Lachen overnight stay Dec 2021”
Lachen is a very small village and the hotel is located in Gurudongmar Road which is the prime and only location in the village. The room was clean and comfortable. Room heater was not available. Geyser in bathroom was present and worked well given the super cold temperatures in Dec. There was no electric kettle but the hotel provided hot drinking water in flask which kept warm through the night. The food was okay. Nothing extraordinary but for a single night stay, was enough and manageable. Overall a good stay.

Hotel and Rooms are not so good as it is shown in adds. No Room service with Hot kettle with Tea/ Coffee bags. Dinner was also not good.

Hotel is Neat, Clean & Location is also great. But you can't find staff in the morning for Hot water also, even though they know that people would start early you can find them anywhere. They won't even give us Tea Kettles for heating water. If you are looking for place to crash it is good enough.

Bad experience, bad hotel”
Lachen is a small hilly town without much amenities, however this hotel doesn't even have basic stuff required for comfortable stay. Since there is no mineral water sold at Lachen, you are solely dependent on hotel for drinking water. From the time we checked in, there was no staff available. We had to run up and down the hotel to find someone to help us with the check-in. All the hotel staff were hiding inside the kitchen even when we kept calling. There was no electricity backup except one feeble solar light. Even for water etc. finding a hotel staff was difficult. We barely managed to stay for one night and left the next morning for gurudongmar lake. The hotel staff had put all our luggage outside when we came back at 1pm. Since checkout was 12 noon, even with the hotel completely empty without any guest, the staff took our luggage out of our room and put it outside. Horrible experience with this stay. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Whatever facilities shown in the site was not provided to us. Especially geyser was not working. In this cool climate that was the main disadvantage. Even staffs was not there if we want to ask anything. Bad experience.

The hotel was easy to find. Our stay wasn't that much comfortable. We were not exactly offered the amenities listed down. The place isn't properly insulated which is highly needed given the temperature drops down to -ve during winters. The food was above average but not a lot of options were there. As of Dec'22, the wifi isn't working due to some issue in the Lachen area itself.
