This was just for one night. We were expecting to be in around 7pm, but Cebu Pacific was behind schedule as usual. We didnt arrive in Tacloban until 10:30pm. Our transfer shuttle was waiting for us and was very helpful with our bags. The price because it was after 6pm was 250₽ per passenger so 500₽ for my wife and I. Check in at the hotel was very fast and easy. We even got a room upgrade. A very nice suite that was better than most apartments I have seen here. Very clean and comfortable. A/C works phenomenally. Very large tub in the huge bathroom, but no bubble bath. The body gels provided gave decent bubbles and allowed my wife to relax in her first ever tub experience. No antislip devices on floor of tub so placed a washcloth on the floor of tub to decrease slipping. Bed is big and soft with 4 huge soft pillows. Breakfast was a buffet which was delicious. It was a god mix of Filipino and American cuisines, fresh fruit and cereal. The staff here is very friendly and accomodating!

Having missed out on my first choice I was still pleased to be staying here. Once I walked inside, out of the poring rain, I was blown away by this great place! All the staff were always welcoming and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble. When shown to my room, I was amazed how wonderfully modern and clean the place was. I had not enjoyed a hotel room like this one for a long time. It was a delight to be there. There was only one lift working but always fast. The wifi was also excellent, as was the hot shower and water pressure. The breakfast was a treat. If you are a garbage guts and fill a plate and do not eat it all, then bad luck, you get a penalty! no need to do this anyway! They have two wonderful restaurants with great food. The pool is on the top floor and gives you a terrific view of tacloban. The pool was also lovely. I would highly recommend this place. I would have no hesitation booking this one again

Food is excellent- the breakfast buffet, the coffee bar, and ohh man, the “Fizz” on the 9th floor is a dream. I’ve tried a ton of dishes, and all were great. The desserts in that hotel are incredible, and I’ve tried them all too. And it’s all reasonably priced too. And there’s a great view, and a great pool on the 9th floor outside the Fizz too. It is a super cool place! Rooms are clean and great too, with mattresses that are to die for. The staff is extremely helpful. Whoever owns and/ or manages this place really knows what they’re doing. Best hotel in the busy streets of Downtown Tacloban!”
Such a great location! It is located in the downtown of Tacloban City and accessible to the local food and delicacies of the area. If you don't like to try their local meals, there are a lot of fast food around the area. It is also just a walking distance to Ocho Seafood Grill (a local famous restaurant). Sadly, we weren't able to try their massage. But it was quite affordable when we asked the price. The basic back massage was Php 350 / hour. The food in the hotel itself, in Q Kitchen, is great as well! They serve Asian food. We tried Nasi Lemak and Pad Thai. One dish may be good for two people already. Since my companion and I are not really big eaters, we still have left overs of the Pad Thai. The staff are also very friendly and courteous, which is of course standard Visayan traits. The only problem we had was the people in the room next to us were very noisy. The walls between rooms are not quite soundproof. Good thing we can sleep very well even if we are surrounded by noise.

I have been traveling the world nonstop for over 5 years and can assure you that this is a world-class hotel. The rooms are well equipped, clean, and very comfortable. There are two restaurants and a bakery shop on site. There is a spa that is second to none in its luxurious feel and by far the most affordable I have ever encountered. The staff is superb - all extremely sweet, helpful, and cheerful. The food is delicious. The location can’t be beat. This is without a doubt the most wonderful accommodation in Tacloban.

Great hotel”
The hotel is small but the room is clean, the staffs are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is great! They have real tsokolate drink which I don't find in 4 or 5 stars hotel. They also clean the room automatically if you stayed more than one night. We booked here just to attend a wedding. Sadly, we have not tried the other facilities and restaurants as we just stayed here for 2 nights only. We arrived late at night on our first night. On the next day, we prepared for the wedding and got back at the hotel in the evening. Then, we checked out super early. But we'll definitely stay here again should we go to Leyte again. 😊

Excellent... Almost everything”
Excellent staff! I don't usually mind if there are problems with the hotel, if and only if the staff are there to fix the problem. There were a few issues, like the safe not working, and arriving to a room that was not a queen bed. The staff made sure to fix these problems with haste. The food was excellent. Nice variety of breakfast buffet, and fair portion sizes. The prices are a little on the more expensive side however. The restaurant on the roofdeck is a nice touch, but having dinner there can be on the loud side. It seems they are mixing two different atmospheres in the restaurant. Great entertainment with live music, but it is too loud for engaging in conversation with tablemates. The hotel has massage, small fitness area, laundry service and a tiny pool. For those who smoke, roofdeck accommodates your vice. Wifi is very spotty. My room had a very poor signal, and I had to rely on my own data. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Tacloban.

Jerric and his staff are absolutely the best in Tacloban. Super friendly and remember their returning guests with warm smiles and warmer greetings. The rooms are always clean and very comfortable. The restaurant is second to none. Greek and Japanese cuisine with a bit of American food thrown in for good measure. Warm and friendly atmosphere that invites you to relax. This has been my go to hotel for the past 6 years whenever I need to stay in Tacloban for a one night stay or a week long adventure. Simply the perfect home away from home.

Simply The Best”
XYZ is simply the best hotel in Tacloban, and possibly one of the best boutique (non-chain) hotels in the whole of the Philippines. Highlights include breakfast, the rooms especially the Fabulous Room across two levels affording privacy and family suitability at the same time, the staff who are all exceptionally well trained, well versed in top notch service standards, and all English speaking. The roof top pool is a treat. The restaurant unbelievable considering the wide range of specialist ingredients for its internationally themed menus some of which they must surely get shipped in, or did I miss the wasabi and daikon shop in down town Tacloban ;-) Hotel Wifi is pretty good, although inevitably slower at peak times - a region wide problem. The airport shuttle offers a good service with pre-arrangement, the dedicated hotel parking with 24 hour security a 2 minute walk away. Tip for getting to Robinsons Place Marasbaras - there is a regular jeepney service 5 mins walk from the hotel.

It’s clean, comfortable and modern looking. The staff are fantastic, extremely polite and helpful. The room was cleaned quickly and we’ll by the house staff. Breakfast was very tasty and quickly prepared. We dined at the Fyzz Gastropub on the 9th floor, had a really lovely pizza, great fraught beer & cocktail for the asawa!! Great atmosphere and service. Well done XYZ!!

The new & clean towels impresses me too, unlike the other hotels that they give old & dirty looking towels. I also love the room - the good smell and it is neat & clean. We have stayed for 30 days And extended for another 28 days. I have nothing to say but staying in this hotel are definitely worth it. They have everything in this hotel. Food are to die for!!!! Close to anything!!! Shoot out to every single Staff and Managers.. 🎉🎉🎉To Rose ,Jane ,Matthew, sorry for other staff that I don’t mention I forgot names lol you Guys are Amazing.. !!!You are so good with my children most specially with My little Girl Mia they all adore you!!!! The staff were very helpful. Great dining choices in two restaurants and the café - I ate at all 3 and the food was great as was the service. The morning buffet breakfast offered many choices. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

One of the best rooms I had. ”
When you enter the hotel, you'd think as if it is just one of the ordinary hotels. But when you enter your room, that's when you know it's one of the best. Though I just have a minor issue since the cr has no bidet. However, when you try their breakfast and their swimming pool, it is the best! You really get the best value for your money, even more. I'll definitely book on this hotel again on my next visit to Tacloban. THE BEST!

For 2 days in town and needed a hotel that could be used as basis to visit the area. XYZ is a smooth and well ollied machine! Everything is thought of and the staff are super friendly in assisting you. This already started with instant reply when asking about covid19 guidelines. Rooms Rooms are clean, have quiet aircon, TV, toiletries, and water comes from a glass refillable bottle. No more plastic! (Congrats XYZ). For breakfast, I was too late, and instead of missing breakfast, the staff rang the room or they should bring it to the room instead. Facilities The have a superb restaurant on the rooftop with live music, and food from various kitchens. Good food! Also the pool is on the rooftop, but sadly could not use it due government restrictions. Staff Staff is very well trained and super friendly. They are always there to assist. Conclusion XYZ is an exemplary hotel where everything is done right. Congrats to the management!

Hotel staff were veey accommodating on our request. We had to change our booking to an earlier date and they helped us to adjust and even upgrade our room as we have small children with us. Thoer customer service is superb. Rooms are clean and linens are fresh. Their spa is to die for! Highly recommended!

Just the best hotel in Tacloban....by far”
My problem by writing a good review, is that it makes this hotel more and more popular and it is harder and harder to get vacancy...lol Just the best staff nice place great food nice pool cool restobar on the roof. Last time I was there agoda subcontracted my reservation and the subcontractor downgraded my reservation. The staff fixed the problem in about 8 1/2 minutes. Just a great place.
