The view from our room was not the best but the service and facilities that was provided made up for it. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

There are plenty of little eateries and restaurants that serves good Japanese food at a reasonable price. The hotel is also next to the Asakusa branch of Don Quijote, where tourists can buy almost everything they need. While we were staying in the hotel, the Sensoji Shrine was busy with activities and we saw some cultural processions which made the trip even more interesting. The hotel is very near the Asakusa Station for the Tsukuba Express line. However, most tourists will use the station for the Ginza line and the Toei Asakusa line more often, and the stations for these two lines are a good distance away. This was probably the only drawback for the otherwise great location that the hotel is situated in.

I would really come again to this hotel or if they have a chain in other parts of japan. A great experience. And we paid a little extra for the view, it was well worth it.

Being so tiny and with a window that does not open, the air can get a bit stuffy. Bed is comfortable, and staff cleaned the room everyday providing new toiletries and clean yukatas, that you can wear to sleep or to go to the public baths on the 14th floor (the best part of the hotel!). They are separated by gender, with a few individual seating showers to clean yourself before soaking in the big common baths (a big one indoor, a smaller one outdoor, and two individual outdoor baths), where you can socialize with other naked people. They include free breakfast in the Komeda Café downstairs, with 3 set options to choose from (best one is the toast with red beans). It's very nice and filling, but can get a little repetitive if you are staying many days. After our 6 nights stay in this hotel, we went to stay in another area of Tokyo for 3 nights, and on the last day we had to pass nearby this hotel to take the train out of Tokyo. It was early, we had some things to do around there, and we had a lot of luggage that didn't fit in the public coin lockers in Tawaramachi station, so we asked if we could leave them in the hotel for a couple of hours. They refused because we were not "currently" staying there, which I can kind of understand (even though we had just stayed there 6 nights!), but it would have been a nice gesture and avoid us the hassle to go to Ueno station to find bigger coin lockers.

Stayed here with my sister and we really liked the hotel. It's very convenient since it is near to Senso-ji Temple and Asakusa Station (Ginza Line of the Metro). The nearby area towards Senso-ji Temple has a lot of shops and restaurants you can go around. You will have a hard time going around trying everything! I would definitely stay here again since it's so convenie...Stayed here with my sister and we really liked the hotel. It's very convenient since it is near to Senso-ji Temple and Asakusa Station (Ginza Line of the Metro). The nearby area towards Senso-ji Temple has a lot of shops and restaurants you can go around. You will have a hard time going around trying everything! I would definitely stay here again since it's so convenient and the room is quite comfy albeit small even for two people. There aren't a lot of compartments where you can keep your things outside of your suitcase. That's the only downfall. However, we spent most of our day outside to sightsee around Tokyo. Staff is great and refills toiletries everyday. Even if you put the Do Not Disturb sign, they leave a laundry bag full of fresh towels and toiletries for you.

Though they were about 50 yen to 100 yen each, I would prefer it if they had included those in your room. The single room was small, nice, and comfortable. I liked how the bathroom included a glass encased shower! That is unique and a nice touch to the overall design of the hotel. Other than that, the staff were friendly, efficient, and communicated well. I would recommend a short stay here, but not for long term.

If you have a lot of luggage, you should know that it's 15-20 minutes walk to most of the Metro lines (Ginza etc), though the Tsukuba express line is very close (but didn't go anywhere we needed to go except Akihabara). You can take a bus from the Metro stations if you're brave, but a taxi should be no more than ¥800 unless traffic is very heavy.

The rooftop, another reason we book the hotel, opens only from5-7 pm, and closed during rainy days. So, basically, for travelers we don't have time to peak the view from the rooftop anyway. They upgraded our room to the street side, so supposedly, we can see the skytree, but, due to the angle problem ... we have to adjust our neck very much to see the great view. But we still appreciate. The neighborhood is anyway nice to have a view. The hotel offers free breakfast, simple but with sufficient and in time supply. Western breakfast style, with bread bacon eggs... and fresh fruits. The breakfast itself offers a lot of energy for us to explore the city. And the coffee there is also good. In terms of the location, I have to say, if one of the travel propose for you is shopping, then probably you should go to shinjuku or somewhere in the west part of the city. The hotel locates at Oshiage, northeast part of central Tokyo. At least 30 min necessary for you to travel to any other spot, except Asakusa and Ueno. But, the neighborhood around the hotel is quite local and neat, which offers you a view of their local life. Several restaurants near the hotel is nice, one bento station name origins and one BBQ worth trying after your whole day city trip.

It's a touristy area, and gets populated every weekends, extremely!! How do you get to the hotel, if you travel to Haneda airport, take the keikyu express line direct to asakusa, about 40~60minutes. You must alight at Asakusa station of the Asakusa/Toei line, exit A5 facing the street turn left and keep walking straight.. You will pass the next big 4 road junction, that's exactly the tourist/temple attraction area, you will also meet a big shopping mall Matsuya and another train station by tokyo metro, TOBU line.. Cross over and head straight on the right of Matsuya, you will see Macdonalds on the opposite side of the road.. Walk stright until you meet another big 5 road junction, you can see Tokyo next big attraction SKY TREE. Cross the road again, keep walking straight you will see the hotel, it's about a 20~30mins walk.. It's horrendous to by dragging all your luggage to the hotel, so as much as I know, good luck!!

The beds were comfy and the room was clean and new. There were also luggages space beneath the bed. The coffee machine was easy to use and a plus. The wifi was superb as each room get specific login+password so no bandwidth stealing during peak time! The tv was a smart tv so you can connect & stream from your mobile device. The most awesome thing was the rooftop of the hotel where you can see the Asakusa area with Tokyo skytree etc! Overall, this was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip.

P.s Be careful not to take the Asakusa Toei Line , it's another Station , and Asakusa Tsubuka is only 2 station away from Akiba . As for the staff , they were really friendly . All of them were elderlies , but they did their best to help you and they have a elderly cat call Buchi that roams around the hotel . She's really friendly and love getting pet . One more thing , do visit the The Forest of Owl nearby the Don Quixote . They rescue animals from previous owners and closed down pet cafes and you get to pet Owls , Capybara and alot more . So overall this place is really well-situated. Will definitely recommend people to stay there , but this is an old hotel that has been renovated , so you'll get to see some old design and new design mixed together . Sensoji Temple is a walkable distance away .

If you arrive in Tokyo via the Tokyo Station and carrying luggages, the travel via train from Tokyo Station to Tsukuba is hassle-free as all the train stations stops (Tokyo Station, Akihabara and Asakusa Stations) have elevators/escalators so you don't have to worry about carrying your luggages using the stairs. Cleanliness: Tip-top! Staff: The staff in-charge at the lobby can speak English so there was no communication issue. Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed during the time Sanji Matsuri (May 14th - May 16th), It was a unique cultural experience to take a calm walk down a street and turn a corner to see hundreds of people celebrating and japanese people in traditional attire supporting Gold pladded shrines walking and chanting through the streets of Asakusa near the major Shrine. Overall, if you want a quiet hotel situated on the outskirts of the old Tokyo area Asakusa, this is a good choice. If you want to be in the center of that particular area , this might not be the first option.

There are vending machines on the top floor. Overall, it's a good place to stay while exploring Asakusa but if you are tall, you might want to look elsewhere.

I loved the Iriya area, not crowded with tourists, but for me personally a very genuine Japanese experience. There are some beautiful old shrines in the area and lots of small restaurants. It is very conveniently situated for Hibya subway line. The best thing was the generous breakfast buffet, which introduced me to the culture of Japanese breakfast food and was a very memorable experience. Defintely very good value for money.

It is a very great and new hotel. I like the Slumberland mattress and very comfortable Japanese brand feather and down pillows and comforters. I stayed in this hotel 3 nights but I didn't want to wake up for every morning. I came back to my country and tried to purchase the same mattress but the seller said this model is exclusive for hotel only :-( Needless to say ...It is a very great and new hotel. There are 3 important things to do in Asakusa. Asakusa temple, Skytree, Cruise to Daiba. It just takes 5 mins walking distance from subway station to hotel. Temple and ferry terminal are also 100 and 200 meters from hotel. Please don't waste your time to take any Skytree pictures in the street since the 13/F hotel lobby floor is the best angle to view the tower! ( lobby window is super clean and transparent ...) I really suggest you to choose this hotel in your last few days of your Tokyo trip like me (b/c it is far away from western shopping and nightlife area likes Shibuya, Shinjuku... I would like to thanks Mr/Ms. Erika from the hotel. He/she replied my request point by point after I booked the rooms from Agoda before my trip. It never happen for so many previous hotel bookings from Agoda before. Many thanks for your good service! I will choose this hotel again if I stay in Asakusa.

The shower and bath room is separate with the toilet and sink, actually the former is too large, while the double room itself would be a bit small for two people with suitcases. The biggest advantage of the hotel is of course its strategic location, just a few minutes to Asakusa station with 2 subway lines, direct connection to both airports and areas south of Tokyo like Yokohama, as well as north, like Tochigi. The area around the station has a lot of shops and eateries. I only wish there were hair conditioner in the bathroom, it's important for those whose hair gets tangled and most hotels have it. Also, the tea pot was giving an unpleasant taste to water.

The location was easy to find. When we arrived, the staff was not there & no one was around as well, so we waited for about 30 minutes with no clue. It wasn't the time for check in (we knew) but we still needed to put our big luggage but no one was around. But other than that, the location was amazing, 3 different station in walking distance : Tokyo Metro Tawaramachi St, Tsukuba Express Asakusa St, and Tobu Subway Asakusa St that has direct line to Haneda Airport. Asakusa Senso-ji area was also in walking distance. Restaurants/cafe, supermarkets/minimarkets were everywhere. We booked for budget private family room for 3 with en-suite bathroom but we got bigger private room for 4 with en-suite bathroom for free instead. We could use AC, water heater, and hair dryer for free. The common room has free drink bar : water, coffee, green tea, black tea, and apple tea->all hot & cold, but fortunately it's only on the 1st floor. Microwave, refrigerator, coin locker are also free to use.

Room would be considered small for 2 people, but definitely still doable with luggages squeezing at the foot of our beds.
