A perfect family hotel”

The hotel is made for family travelers. They run events catering kids. The buffet breakfast is kid friendly and Japanese menu. The only issues I faced that the windows can not be opened, but they lock it to keep bugs coming in. And the room walls seems to be very thin, because you can here kids running in other rooms or crying. But that is not a deal breaker at all. There is no external restaurant and convenience store near by. The nearest 7-11 is 2.7 KM. The parks surrounding the hotel, although requires stairs climbing and hiking, are of great natural views. You can easily spend half a day exploring the areas around the hotel. There was a surprise charge of 300 Yen for using the public bath during the checkout.

Great nature and relaxation for our summer vacation”

The resort facilities are well-established and the staff are kind. This second visit also leaves me with joy and memories. As a summer resort, the perfect natural environment, swimming pool and beach.

Single travellers ”

Great location and view from hotel room, but definitely not recommended for solo travellers. Hotel is catered for families, and there’s screaming children throughout during mealtimes. Bathroom was also not cleaned very well. Overall decent for this price range.

ONE NIGHT STAY IN CHIBA”

I saw a couple of reviews before going that spoke of the hotel being old, and it is. Built in the 1970's when Japan's economy was VERY robust, it was originally an extremely advanced and pricy destination. Like so many of the larger and older Japanese hotels,it shows its age in various ways. Scraped moldings, corner peeling of wallpaper in a few places, and some fading in the first floor lobby carpeting. Rooms were huge - by Japanese standards - and very sparsely furnished. Two semi-double beds, a two seater couch, an arm chair, a small table, and a very unimposing dressing stand area, with a small fold up mirror. The walls looked freshly painted, with all normal hotel items, like wall mirror and K-Mart art missing. The hot bath was nice, but kind of boring. An interesting thing is, being off the beaten path, the hotel has no English translated signs, menus, TV control directions, or other amenities. The breakfast buffet, while relatively large, was all tailored to the Japanese clientele, with virtually no Western allowances. With all of this, I think the hotel was fantastic for the price. If we had wanted a bright and shiny place to stay, there are many in the 200-800 dollar range in the area, but this once grand, and still stately, hotel was a bargain for the price.

Beautiful views and large rooms”

I booked the ocean-view room for 2 nights for my husbands birthday. The view is really amazing! But the location in general is lacking. There isn't really anywhere to eat outside of the hotel, and the free shuttle service stops at 5pm so you can't really go out for dinner anyway. Also there's nowhere to swim nearby and the pool was closed even though it was 30 degrees C and only just past summer. For fussy eaters, the two restaurants only serve 2 (expensive) courses each, so we had to go to the Izakaya in the basement. The food is cheap but very ordinary (tempura, ramen, soba etc...). The cafe food is ok but not vegan or vegetarian friendly at all. Most of the staff don't speak English and the menus are mostly in Japanese. We were fine because we live in Japan and speak some Japanese, but I can see foreign tourists struggling a little. Overall I think it was an interesting experience, but for the price I'd rather go to a hotel with better facilities (especially more food options) and a better location.

Great location”

We spent a week here,2 adults and 2 little children,it was great.The property is at the top of a small promontory,with nothing around but trees! It's quite and isolated,the staff are very helpful and there is also a pool for the children to play in. The only thing that let us down was the poor choice when it came to the food menu at the pool side or in the lobby bar:only three courses of low quality! I guessed this was motivated by the lack of interest from the average guest who perhaps self catered. Said so the breakfast buffet was very good and only lacked cereals.There was also a chef cooking eggs in front of guests which somehow lifted the level of service and compensated for my daily struggle to get forks and knives for all,the all customer experience is strictly tailored to the Japanese individual needs,e.g.: chopsticks only! We certainly recommend this hotel provided you are prepared to accept some of the local culture restrictions unknown to westeners, like the hourly ten minutes break in the pool or the small charge to access it. We as a family give it 7 out of 10,but we could easily add a point was the food choice really a 4 stars one. Well done and thank you

Great rooms but isolated”

I spent two nights at this hotel with my primary school aged children. The rooms were very spacious, the view was great and the staff were very helpful. However, the food was very overpriced and the location was so isolated it was difficult to find anywhere outside the hotel to eat. Very Japanese - tiny towels, no BBC or CNN on the TV, you had to pay for the pool and they made you get out for ten minutes of every hour!!

Tatami room”

We had a big tatami room for 4 people. The hotel staffs helped us do our futon nicely. We enjoyed the space of the room. Our room was facing the sea but we didn't quite have time to enjoy it as in a rush.

Hotel is showing its age but the food in both restaurants was very good. Nice quiet location in the park but you need a car.

At 31500 yen, this is a rip off”

Checked in fine. After that, was surprised to see our room #456 - bad floor tiling, stained tiling near the windows - seemed like someone simply decided to remove the carpet away and let the room out. Next, wanted to use the pool - we were told that using pool required pre- reservation and a payment of 2000 yen per hour of use. I don't mind paying the 2000 yen, but no pool solts were available so no pool it was. Onsen at this place is a large public bath, with a smallish outdoor rock bath. When checking out at 11 am, we could see the neighboring rooms all had carpets - in fact all displayed rooms on website too show carpet's. Simply a big disappointment. I'd suggest anyone booking this hotel call up after booking to confirm your room and the facilities you can avail of.

散策で素敵な景色を楽しんだり、数分の車移動で色々と楽しめます。 スタッフの方々の対応も丁寧で素晴らしいと思います。 古さは感じる部屋でしたが、掃除が行き届いて気持ちよく過ごせました。 ただ、部屋の洗面所にコバエなのか小さな虫がたくさんいて気持ち悪かったのが残念です。

家族でのんびりするには、Good”

週末を利用して、２歳のこどもを連れて宿泊しました。 朝食は、充実して、２－３泊しても飽きさせることがなくとよいと思います。 昼間は、マザー牧場や鴨川シーワールドで遊びました。 ホテル周辺に食事場所が少ないので、あらかじめリサーチしていた方がよいかと思います。 また、機会があれば、利用しようと思います。
