Pleasant Stay in Shinsaibashi Lions Rock”
We are a group of three visitors from Hong Kong travelling to Osaka in Mid May,2014, for nine nights. It's really hard to find out a specialised 3-people room in Osaka during this high season. Then, luckily we found Lions Rock through agoda. The first thing is that they offer a really nice late check-in service. Our flight arrived at Kansai Int'l Airport at 1a.m. then we arrived at the hotel at 2:30a.m. but the receptionists kindly welcomed us and quickly finished the check-in service. Though they do not have really high proficiency in English but their attitude was kind, sincere and they were very responsive and willing to help with anything for the check-in. I would also say the location was very accessible and convenient. It was located near Shinsaibashi Shopping Street, proximal to two subway stations (Yotsubashi Station and Shinsaibashi Station). It's also just a ten to fifteen minute walk to Namba Station, which can connect you to other cities in Kansai and the KIX airport. The nine-night stay was entirely pleasant with the efficient cleanup and very nice staff who would greet you whenever you bumped into them in corridors or inside the elevator. Some of you may fear that it's located in the precinct with strayers but I would say they will not cause any disturbance to you and the police station is also just a few streets from the hotel. It's entirely safe.

Great location, great value”
It's was a great stay in hotel shinsaibashi lion rock. While it's near to Youbashi metro, (its a long walk in namba station to Youbashi. Line). it's easier to walk from shinsaibashi metro station instead. Just from there, walk to Nike shop, cross the road and your are in America mura. Walk straight and you will find the hotel, close to Arrow or Dormy express hotel.

Center of shinsaibashi ”
Lions rock is in the middle of the what i feel is the artist district of shinsaibashi. It is equidistant to the subway namba and shinsaibashi stations (abt 7 mins either way walking). The room is small but cozy. The rabbit (hiroshi) in the lobby is cute! 2 Family mart are nearby. Has maybe 3-4 japanese channels on tv. Water pressure is strong. Near a mini park. Lots of stores nearby like 2nd hand clothing, adidas, shoe stores, etc. lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The takeout fried chicken place is a must try!

Excellent location in very trendy neighbourhood”
Hotel was right in the very trendy neighbourhood of Shinsaibashi where there was plenty of places to eat and shopping all around you. The famous Dotonbori area with its bright giant neon lights along the riverside is only 10-15mins away. Hotel itself was clean with its room's very spacious and well worth the money paid for the room. Free Internet is supplied on two computers in the lobby area. Some of the staff don't have the best english but are always willing to try and help no matter what. Another quirky thing about the hotel is that they have a pet rabbit which lives in the lobby. The hotel is a little further away from Shinsaibashi subway station then the Yotsubashi Subway line which I wished we had known as the maps around Shinsaibashi Subway station area were very confusing being that each map was displaying different directions to the area we needed. Ended up taking a small taxi to the hotel; don't think we would have found it otherwise actually so this is against it in the larger scale of things.

Great location for young travelers”
lions rock is a great location. the price is good too. rooms are big by japanese standards. i`d recomend this hotel to young travellers couples or people looking to experience real osaka nightlife and shopping. maybe not a real family style hotel. its a perfect location if your going bar hopping or clubbing. some of the halways need new carpet as its a bit grotty , but the rooms are good. its an older hotel and in its day was probably prretty good but now its mid range and good for a weekend. i recomend the lions rock.

Shinsaibashi Lions Rock”
The Lions Rock Hotel is a couple of blocks from a great part of town. You have to go down a couple of side streets to access it. Even our cab driver had difficulty finding it at first. The room we had was pretty small. It's not a luxurious hotel, but it's not a dump. You're pretty much getting what you pay for. There is no room service unless you request it. No phones in the room. And no internet in the rooms. If you want to use the internet you can down in the lobby. It's a decent place to stay if you don't plan on being in it too long, which was our situation. We literally just needed a place to sleep. We probably wouldn't like it too much if we had to stay there for a long time.

chic hotel”
the hotel is very easy to find. just a few steps to the shinsaibashi station! restaurants and all types of store around! the rooms are small, good thing that there is a massage chair in our room, it compensates the size of the room. the buffet breakfast is good.

Overall good except for 1 female staff”
I have been booking from this hotel since 2014 and 2016. Overall staying is pleasant. The Person in charge is friendly and even give us an change to a bigger room with a pleasant fees. The staffs there is wonderful and helpful except for 1 middle plump female chinese speaking staff. Very rude and not helpful at all. When asking for help or information, She just shun us off when the boss was not around at night. Wonder why the boss kept her? Very disappointed in her... my biggest mistake was not getting her name so that i can post it here. Maybe the Boss would like to consider replacing her before more customer start to stay away. To the Boss of the Lion rock, please consider to remove her before she tarnished the positive reputation that all your staffs been keeping up. As for the rest of the staffs other than her, I salute to you all. Keep up the good work.

Small room, centralized location, convinence ”
We booked a triple room and apparently the room size is very small don't even have space to open up our luggage however that how Japanese's building are built. The hotel location is quite near the main road but it's quite hard to find at the 1st place. For new comers, pls look for a triangle "concrete" park and Family Mart as a land mark. Subway is actually 15mins walking distance, nearest station is Shinsaibashi then look for Prada and Nike shop as a guideline to find your hotel! Cheers

Amazing location ”
Hotel was nice enough, rooms were a decent size but beds were super uncomfortable!! My friend and I stayed in a small double room and the bed was plenty big enough for 2 people. The location of this hotel made it totally worth the stay! A few minute walk from shinsaibashi station and all the action of namba/shinsaibashi Would definitely stay again!!

Location perfect”
Fine, only stayed 2 nights, but would have preferred to stay here than in the other hotel I had in Osaka, also for 2 nights. Biggest drawback is no food, really only for breakfast, yes there are other places to eat, but what about convenience? Even if it was just coffee n a croissant!? Handy for the subway, shopping and eating, ideal I would say, in terms of location. Not sure that rooms not being available until 3 pm is entirely necessary, could they employ more cleaning staff?

Convenient, accessible.”
The hotel is centrally located. Like the area around the hotel. Feels like an American town with people hanging around the park and with shops selling very interesting things. There's a 24 hours macdonald and Starbucks just 2mins away from the hotel, and a Lawson convenient store next to it. Very convenient and easy for one to get everything. Along the main streets, there is all the major shops with everything you need to buy as well. A walk to shinsaibashi walk and dontobori is very convenient too. One will never get lost staying at this hotel

The GM is the best”
The hotel easy to access to subway american town. There are lots of clubs around the area so be aware of the drunken if you stay out late at night. The local staffs are friendly and helpful. Morning free drink till 11am. Recommended for the stay with joy. Sometimes the lift have someone smoking despite "no smoking sign" was in place. I guess people dont understand the sign. Overall good place to stay in looking foward to go back to revisit. Recommended hotel with ease. Book for group room rather than single as group room will be bigger if you want an average presentable size. Suggestion to the hotel please include hbo movies and other channels. Just japanese channel finding hard to understand . Other than that is a good hotel to stay.

Lions Rock ”
Lion's Rock is right in the middle of America town. So there are lots of shops and restaurants and things to look at. It's an older hotel so it has the design of an American rock club slightly. Dark, warm colors and intersting floors ect.. There are free drinks in the morning and the price is very affordable. We had to ask for the bed to be changed since it hadn't been refreshed, so be sure to check that they did the room. This, I think, makes it easy to overlook rooms that are for new guests (probably have small cleaning staff). Anyways, besides slow or non-existent internet at peak hours, this hotel is great value.

Great Location”
Located in the middle of the famous Shinsaibashi, walking distance to subway station. The bed is pretty big for Asian, you can share it with your kids, but the room is small. Like most Japanese hotels, bathrooms and toilets are super clean and completed with all necessary amenities. Starbucks, McD and Burger King are around the corner, Family Mart is next door... very convenience if you're travelling with kids. They have a rabbit at the reception with General Manager title :)... my daughter loved it so much (she forced me to write about it in this review :) )...
