Nice place for a food tour”
Clean and comfortable. This hotel lies right in Tenmonkan, and is surrounded by bunch of famous food shop. There are several tramps station surrounding the hotel so it’s easy to travel around.

I have booked a bigger twin room. Basically, the room size is bigger than normal Japanese hotel that is what I wanted. But I don’t think the toilet is clean. The bathtub and shower set are full of dirt. Cleaning and disinfection should be strengthened in the current extraordinary period. I hope hotel can pay more attention of it.

With plenty of restaurants around, 15 minutes walk to the AMU mall. Staff is nice but the ventilation system in the toilet is bad.

I check for hotel with parking , but they did not tell me that it needed to be a small car less than 1.55meter high. so the parking was not free and the twin bed i asked for was not their very small room

Location is good, kind of in the middle of Kagoshima Chuo station and Tenmonkan. Room, though small is extremely well designed to maximize space. Cleanliness of room is by far the best; service is friendly; a very good first experience with the Mystays chain of hotels.

Good value for money”
The hotel is located 20 minutes walk from Kagoshima-Chuo station in a sidelane. In the evening there are a lot of restaurants in the surround. The sights of Kagoshima are easy to reach by tram or just walking. The Blue Wave Inn is a good hotel which a lot of services for the guests, rooms are nice, clean and spacey. Reception is friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay as a good base to explore Kagoshima an surround.

Hotel at a prime location”
The hotel is just next to Tenmonkan-dori with plenty of eateries and a shopping arcade. The rooms were clean and well-kept. We were travelling with a baby and I would say the hotel worked well for us. The staff were very helpful and kind.

The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is excellent. Our daughter left her stuffed animal at the hotel, the staff helped us promptly to find it and ship it back to us. Excellent service. Will definitely stay there again when visit Kagoshima next time.

Walk about 10 mins to Kagoshima central station, near the tram station and the bus stop. There is a convenience store at the ground floor. The staff is helpful and speak in fluent English.

The non smoking room is filled with cigarette odor”
I requested a non smoking room when booking however, the room I got is dual room. The hotel just removed the ash tray when guest is non-smoking. I stayed only for one night so I didn't want to make any trouble in changing room. But the cigarette odor is very strong and the air refreshing spray couldn't do its magic. Then when I checked out, I saw the ash tray in front of the door for the next guest staying the next day. My pajamas smelled really bad afterward!
