Excellent location and service ”
It has been 3 years since my last visit to Japan because of Covid and my first visit to Gunma. Hotel Metropolitan Takasaki exceeded my expectations. Location was the best and it was so easy to walk down to the train station every morning. Although the room was quite small, the bath/toilet was very spacious. All the reception staff were excellent. A big thank you to Ms Yashihara and her female colleague with short hair (I’m sorry I didn’t manage to get your name). They helped me reserve seats for the Watarase Keikoku sightseeing train as it was very difficult to do it myself as I do not speak Japanese and the only way was via phone call. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Takasaki. Thank you for making my first post-Covid trip back to Japan such a pleasant one.

Room too small! ”
My friend booked at APA Takasaki Hotel with onsen but I changed it to this hotel instead. Both are equally conveniently located to the train station, similar rates. Despite knowing Hotel Metropolitan Takasaki does not have onsen, I chose it as I thought the room will be bigger than APA hotel. I was totally wrong! The room was soo small, I couldn’t even open my luggage . The only spot it can open fully in the room was at the door. So I had to move it around the couple of nights I stayed there, opening the luggage when I’m in my room, then moving it away to unblock the door when I’m ready to go out. I hurt my wrist in the process of it. What a horrible holiday! I will absolutely advise against Hotel Metropolitan Takasaki!

Excellent service from the staff ”
I would like to express my sincere "thank you" to one of the male staff on glasses (forgot to ask his name), who had gone the extra mile in helping me to find a post office and send an urgent mail during Saturday, as most of the post offices are closed during weekends. Apart from that, the hotel room is very clean and relatively spacious, with an excellent location right next to Takasaki train station.

Might be the best stay surrounding Takasaki and sub-urb areas”
Just located at the top of the JR Train Station, there are shopping arcades and department stores like takashima and aeon surrounding. Thus you can buy stuffs and get food easily. Room is quite spacious and clean. Facilities are good and working properly too. Also front desk staff are very helpful. For driving, you may nto expecting that free parking is avaialble, but you can park a public indoor car park next to the hotel building and get discount from hotel (~ JPY 1200 per night park) Really a good choice to stay if you wish to visit Karuizawa or surrounding Gunma area

出張で2回目の滞在をしました。他の地域のJR系列のホテルにも滞在させて頂いておりますが、メトロポリタン高崎さんの雰囲気、スタッフの方のご対応、部屋の清潔感、などが一番良いと感じています。また、お部屋からの駅の眺めは何度見てもわくわくします。朝は駅の発車音で目覚める感覚は電車マニアでなくてもうれしいですね。また、12月末に宿泊させて頂くのを楽しみにしております！
