Great hotel in Tokyo”
This is the second time I've stayed in Hotel Monterey Hanzomon and it's still lovely. Location: 10/10. Right in front of the Hanzomon subway which is connected to the Tokyo City Air Terminal so it's easy to get to the airports. The Hanzomon area itself is also quiet and peaceful so at night. There's also a 7-11 and Family Mart nearby along with some cafes so you have some snack choices. Room: 9/10. Japan hotel rooms are generally small but even so this was comfy and we can open two large pieces of luggage at the same time. What I didn't like was the warm lighting though. The bathroom is also quite small for big persons. I'm tiny so it was fine for me but taller people might feel a bit cramped. Cleanliness: 10/10. Never had any problem with this. Staff: 10/10. They were very accommodating and friendly and are good in English. Front desk helped us book a taxi to Tokyo Station to catch our shinkansen.

EXCELLENT HOTEL AND AMENITIES”
Loved everything about this hotel especially the fact that it was right infront of the entry to the subway! Very good location indeed. Staff was very accommodating, a bit difficult to communicate because of the language barrier but nothing Google Translate can solve. Will definitely book here again when I visit Tokyo again.

The Perfect Hotel Stay”
Hotel Monterey Hanzomon was the perfect hotel stay for my husband and I on our stay in Tokyo Japan. Great location (Hamzomon subway station literally right across the street) in a quiet and quaint location but still a really close subway ride to all hot spots in Tokyo. Hotel was perfectly clean, had very friendly staff and was reasonably priced. Would most definitely recommend this hotel to any kind of traveler staying in Tokyo! Thank you Hotel Monterey Hanzomon!

Excellent hotel”
This hotel served our purposes well it was close to the embassy and near Ueno zoo. There are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby and a subway station across the road. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful.

Pros: just across hanzomon station exit 5. The location is very accessible to all. The room is nice and very clean. Extra bonus for the fridge. The toilet is extra clean with bathtub. Would surely book this again

Clean, nice looking rooms, spacious for Tokyo standards. Metro station right in front of the hotel. Free of charge handy with 4G connection was very useful as well.

We had a great stay for 4 nights with our 5 month old baby. Everything we asked for was accommodated and the hotel is in a great location for travelling around Tokyo with only a few stops from all the major sight seeing attractions. The only thing I can fault is the communication with the hotel. I emailed ahead a few times as we had such a small baby I wanted to check Facilities and that the size of our room would be ok for a cot- there was a miscommunication and only the day before was I notified that the room booked was indeed too small, despite emailing a month and a half in advance to check this. It was all sorted out in the end (we actually had to pay to be upgraded) but I feel Like this could have been communicated better.
