the room. Also provided are basic amenities. Lots of restaurants and areas for shopping close by. A Family Mart convenience store is ½ block away.

Seemingly brand new hotel and so convenient”
He rooms looked fairly new and for Japan spacious for the two single rooms we booked. Right next to train station so that was very convenient. Good breakfast selection and staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
