Great location and a spacious room”
I absolutely loved staying at The Lutheran, no complaints. In addition to hotel being within walking distance to Osaka Castle and Osaka Museum, it's also in a central area; a subway station entrance is less than a five minute walk away, and two 24hr convenience stores are right down the street. As the title of my review suggests, the double room I rented was surprisingly big (at least by Japanese standards), was very clean and had plenty of electrical outlets. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent too. And yes, while a church is directly attached to the hotel, they didn't pester me with religious pamphlets or anything like that, in case you're worried.

Great location near Osaka Castle and park. 100 metres from Subway station. Clean and well appointed rooms. Relatively spacious for hotel rooms in Japan. Staff friendly and patient. We'd definitely stay at this hotel again.

A great business hotel on the best location”
We always stay in this hotel everytime we visit Osaka. It's not a fancy big hotel with a lot of facilities, but so comfortable. All the stuffs are friendly and helpful. The building is not new but kept very clean. The best location, only a few minutes to walk to the Osaka-jyo castle, subway station is around the corner. There are plenty of unique restaurants and bars. A best value for the money you pay.

We had a great stay at the Hotel The Lutheran for the following reasons: 1. The hotel is very clean; 2. It provides high speed internet in the rooms; 3. The Osaka Castle Park is within walking distance from the Hotel. We went there twice to view the Cherry Blossoms; 4. The receptionists are very attentive and friendly. We had fast check-in and check-out; 5. There are local restaurants nearby as well as Family Mart and 7-Eleven stores; 6. The surroundings are very quiet at night; and 7. It is very easy to get a taxi in the area to explore other areas in Osaka.

Clean, spacious, great location”
The Lutheran Hotel is clean and also offered a larger hotel space than most others. It was also in a great location (2min walk to subway) and also near the Osaka castle. It was great because it was close enough to Namba (15-20min bu subway) but also far enough such that it was quiet. Great experience!

Excellent hotel - great value of money”
I stayed 2 nights in this hotel, hotel is 2mins walking distance from tanimachi4chome station(3stops away from Osaka Station/Umeda area), 5mins walking distance from Osaka Castle park. A lot of restaurants, 711 ad bars nearby. Very friendly and helpful service and breakfast is nice too, offering both western and Japanese food. Most importantly room is quite big, much bigger than other hotels I stayed in Japan.

Pros: Room size is quite large for Japan normally hotel, location closed to MRT Station, Osaka Castle just 5 minutes walking, Convinience Store around the corner, Hot Water kettle, Fridge, Bed sheet change every day, AC works well, Cons: The room should be more clean if care and good general cleaning frequently, Dust at all floor corner, specially below table, carpet have flaked, need generally cleaning, carpet washing etc, TV can be placed on the wall, no western speaking Ch, no movies, bath room smelly from cleaning towel of the Housekeeping when they clean the bath, the carpet cleaness it's below the average Japan Hotel, a little more attention will make this hotel excellent as average 8Japan Hotel

Will stay here again when visiting Osaka”
The location is very good, though not near the JR Osaka station or Umeda station, it's near subway. And Osaka Castle can be reached by foot. There are eateries and convenient stores nearby. The rate is very good for hotels of its grade in Osaka.

A roomier hotel, very close to a subway station (less than a min. walk), and also close walking distance to Osaka castle (10-15 mins). Very good breakfast both Western and Japanese style. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

we stayed there two nights. the hotel is located near osaka castle and very easy to be accessed by subway (3 stops from higashi-umeda). the room is very clean but its size is small.

Very Comfortable Hotel”
A short walk to Osaka Castle, subway line, and very easy to get to Nara from there. Staff were great. Very helpful, orderly. Rooms super clean and modern. Free breakfast could use an upgrade, but enough food to get you going. Restaurants and bars just around the corner. Bakeries, cafes, the same. I wouldn't hesitate to return here.

Great location right by Osaka castle”
good stay for anyone looking for a convenient launching pad to spend time aroun Osaka castle and Osaka museum area. The hotel is a bit dated but serviceable and comfortable with rooms that are large enough to comfortably fit a pack and play for baby crib. If you have an early flight the next day from kansai, then it's not the most convenient since no airport express easily available. We took the subway a few stops to Tennoji then the Haruka express from there which was easy if you're mobile (traveling with a baby and lots of luggage not so much). Like anywhere in Japan, plenty of 7-11 and family marts nearby to grab breakfast and snacks.

Good for the price”
The hotel room just had the minimum but functional. The bed was like sleeping on a rock but I experienced that in 70% of the hotel i went in Japan. The location is really nice as close distance of the castle. The electric plugs are not really friendly access if you want to use and reload your phone from the bed. The bedroom size was okay we could open 2 baggages at the same time. I really enjoy the breakfast choise which made me increasze the facilities with an additional star. If you are looking for an affordable price, this hotel is okay but i would not recommend it otherwise.

took a taxi from the kyobashi train station. it seems to be a lesser known hotel, so be sure to have a map, address and phone number so that the taxi driver can find it. it is a gem of a hotel for the price. i've stayed is several hotels in japan, and it is nicer than most. there is lan internet, no wireless. no english tv stations. nice small restaurant in the lobby area. breakfast is good, but is additional cost ( when i was there). recommended for those looking for nice accommodations, not luxury.

The hotel was pretty clean room is spacious very close to famous Osaka castle and you can go any place by metro central located good deal staff is good bad part breakfast not included you have to pay for breakfast buffet my wife lie it so much as an Asian me no as an western :)if you like Asian style breakfast you will love it area has very nice restaurants and mall internet is very good tv channel japanesse i like it ... :) no need anty other countries channel you in Japan :) I am happy with it ....
