A new experience”
My nth stay. Haha. I just love the earthy tone of this hotel. It's grounding. I booked a Hinoki-yu room but it was upgraded to a Palace Suite. Amazing! I was trying to book that room 2 months ago but it was cancelled due to unavailability then yesterday I got such a nice surprise when I got to stay in it. Room was spacious yet just right. The interior screams Japanese royalty and was thoughtfully set up. It screams of KING. Downside was that the water heater in the tub was broken and took an hour to be fixed, but it was okay since I was allowed a late check out anyway. Also found out that the heater for the shower was a bit broken, took too long for the warm water to kick in. And you have to be really careful for the tub not to overflow because the drainage was too shallow compared to the regular Hinoki room with stones around it. I also tried in-room dining for the first time and though it was pricey, the ribs just melted under the knife. It was tasteful. Bed was comfortable but the pillow was not as soft as other hotels I've stayed at. Their health club is now open! It's private and classy. The plunge pool was so relaxing. They also now have a sauna, truly reminds me of Japan. Will I stay here again? Yes. Will I book a Palace Suite? Maybe, on special occasion. :) Thank you so much to all the Okura staff. they were so nice, one even recognized me from a previous stay. Lol.

Stayed in Hinoki-yu room”
The hotel is very clean & anywhere you go, the staff is friendly, accomodating & helpful. Front desk people are nice. The room is impressive. Huge. I like the fact that there is a division between the bed & dressing area. And in the dressing area there is a huge mirror which makes it easier to survey your look after dressing. I love the hinoki tub. The more you soak in the water the more it becomes warm. I love the health club as there is a sauna & jacuzzi. The pool is also picturesque. Breakfast is only plated probably because the hotel is not yet fully operational. It still has to have its grand launch. Not all restos are open yet.

Best Staycation after Numerous Lockdowns”
We needed a night's stay near the airport before flying out. We chose Okura and it did not disappoint. It was actually hands down the best stay for our family. From the moment we checked in, the hotel staff were courteous and friendly. Rooms were clean and modern using Japanese technology. Some elevators had a whiff of cigarette smell probably from casino goers. But we did not feel like we were near a casino during our stay. Lobby ambience has a night relaxing feel. Rooms were spacious. Room service was delectable. The heated pool was very relaxing. Despite its proximity to the airport, we didnt hear much noise from aircrafts. There was also a bridge connecting to the Newport Mall.

Unwind and let go”
Entrance is a bit hard to find but everything else in this hotel is exceptional. Booked the Hinoki-yu room and it was so spacious kids could wrestle on the floor (though I was a solo traveler this time). The Hinoki tub is refreshing, no need to go up the hotel pool since it's more private and you can literally spend hours in there. Breakfast (Yamazato) was also superb with an in-door dining option since I woke up late because of the bed and pillows provided so much comfort you'll want to be a human burrito. Casa Buenas downstairs also offer a fine dining experience. Overall I enjoyed Okura better than another Japanese-inspired hotel in the metro. Will definitely come back with the rest of the family.

Okura Staycation”
We enjoyed our stay at Okura. Excellent service from the staff! What we liked the most is the onsen experience :) We love the room interiors, very modern japanese. You have the option to have your free breakfast in your room. Hotel have available wheelchairs and is also wheelchair accessible. It would be better if there are available snacks in the mini bar. We checked in late and there were no available food in the fridge like other hotels. Overall we will book this hotel again in the future and will recommend Okura to our friends.

Heated Pool + Spacious Room”
My family loved this hotel. Room is spacious and the beds are super comfy. ‘Loved the bathtub. My kids enjoyed the heated pool. I booked it for my husband’s bday and we appreciate the surprise cake when we got to our room. Looking forward to staying there again and I hope the women’s health club (sauna & jacuzzi) will be available soon. Glad my husband could enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna. Great staff and guest service.

Awesome Manila airport stopover hotel!”
I had a late flight into Manila and early leave to my destination with around 8 hrs to kill. Hotel Okura was perfect as I could go and get a workout in, sauna, and decent sleep. The hotel is located right next to one of the terminals, albeit I flew in and out of terminal 2 which is about 10 minutes taxi away (make sure you get a metered airport taxi and not agree a rate as the airport taxis will rip you off! The hotel is great and very comfy. Wish I had a longer stay there.

Exceptional”
The hotel just opened to the public recently so there weren't a lot of guests yet when we stayed there which I like. I love that they have a plunge pool, sauna, and steam room - I didn't know they had one so it was a nice surprise. I also love the open concept japanese aesthetic of the room. The japanese tub was a nice experience! The room is automated (lights and toilet) which takes some getting used to. The breakfast buffet had great food choices and it tastes really good. I would definitely stay here again.

Felt like Japan”
Stepping into Okura Hotel's lobby transports you to Japan. It has a very warm Asian feel. We booked two rooms- modern and Japanese and both were amazing. The modern room was more spacious with a luxurious feel. The wooden bath in the Japanese room was very relaxing. One thing I found odd in the Japanese room was that the shower room and toilet were across the room from each other. Usually, toilets and baths are next to each other. Nevertheless, everything was perfect. Best hotel stay in Manila to date.

Needs Operational Optimization”
TL;DR Good place, great rooms, nice staff but everything is just so slow. Don't go here on holidays. Check in process was way toooo long. I understand they're just on soft opening, but you need to adjust your operations based on the number of bookings for that day. We stayed on a holiday, arrived past 3 pm, got to the check in counter at 4:49pm then was told our rooms are not yet available. We waited at the rooftop and was able to finally get inside one of our rooms before 7pm. While waiting in line for check in, here are some of the things I've observed: everything is manual. Asking for IDs, verifying payment, explaining policies, filling out forms - each person eats up 15mins+ just going through this process. Reminders could've been set, an assistant could've asked guests to fill up forms while waiting in line and photocopying their documents, these gaps would tell a frequent traveler they're not ready to open yet. Even the pool is by schedule, which we were never told upon check in. We also requested for dinner plates since we ordered food from outside. The plates were delivered an hour later after a follow up. How hard is it to deliver utensils? If there are multiple guests, is it not possible to group together deliveries and go every 15 minutes instead of 1 hour? The only saving grace is the heavy and delicious breakfast, great brewed coffee and the nice friendly staff. Might stay again but on a less busy day.

We chose to celebrate at Okura since we couldn’t travel to Japan anyway 😁. We love the rooms and we really enjoyed our stay. The buffet area is still in its finishing stage but they had a good selection of ala carte breakfast which is good for sharing. We look forward to coming back when the spirited-away inspired buffet area is completed👌❤️

One of the best hotels I tried. Excellent facilities & amenties (they even have safety kits). Love the heated pool, the dry sauna & pool. Will miss the heated toilet seat! Best location too. Connecting bridge to the Newport Mall, walking distance to Lawson's & Watsons. All that and they're still on their soft launch! I will definitely come back!

Overnight Staycation Japanese Style!”
For an authentic Japanese experience, you should try out this hotel. I really love the interior design of their rooms especially the bath tub. This hotel is quite new (they are on soft launch/opening) so everything is still very pristine. The pool area is amazing especially at night and we love their kaiseki meals. Definitely a must try!

Hotel Okura: a new paradise”
I do not get paid in giving reviews, so everything I’m writing here comes from my heart. Hotel Okura is a new, classy and luxurious hotel—perfect for celebrations. Staff is very courteous and nice, if a little slow sometimes but very passionate and willing. Starting from the check in to our check out, they were so helpful and the place is super clean, whatever room you choose to be in. Surely recommend this hotel for future stays and if you want to impress guests!

The dining hall was out of this world. It is like being in the mirror dimension from doctor strange. Although the food was just so so, the ambiance was off the charts. Great experience for any guest staying in for a night or 2.
