This hotel is new. I booked the Superior Double room on Agoda. It's very spacious with Ceiling to Floor windows on 2 sides so you can see the city below. Literally the entire wall is the window. My only complaint about this room is the huge column in the middle of the room. It takes away from the spaciousness of the room. The AC will have more difficulty cooling the ro...This hotel is new. I booked the Superior Double room on Agoda. It's very spacious with Ceiling to Floor windows on 2 sides so you can see the city below. Literally the entire wall is the window. My only complaint about this room is the huge column in the middle of the room. It takes away from the spaciousness of the room. The AC will have more difficulty cooling the room during the day because of the heat coming through the large window walls. They have karaoke facilities on the L floor, but the operating hours are 6pm-10pm. They have massage facilities but it's not open yet. The massage beds still had shrink wrap on them. There's coffee and tea making facilities in the room. There's not much to do walking distance from the hotel. Not a whole lot of nightlife. Turn right from the hotel, walk 2-3 blocks and you'll find a massage place that closes at 4am. Across the street from the hotel on the corner that's a large sign that says "Massage, Billiards, Karaoke 100 meters" but it led to nowhere. Turn left from the hotel and walk a block, there's a large outdoor restaurant/beer garden that looks like it might be popular. I needed to work over the internet and the wifi was spotty so I plugged in a cable into the router in the hallway. The reception watches the hallway cameras like a hawk and immediately sent someone over. I explained to them the wifi was spotty and I needed to work so that's why I plugged in the cable just for one night so they let me do it. I don't understand why people design new hotels with telephone ports, cable ports, electrical outlets, but no internet/ethernet ports in the room. The breakfast was a la carte, not a buffet like most 3 star hotels. Room Tip: Get the Superior Double Room. It's a lot more spacious than the standard room.

Some of the points that I am upset with is that I had chose the hotel because I had expected to use the spa facilities and it was down ( my package says I get to have discount for using spa so I am really disappointed when they tell me it is closed for the time being?) The staff can be helpful but they could not understand English, even the counter. Only 1 lady by the counter understand half of what I said. The room I was assigned did not have warm water and I only discover it late at night and was too late to change as I already settled down. In summary it is cheap but I felt I paid for some benefits and it was not delivered. Travellers who need a short stay for the night can consider this hotel as security is good.

There's a bus stop about 100m from the hotel, which we took bus 103 once to Han Thong Thay market (just 1km away; 20mins walk) Facilties: Lan Anh hotel provide basic facilities i.e. 1 bottled water per person, soap, shampoo, towel, a set of toothbrush and toothpaste. There was no hot water but fret not, the weather was so hot, the tap water came out hot too. If you need them to replenish the items, just let them know and they'll send it to your room straight away. Peace and quiet: We were given a room at ground floor. We basically cannot hear noises from the streets (trust me, you wouldn't want that), however noises like people talking and motorbikes starting up was quite loud. I didn't mind though as I was too tired and slept through the noise. Food around: This is the best. There's food stalls and shops all around. You definitely need to try each type of food from each shop. There's also a cafe we visit daily. Staff: Staff are excellent. They're friendly and they try their best to help us. We'd stop at their counter everyday to ask about which bus goes to where and what tour company gove the cheapest rate, etc. When they couldn't understand, they'll even google the word so they can serve us better. So happy with their service! Cleanliness: I'd give them a 3/5. Our room was cleaned daily, but not up to our expectations. The hair on the floor and bathroom was not completely cleaned up. We didnt realize our hair in the bathroom was not remove until the 3rd day when water started pooling haha. Also, be warned, we found 3 live huge cockroaches roaming around the room and 1 even got into my bag. Conclusion: Excellent place for those on budgets!!

A mini fridge and kettle was provided with the room (presumably if you wanted to have instant noodle) , however there was no tea or coffee. There are no hair dryer in the room however just ask at the reception desk and they will be happy to loan you one if needed. Overall it was a pleasant stay, despite some short comings it is still value for your money and worth considering.

I have stayed in this hotel many times, the rooms are nice size, I prefer the ones facing the street not the back. the staff changed frequently over the past couple of years I have stayed there but most times they understand what I need, The rooms are clean enough, but you have to ask for cleaning if you want daily. some days I got none, but I does not other me. The hotel is about 5-10 min taxi ride, area has a many coffee shops , convince store, super market and some local places to eat (if you want western food , none that I saw) .

We stayed at the hotel for 1 night only but was quite satisfied with the friendliness and comfortableness the hotel brought us. I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel, the room is good, the staff are friendly, also the guard. One thing I don't like is that every 10 pm they will knock at the door asking for the passport to report in the police which that is the rule in that area..very strict!
