If you're looking to stay at a hotel with a great location, this is the place. The Sky Tree and Solamachi mall is right across from the hotel. The train station as well. There is a huge LIFE grocery store at the bottom of the hotel as well as convenience stores around the corner. Excellent facilities and a Sizzler on the 5th floor which stays open till 11pm. Easy access by train to both major airports, Narita and Haneda. If you're adventurous enough, you can walk to Asakusa where the Sensōji temple is located. We will definitely be staying here again and again.

Overall, this was a great stay. Direct, inexpensive access to Narita airport through a subway express train (only $12, 50 minute ride) and a 5 minute walk to the Asakusa train station. Fast check-in and out. Right next door to Sensoji temple grounds and a large shopping/restaurant area. The only downsides were no wireless in the rooms (lobby only) and only one English TV channel (BBC) without paying extra for a TV access card.

The hotel wasn't hard to find, it's just a few blocks from the Asakusa train station. When we arrived at the hotel the staff greeted us with a big smile and they were all polite, they accommodated us quickly and gave us rooms on the 12th floor which is awesome because we can see the Tokyo Skytree perfectly and they even gave us complimentary drinks and amenities. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and will surely recommend it.

Nice hotel. Great breakfast. Amazing view. Would return. Only thing is that I turned up at the wrong Asakusa train station. Which is not walking distance if you have baggage and children. The area has lots of restaurants. Beside the hotel there's a small resturant that does a lushish Raman. Not a good area for shopping. I only stayed 3 nights. Make sure of you get the train back to Narita that you get the taxi to drop you on at the right station to get the skyliner.

its a very clean and neat hotel.. rooms are very small. but in japan is normal unless ur going for some 5 star hotel.. its super clean so i loved it.. anyone with huge body im sorry but u wont like it cos the room is that small. the onsen in top floor is something to try. its located in asakusa ( teh traditional tokyo) and literally 10steps away frm train station. food in asakusa is cheap compare to the city. check out is at 11.am.. i wish it was at 12pm. if you are going for a budget hotel this is a good option.

The hotel is clean, nice decoration, and within 5 to 10 minutes walk fo 2 train stations. For Asakusa train station take exit A2b (access to elevator) to avoid walk up many staircases via exit A1 if you have luggage. The staff speak limited English but make up for their good service. The room is small, standard in Tokyo. Definitely book again when visit Tokyo again.

Tips - There's direct train from/to Narita Airport (Narita Sky Access train) to/from Asakusa Station Toei Line which is just around 5-7 minutes walk to the hotel - if you can't catch the direct train, fret not as it will require only 1 transfer on the same platform at the right station so you won't have to worry if you bring big heavy luggages. Just ask the staffs at the station and they will tell you the train you should take, whether to transfer and the time of arrival of the train - The Toei Asakusa Line has elevator exit. just follow A2b exit signage. Its really easy - The hotel is also nearby the other 3 stations which are ginza line (elevator also available), tobu sky tree line and tsukuba express line. Tawaramachi Station of Ginza Line is also around 5-10 minutes walk - Keep in mind though that Toei Asakusa Line train to the airport is pretty packed at peak hours so you might have to stand for some time - If you are in for a ride on the bus, bus stops are just in front of the hotel. - You can choose not to bring your sleeping wear as they provide pajamas (although a bit short on me) and they provide new ones every day - If you make your own breakfast like I was, I think it's better to bring your own mugs as they only provide small glass. Hotel is centrally located in Asakusa, and is near major tourist attractions and shopping areas. You can walk to most places by foot from here. It's also located 5-10mins away from the nearest train station (Asakusa station). Staff was very helpful and polite. Several of them took the time to reply to questions I've asked after the booking (before check-in) and they replied really quickly! During check-in, the receptionist on duty was very kind and helpful even though we were tired and arrived late for our check-in. Breakfast served was delicious and the staff at Okamisan dining were always pleasant and friendly! I highly recommend it! The only thing that may be a negative is the room size. Its pretty small (as with most rooms in Tokyo) so it was a bit hard for us as we had 2 huge luggages. But the rooms were really clean and compact, we had everything we need and are very happy with our stay here. Highly recommended!!

Hotel is located near 2 train station. Asakusa and tawaramachi. Easily accessible by these 2 train station if you're coming from Haneda Airport as the train is direct to Asakusa station. However, it is quite far away from most if the shopping area. First impression of the hotel was that it looks decent and has a very nice lobby. Room was a bit small but with the money I paid for, it was quite worthwhile as I was told that most rooms in tokyo are small. Try not to bring huge luggages as it will be a bit of a problem to walk. Most of the hotel staff can speak English and this is a plus point because most Japanese in tokyo don't speak English. We didn't include breakfast for our stay so wouldn't know how their food would fare. Overall, it's a good hotel to stay in if you're on tight budget.

Dormy Inn HOtel in Asakusa is good in location and service. Right at the big road and near to the Asakusa train station. And also only walk away to the famous temple in Japan, Sensoji Temple. With lots of markets and mini markets and shops and restaurants along the way. Nakamishi market is a very good choice for tourist to get lots of souvenirs and other needs with low prices. Thanks to Mr. Asano who helps me to find a good medicine for my flu during my stay there. and also he helps my friend to get a taxi for us to catch sinkansen train to Osaka.

It's my third time staying at this hotel and I must say that it will remain my go-to hotel when going to Tokyo. Location is wonderful being a stone's throw away from Senso-ji and all the touristy charm of Asakusa. Train stations are easily accessible. A 24hr Donki just around the corner will make sure that shopping for the midnight snack will be a breeze Highly Satisfied Hotel is clean and well maintained, too - 3 years since I first stayed here and it still feels new.

We book this hotel mainly because of the famous architect. The price is actually a little bit over budget, considering the nights we stayed. But it really offers more than the architecture itself. The size of the bed is slightly better than the avg Tokyo standard, comfortable for 2 ppl. And the front desk can speak English. Only one cute mid age gentlemen has some difficulty in communicating with us, but he can understand at least and did try his best to help us. We really appreciated it. The rooftop, another reason we book the hotel, opens only from5-7 pm, and closed during rainy days. So, basically, for travelers we don't have time to peak the view from the rooftop anyway. They upgraded our room to the street side, so supposedly, we can see the skytree, but, due to the angle problem ... we have to adjust our neck very much to see the great view. But we still appreciate. The neighborhood is anyway nice to have a view. The hotel offers free breakfast, simple but with sufficient and in time supply. Western breakfast style, with bread bacon eggs... and fresh fruits. The breakfast itself offers a lot of energy for us to explore the city. And the coffee there is also good. In terms of the location, I have to say, if one of the travel propose for you is shopping, then probably you should go to shinjuku or somewhere in the west part of the city. The hotel locates at Oshiage, northeast part of central Tokyo. At least 30 min necessary for you to travel to any other spot, except Asakusa and Ueno. But, the neighborhood around the hotel is quite local and neat, which offers you a view of their local life. Several restaurants near the hotel is nice, one bento station name origins and one BBQ worth trying after your whole day city trip.

I booked this hotel in advance and got their cheapest rate for a double room with private bath. The room is not that big but cozy. They make-up the room everyday and provide toiletries with complimentary tea. The staff are nice - lend us weighting scale for our luggage - and they even have a laundry area which is a plus for me. The hotel is a bit far from Asakusa Station but still walkable. There is a bus #12 from Tokyo Station that stops infront if you dont want to walk. I haven't found any other hotel that would beat this with the price and location - walkinh distance to Skytree, Sumida Park, Sensoji Temple, Kaminarimon and Nakamise Shopping Street. There is also a nearby Don Quijote. There are convenience stores like Lawson and Mini Stop nearby and some awesome ramen places. And oh, it's also a couple of stations away from Ameyoko, Akihabara and Tokyo Stations where cheap shopping areas are located. The only cons I can think of? They don't have free bottled water or water dispenser and you have to buy everytime or refill in train stations and restaurants which are also safe anyway. I will book this hotel again if I can and recommend it to friends. Thank you Smile Hotel. 🙂

My stay at the APA Hotel was very comfortable. The room was small, but cozy and just perfect for me. The bed was super comfortable and there was a big screened TV, coffee pot and refrigerator for snacks with a 7-11 across the street and a little market down the street. The staff was friendly and always were happy to help. There is a restaurant which was very convenient....the sashimi there was fresh. The area is calm and pretty quiet, but not out of the way. I am a solo female traveler and I felt safe in this area. The hotel is within walking distance to the train. The Sensoji Temple and Asakusa shopping street can also be walked to. Kappabashi Street is not too far either. The Ginza Line which is near the hotel can be taken to the Shibuya Station where there is a lot going on. I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would not hesitate to return if I was ever in Tokyo again.

We expected the room to be small - and it was! But what we didn't expect was how ingenious the room design was that it could fit so many things into it. We are business travellers and as such, we have a lot of equipment for our workshops in the conference that we were attending in a venue about 8 minutes walk away. However, there was enough space for us to work on our materials as well as to store our things. The under-bed drawer was a good way to have additional space. The Hotel Mystays Asakusa was walking distance to the Tokyo Skytree, the Sumo stadium, and the train stations. However, we are walkers, so the distances are fine for us. It may not be so for other travellers. Mystays do have bicycles for rent, and would be an excellent way to explore the area.

Location is fantastic, right near the Asakusa station. Closest exit is A2b but if you have luggage, look for the elevator near A2a. The hotel is pretty standard for the area. It's pretty cozy, meaning small, but it did have a storage area beneath the bed which was nice. I could keep my suitcase open. The bed was superb, great support and very comfortable night's sleep was had. The bathroom is really small and has almost no counter space. In addition, the ceiling is really low. I'm only 5'9" but I estimate that if you are over 6' tall, you might rub up against the ceiling when you're standing in the tub/shower. The facilities are pretty minimal. This hotel does not have a laundry room. There is a breakfast cafe on the first floor but I did not eat there. I just picked up things at the nearby convenience stores. There are vending machines on the top floor. Overall, it's a good place to stay while exploring Asakusa but if you are tall, you might want to look elsewhere.

Pros: Perfect location. There are many restaurants close by. Very close to the tsukuba express line(asakusa station). 6 mins from airport limousine bus stop. 6 mins walking to metro station. Hotel located right atthe tourist walking street. Perfect for young couple. Friendly staffs. There is shared microwave and vending machine for soft drink in the hotel. Cons: Small room. Noisy at night. No view when you open the window. No lift(but the staffs will help you with the luggage) however, it is still difficult for the old people or a family with young baby. Aircon is hot and cold the whole time. TV is difficult to use if you cannot read japanese. Checkout is troublesome because you need the staff to help to bring down the luggages but during check out time there was only one staff at the counter and many people were checking out at the same time so we had to bring some luggage down by ourselves. We have requested for the early checkin but it was not possible. There is no hotel lobby.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in December 2018. I must say it was perfect. The staffs was friendly and will do whatever it takes to help you even though they speak only little English. But no problem at all, we manage to communicate. Nearby restaurants was pretty good so no issue in finding food. There is a supermarket just down the road very convenient. This hotel is just one stop from the popular station Ueno. Getting around Tokyo was not an issue, train station just 1min away. Coffee, tea and juices are free for hotel guests and every night they served breads from 7-9pm, 9-11pm they served simple rice, soups with Japanese sides. Very very good! We booked a twin room for 4 of us, my kids were 7 n 9yo and the room was simple and extremely clean. rooms in Tokyo in general is small hence we don’t mind small room. I definitely will recommend this hotel to all, if you like to stay in a small town this is the perfect place.Well done vessel inn staffs we really appreciate your kindness

I stayed here with my daughter recently and we thought it was the perfect location. Actually, we loved the fact that when we came back after a long day wandering around Tokyo, it was a smaller neighborhood without all the bright lights you find in other locations. The room was great with every amenity we could ask for including pajamas! So you don't have to bring them! The had large oversized shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower, so that was a big plus! It's so close to the Asakusa train station which makes the perfect access to just about anywhere in Tokyo.

Gracery Asakusa is just what you'd expect from a middle range priced hotel. It's new and clean, the interior is very nice, modern with Japanese hints. The staff is formal, friendly, speak English well. The room has everything a traveller would need, micro oven is on 2nd floor as well as coin laundry (400 yen, no detergent needed). The shower and bath room is separate with the toilet and sink, actually the former is too large, while the double room itself would be a bit small for two people with suitcases. The biggest advantage of the hotel is of course its strategic location, just a few minutes to Asakusa station with 2 subway lines, direct connection to both airports and areas south of Tokyo like Yokohama, as well as north, like Tochigi. The area around the station has a lot of shops and eateries. I only wish there were hair conditioner in the bathroom, it's important for those whose hair gets tangled and most hotels have it. Also, the tea pot was giving an unpleasant taste to water.

It was the MOST welcoming stay for me and my friends (3 pax) All the staff there spoke superb English and they were really generous on providing information of their local attractions. They'd advice you on how to get to wherever you want and they will even print out maps for you so that you wouldn't get lost. Pantry is on the 6th Floor. If you reach early and not able to check in, you can bathe on the 6th Floor. Laundry can be done too. Smoking area is also on the 6th Floor. They have a board filled with information of interesting places for you to visit (E.g. The Lock Up Restaurant, Yu Rei Restaurant, Robot Restaurant, Studio Ghibli and etx etx) all pinned up. They greet you each time they see you and they always ask and make sure that you day was alright when they see you. Feels like we are a family. There are lots of Eateries and Souvenir shop that you can visit as well. It is also very near the Tokyo Sky Tree Tower. Few mins walk to Bus Stops and Asakusa Train Station. There is a direct train straight from Asakusa Train Station to Narita Airport as well. When we left, we even get a cute farewell gift! Good Location, Value for Money, Awesome Staff, Awesome Service. Will definitely go back there again when I am travelling to Tokyo!

The hotel is good, clean, and quiet. It is a bit far from the main Tokyo downtown areas and is maybe 10-15 minute walk from the closest train station. There is a bus stop though 2 minutes so that's good, we took the bus from the Tokyo Shinkensan Station. You have to be a bit organized to keep your stuff in order in the room as it only has space for the mattress, table and fridge. It didn't bother us as we have backpacks but just keep in mind in case you have suitcases. There's a great izakaya around the corner and the hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood - good place to feel kind of a local!

my five nights' stay was indeed pleasant. i arrived after midnight but with reservation, a member of the staff waited up . it is close to sensouji temple and the asakusa train station... very convenient to walk around and visit places like sumida park, the asahi brewery building, nakamise shopping street and the tokyo river cruise.the hotel staff was friendly and the bread breakfast was good. i like the diy laundry which was only 100yen for the washer and for the dryer. staying here was real value for money .i would enjoy coming back to stay here.

The location was easy to find. When we arrived, the staff was not there & no one was around as well, so we waited for about 30 minutes with no clue. It wasn't the time for check in (we knew) but we still needed to put our big luggage but no one was around. But other than that, the location was amazing, 3 different station in walking distance : Tokyo Metro Tawaramachi St, Tsukuba Express Asakusa St, and Tobu Subway Asakusa St that has direct line to Haneda Airport. Asakusa Senso-ji area was also in walking distance. Restaurants/cafe, supermarkets/minimarkets were everywhere. We booked for budget private family room for 3 with en-suite bathroom but we got bigger private room for 4 with en-suite bathroom for free instead. We could use AC, water heater, and hair dryer for free. The common room has free drink bar : water, coffee, green tea, black tea, and apple tea->all hot & cold, but fortunately it's only on the 1st floor. Microwave, refrigerator, coin locker are also free to use.

Hotel is within 10~15 minutes walk from Minami-Senju Station. Accommodation wise; Room has a small TV, an air-con, refrigerator and has futon for its bed. Room would be considered small for 2 people, but definitely still doable with luggages squeezing at the foot of our beds. Bathrooms are located on the first level and every level has a shared toilet with 2 cubicles, making it convenient. Hotel staffs are very friendly and kind to advise you around the area of Asakusa. Been there for 12 nights and It's also very close to supermarkets and convenience stores as well. Overall it was a great hotel with a very affordable price! 5 stars!

Ukuran tempat tidur ya cuma 180x200 dgn tinggi 100 ( cuma bs duduk😂) . Sayang nya kalo tirai di tutup malah jd bengap... jd kita tirai sedikit spy hawa ac masuk . Library nya nyaman banget dan suguhan minuman nya jg enak . Syukur nya kalo ketemu sesama tamu yg ga berisik dan ga jorok . Kalo gak kan bau nya ga enak krn bersebelahan . Buat yg mau adventure .., tempat ini recomended👍

Very small room with 2 single beds, no place to properly open up the luggage. The only consolation was the warm toilet seat. There are restaurants and mall is surrounding the hotel. There’s a McD next to the hotel. Distance from hotel to train station is nearby about 8-10mins walk. From Asakusa station, go to Exit A4 to go to the hotel. Communication with staff was rather difficult as the staff only communicate in Japanese and hardly any English.
