My 3rd trip to Sendai”
I was passing through Sendai for an overnight stay on a business trip. It was close to many restaurants. The staff spoke both Japanese and English. Indoor secure parking is available. I will come here again.

Triple Single Room was great”
Hotel has a nice look and feel. The location is superb (very close to Sendai station). I was travelling with my kids so the triple single option was very good value for money. A little cosy but 3 comfortable beds for a good price. We will be back.

Can’t believe that this is Japanese hotel. Well European designed. Everything seem to be perfect with this hotel even a bit old but still feel like our home. Love it we will visit again for sure.

Cool European Vibes but small room”
Pros: Great European feel to the entire place. Clean and great staff. Location is hard to beat and really close to the train station. Cons: Small rooms with limited amenities inside room. Onsen cost 1100yen per use per person.

Hotel Monterey at Sendai is great in many ways, location, cleanliness, classy design atmosphere. I had packages sent to hotel before arrived and they kept it well and not bothering taking to my room.

Great location, great ambience”
Very central location, near to Sendai Station and the big malls surrounding it. It had old-timey European decor which was well-maintained and made for a fun experience. The room was quite big by Japan's standards and bright, clean and airy with a beautiful bathroom. There was an onsen on the top floor which boasted iron-rich waters and a view, but it was perhaps a bit more expensive than it was worth because of its small size. The hotel apparently made for a very good wedding location and its chapel was filled with guests in the morning! Overall very nice place to stay, especially at the deal we got on Agoda.

Pleasant but expensive add-ons”
We had a pleasant stay in Monterey Sendai, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. However, I was surprised at the amount of extra things we had to pay for. Parking was 1000yen per day and if we wanted to visit the onsen and spa in the hotel we would have to pay around 1000yen each. I feel that as paying customers (and the hotel was already very expensive) the leisure facilities should have been free to guests. Overall the extra add-ons were disappointing for such an expensive hotel.

Very European styled hotel”
Excellent location of hotel where only few minutes walk is required from the Sendai station so it is so happy for us when we have three large luggages. There is a restaurant in the hotel so that we can enjoy breakfast conveniently. Twin bedroom is quite small but still a bit bigger than other simiar hotels. The bathroom is not the typical precast plastic type but is decorated in special design. Hotel Monterey Osaka is even better.

Cool older hotel”
I enjoyed my hotel stay here very much so. The room was a bit on the small side but who's stays in their room in Sendai. The staff was amazing helpful when I lost my wallet in the area. They were courteous, professional and welcoming. The location is great because you can walk to CocoIchibanya, seven eleven and to all the shopping areas.

Not a typical hotel box”
the hotel is very conveniently located near the sendai railway station. it is built behind the conserved facade of an old stone building. so it stands out among the other hotels inthe neighbourhood. the main entrance was closed and the side entrace was hidden and too narrow. front office people were very courteous. i was pleased with the room size, layout and the amenities. the bathroom was also adequately spacious compared to cramped pre-fab bathrooms of business hotels in japanese cities. the bed was also big enough and comfy. i also experienced my first earthquake (size 5.3) in the hotel. i woke-up when i felt the bed shaking around 4am. there was no warning signal or evacuation signal.

The hotel near Sendai station and a traditional market, so it's very convenient to shop and go to another city, The room is very clean and comfortable. Service is good and there is entrance guard in front of elevator, so safety is good.
