Premium hotel!”
Make no mistake, this is a top quality hotel! I travel often and I rarely see that every aspect of a a hotel is a top notch! Staff was helpful, elevators were working, quiet, comfortable, sparkling clean, beds with high quality matrasses, towels changed every day, electric kettle with tea and coffee, working tv, hair dryer. And the breakfast was story by itself: everything you could possibly imagine, vast choices of hams, sausages, bacon, cheeses, breads, salads, eggs, coffee, tea, sweets... The swimming pool is small but it was clean and heated in winter. If you have a car, a big pubic parking is right out front. Overall 10/10.

Hotel Santana is simply amazing! The breakfast was superb, staff were very friendly and extremely helpful (they were great in recommending tourist activities in Malta). The spa - cleopatra- was beyond amazing! Also great value for money. The facilities were great and well maintained. Housekeeping could do better with the cleaning, but it wasn’t horrendous. Overall I rate this 5 star! I will stay here again

This is a lovely hotel... Great position and very clean. My only negatives are there is only 1 English channel on the TV... BBC world news. The swimming pool changing facilities are too small... Big enough for 1 person. Breakfast was very good... And staff are great

One-day break”
The hotel is very clean, staff very helpful and the position of the hotel is excellent especially if you are using public transport. Although the indoor pool was heated, the water temperature of the pool was not adequately heated. When we went to visit the indoor pool no one was swimming in the pool. Everyone was in the Jacuzzi (which also was not very hot). The buffet breakfast and the buffet dinner had a good variety of food but could have been better. One good point is that drinks are included, which means that you do not have to pay extra money for the drinks.

Best thing is the location and I found it easy to drive to from the airport. also has a large free car park opposite. there is quite a lot within walking distance of hotel for bars and restaurants. I went on a diving excursion and dawn diving is just a minute away. Dawn diving is top notch and I'd use this hotel again for another dive trip. Although a bit pricey compared to others in the locality.

Nice hotel, wellness area useless, some management issues...”
This hotel has a lot going for it - great physical amenity, excellent location, near bus station, clean and well appointed rooms, free wifi and very competitive dynamic pricing especially in off-season periods. But there are also some issues that should be addressed by management before one could recommend the hotel unreservedly. (1) The indoor wellness area and jacuzzi are useless. The jacuzzi was not heated, and remained cold even after requests to heat it. Nobody used it in the entire week we were there. Sauna is also charged extra, and rarely used. So don’t expect to have a functioning wellness area. (2) We asked for a twin room on a higher floor, but on arrival we got a queen room on a middle floor instead. A change was offered next day, but we had to wait till the afternoon to be able to move, ruining our first day, even though the room we were moving to was empty from the morning. Reception either did not ask for it to be cleaned early, or housekeeping failed to clean it. Either way, very poor communication and poor management practices. A room that a guest is already waiting for in house should always be cleaned first! Our complaint to the duty manager / front office manager elicited no meaningful response. (3) unannounced price changes – we were advised of a half pension package on arrival, but when we wanted to buy it the next day, were told that the price has increased – nobody in the hotel had any advance warning of the impending price increase. Prices, once offered to guests, should be honoured unless increases are advised in advance! (4) Breakfast was of reasonable quality, but very monotonous for a one-week stay – the same every day! Some variety would be welcome! Dinner variety was better. Overall, a pleasant hotel for the price, but unusable wellness area is a real handicap in off-season periods. As there is also a lot of building nearby, some rooms are quite noisy, although there is good balcony sound insulation.
