Every expectation exceeded”

We enjoyed everything about Hotel Wailea. So many times, I've been enticed by beautiful pictures on a hotel's website, only to arrive and find the photographer had plied their craft to mislead me. This was the first time I've felt the pictures understated the real experience. It really is a gorgeous hotel and much of the time we felt like we had it all to ourselves. Their Beach Club is located at the Grand Wailea and is just a short shuttle ride from the hotel. When you're ready to head back, a quick call to the Hotel brings the shuttle back very promptly. While this was our first trip to Hawai'i, we did visit many other hotel properties during our visit and none compared to the quiet, elegant beauty of Hotel Wailea. The only less than pleasant surprise was learning upon check in that their policy is to collect up front a $50 per day charge for incedentals. We are pretty frugal travelers and I knew we wouldn't be charging anything to our room, so this was an annoyance, which I would have preferred to know about ahead of time. At any rate, we would still give this hotel our highest recommendation. Go and enjoy!

It a our first time in Wailea and we were so impressed with its beauty. When we arrived at The Hotel Wailea it took our breath away. From the friendly staff, the delicious food, the incredible service and the views! Spectacular! We are planning to retrun again and again.

Ocean View?”

ll ocean views - with the full ocean view category going for an eye popping $900 per night - paid in advance - with additional Resorts Fees and Taxes of $37/day. The picture attached are from the balcony of our full ocean view room (184)- a little disappointing - not what I expected from the description - and clearly other rooms in the Resort with much better views.The resort grounds are beautiful. the people are wonderful and the pool area exceptional. The single restaurant $$$$ served a great breakfast and lunch and an ok dinner. One small bar. The hotel is not within walking distance the beach - nor any other stores, restaurants etc - however the hotel does provide transportation around Wailea The setting is romantic and geared to couples wanting a quiet uncrowded stay - if your looking to enjoy the beautiful Maui beaches, stores, restaurants, nightlife this is not for you. My overall rating is based on the relative value/cost vs what you might expect from a luxury Maui resort

Romantic and secluded”

My partner and I loved the privacy of this hotel. The room was pristine, clean and had all we required. Only thing missing was a hob to cook in. It was not exactly a kitchennette by my standards given we were under the impression there was a little stove. Only a microwave oven was in the room. However, it was still lovely.

this place is a dream come true for people looking to just enjoy maui, and not have all the chaos of people not enjoying maui. the grounds are located at an elevated position so you are off the beach....but this is good. way better views, less mosquitos, less wind, warmer at night. the grounds are immaculately maintained. there is a sense of grandness about the place that the four seasons and the grand are missing. you feel like you have the entire place to yourself!! the only time you ever know that many other people are staying there is in the morning at the coffee, fruit, and pastry bar. the service is superior to anywhere else on the island. the valet guys are local and super nice. will answer any questions you have and give honest recommendations. the housekeeping does an amazing job because they dont have a thousand rooms to clean. the beds are soft and the linens comforter are new and fresh...not the 20 year old crap that everyone else has. this is a true travelers retreat, not a beachfront daycare.

Lovely place, nice staff, superficial customer focus”

Lovely resort, well positioned and with really pleasant staff. Given the premium price tag we were surprised that firstly our complaint of having a strong, musty smell in our room was met with only the introduction of a dehumidifier unit into our room (1 full day after our conversation with staff about the smell). No checking back with us to see if this worked, no apology, no attempt to assess if the problem had been resolved. This was further compounded by the observation that the general manager of the resort spent the whole of the allotted time during the weekly ‘meet the manager over a cocktail’ session avoiding any contact with guests! He spent the whole time wandering around the periphery making no obvious attempt to engage with us or any of our fellow guests. Finally, when checking out the less than positive response I gave to the reception staff’s question; ‘how was your stay’ was met with them skipping to presenting me with the bill - no attempt to understand further.

Excellent stay for quiet retreat”

Exceptional staff, great spacious suites, quiet location and pool areas. Restaurant had good quality food, wish they had at least one more restaurant there, but pool and in room dining was also good. They have their own "private" space for beach club which the friendly valet folks can take you down in their Teslas. Overall a great place for couples or those who just want a bit more serenity away from the crowded resort beaches.

Wonderful smaller hotel, great value for the money”

stayed both here and larger resort; enjoyed the self-sufficiency of coming and going and having kitchenette in room. was upgraded to a room with great view of the ocean, molokini, and the nw part of the island. very nice pool and open spa facilities; gym could be better. nightly resort fee includes free wifi and breakfast which was very basic and could have varied more. capische restaurant was very good with beautiful views. lovely, well kept resort with beautiful grounds. not on the beach but resort provides quick transport or better yet, would recommend renting a car (rates are reasonable and having a car is useful for grocery runs and day trips). very good value for the money.

Hotel with excellent ocean view”

Restaurant belongs not to the hotel, good food. Nice garden, perfectly maintained by staff. Beatiful outdoor location for weddings, events. free nearby parking, weekly invitation for happy hour. You must have a car to get there and around. loud road at the bottom of the area.

Heaven”

This place is good for couple or family. I strongly recommend to people who wants to take a rest or spend a time with family. If I have a chance to go here again, definitely I will stay here for sure. Also the room equipment is like a fancy house as like a NY home. You can do cook or you can enjoy the boss music and you can enjoy the private spa. Again, here is awesome places in Maui.

景色いまいち、部屋広いけど古い”

192に3泊しましたが、部屋の古さからくる独特の匂いがした、クローゼット内の掃除がされておらず、髪の毛が散乱していた、シャワー室に遮るものがなく、カーテン閉めないと外から丸見え、玄関先にある空調室外機が物凄い轟音でうるさかった、を理由に部屋チェンジをリクエストしたら、一番安いカテゴリーだったせいもあり、変えても同じと素っ気なく応対された。 レンタカーだったので、高速道路終点から近く移動には便利、ゴルフをOld blue courseで2ラウンドしたけど、ホテルフロントが予約だけでなく、色々と相談&アドバイスをくれて助かった。高台のレストラン、Spaからの景色は素晴らしかったけど、やはり海からは遠かったです。 マウイ島は大好きになったのでまたくるつもりですが、今回以上の予算があったら、海沿いにすると思います。同じ予算だったらまた宿泊もかんがえるけど、部屋の匂い、シャワー室の仕切り、室外機の騒音、は大きなマイナス要素ですね。。。

落ち着いてのんびりできました。プールが小さいのがちょっと残念ですが短期滞在で観光予定があったので、十分でした。リゾートで滞在するには微妙かも。

カードキー”

鍵はカードキーだったのですが、不具合で開かないことが実に7回中6回！ フロントから遠い部屋だったので、その度に携帯からフロントに電話をして開けにきてもらいました。そして謝罪なし。電話代金と時間を返して欲しい。 携帯電話の磁気が原因だと言われたが、じゃあこれからの時代どうするのだろう… だったら磁気を遮断するキーケースなりを持たせるべきだと思う。 スタッフはにこやかで感じは良かったが、サービスはぬるいの一言に尽きます。 ワイレアエリアではリーズナブルだったので選びましたが、値段相応ですね… 次は違うホテルにします。

객실은 훌륭하지만 동선이 불편합니다 ”

아주 넓고 편한 객실 (주방도구 모두 있음)그렇지만 차를 타고 나가야만 하는 구조로 식당이 한개 있어서 힘들었습니다. 조용히 장 다 보고 들어가시면 한적하고 둘만 있는 느낌입니다.
