Two Ladies working front desk at one point friendly but not from England so unable to give any directions but you can locate a concierge who can assist. Employees in bar not as friendly but also wondered if understaffed in this specific area. Either way well worth the price. We did request a city view through this booking app which we did not receive and hotel booked when arrived so unable to move. If you have special request I would verify with the hotel prior to checking in to ensure they received the message and can accommodate.

We booked this hotel through agoda as it had the best price. The hotel is in a great location as the tube stations are within walking distance , so this made it easier to get into the city centre . Travel around for work will set up a certain of benchmark regarding accommodations. I can imagine guests may find the room 'small' but to me it is quite subjective and so inappropriate to use this term. Mostly conveniently located in city center and everything smart designed with a maximum efficient/effective use of the small space. Nearest underground will be the Temple station. From there on it's just a 5 min walk or else just take a bus which brings you in front of the hotel. When arrive in the hotel you are welcomed by a lovely scent which indicates the Zen feeling in this hotel, very promising start. Then the receptionist welcomed me with two good news: -room upgrade -cheese/wine tasting session between 5-8pm In short: Great hotel for short stay and you won't regret the choice

The beds are comfortable, There's storage under the beds for your luggage and a safe and TV. The shower was brilliant with adjustable shower head so you can go from rainfall to powershower if you wish. There's no kettle in the rooms but you are never more than 50m from a coffee shop, in fact there is one opposite the hotel! Pros: great location, nice price, Clean, quiet and perfect if you just want to sleep in the room for 1-2 nights Cons: bathroom doors are just frosted glass so bare that in mind if you are sharing!

It takes about five minutes to reach the hotel from the Liverpool street station, you take the upper exit (with the sushi cart outside) and turn left. Booking with Agoda also ensures you get the comfort package - wifi, towels with toiletries and TV, for which you'd otherwise have to pay extra. The staff was always helpful and polite, and the 24h reception is a big plus. You can get tea, coffee and snacks. Overall a great hotel that I would highly recommend.

London was the last leg of our UK tour. We didn't know what to expect when we booked Malmaison on Charterhouse but judging from the pictures, we thought it would be a nice end to our trip. Check-in was fast and the reception staff was just totally helpful. When we got to the room and opened the door, (we were in Room 208 by the way), our jaws literally dropped. The room was huge! The previous few hotels were good but rooms were never this huge - we could both open up our full size luggages and still have space to prance around. Facing us was a day bed/lounger in classy black leather. There was a small little coffee table with 2 comfy chairs to enjoy the great complimentary hot beverages available. Mega-huge Samsung TV hung across the bed. The bed .... On the bed was so comfortable it made each morning extremely excruciating trying to pry ourselves away from the sheets. The toilet...the size....the layout...fantastique! The complimentary toiletries had messages printed on them that were hilarious "The Best Shampoo You'll Ever Steal" and "Bodywash Better Than You Have At Home"...They were so wonderful to use that I heeded Malmaison's advice and stole them! The location of the hotel was also great. 5 minutes westward walk to the Barbican Underground Station, and 8-10 minutes eastward walk to the Chancery Lane Underground Station. If you're up for a leisurely walk, the Tower Bridge is just 25 minutes away and it's also not too far off to the funky part of town called Shoreditch and Redchurch Street. The hotel is easy assessible but yet situated in a quiet part of town where there isn't much noise. What could one ask for? I didn't try the food but am sure it would be good (although the prices are rather high). Bed was huge and amazingly comfortable! It's a very easy hotel to get too if you are flying from Stansted, particularly!

Been so close to St Pauls cathedral was superb and very central to the rest of London. Tour bus stops right outside hotel as well as many normal London buses. Tube station is a short walk from hotel. Plenty shops and eating places around. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Thistle Barbican for a week on business. I can honestly say that this was one of the best hotels in Londaon that I have stayed in. The rooms were very clean, the hotel facilities were superb (love the swimming pool, sauna, steam room etc). The hotel is near the royal courts of justice and we had a little difficulty finding it as the sat nav stopped us infront of a bank. However, once found we were pleased to find the hotel tucked away behind Fleet Street and being in Temple area, it was surrounded by barristers offices/ chambers. Not far from St Paul's and a five minute walk from a variety of tube stations as well as a 20minute stroll to Covent Garden! Would definitely stay here again! Great value!

Chocolate milk and cookies were left when we got back to the room after being out in Shoreditch. Couple complaints... 1. we stayed on the floor that under renovation. We had to use elevator at the restaurant instead of main elevator. 2. There is quite loud noise from near by area all the time.

We actually stayed in the hotel in two stints, checking out for a trip around England in the middle. Once again, the staff we ever ready to help us get our extra luggage stored so we do not have to lug around excess baggage. Reading this, it doesn't sound like much. However, it's really not WHAT they did that really impressed me but HOW they did it. It's difficult to explain it in words. When we checked in the second time upon our return, Saul and Natalia deliberately chose a room that was more comfortable for us since we were travelling with my 4-year old daughter. They literally showed us two different rooms and let us choose which one we prefer. And Alessandra who checked us out was also superb. I'm not someone who normally remembers the name of hotel staff but you can see I definitely remembered the ones from South Place Hotel. I can definitely say I'll stay at South Place Hotel the next time I travel to London and can whole-heartedly recommend it to my friends and family.
