Stayed 3 nights over Thanksgiving. It is very convenient to the airport and they offer free shuttle. The rooms are pretty basic but the beds are super comfortable. The rooms are pretty basic but the beds are super comfortable. I had a room that faced the golf course so it was very nice. This is an older property that has been recently updated, but there isn’t much to this place. They have a very small gift shop with prices that are higher than the cruise ships!, a lobby bar that has good food and reasonable prices, and one restaurant that is pricier. There is a small outdoor pool and a nice workout room. I believe there is a “convention” or business space on the second level. This hotel does a huge cruise business pre and post cruise so they are very busy on the weekends. If you are looking for dining options, there are none. You are too far to walk anywhere. Eat at the airport!! There are lots more dining options at the airport and the prices are comparable to the hotel. This hotel is right across the street from the Metro station though. You can take the metro rail or a metro bus just about anywhere from there. I used the metro rail to go downtown, and took the people mover which was good. I took a bus on the way back which you can do, but it is extremely time consuming. The black Friday weekend did not help traffic matters. The staff at this hotel are fantastic, friendly and helpful. There is a bartender named Vincent at the lobby bar who is really nice! Good food there too.

This hotel is close to the airport by far away to avoid hearing planes. Our room was very big and clean with all equipments. Breakfast in morning was included and it's a buffet in the hotel bar. Choice is good (cold & hot food) and in line with Best Western standard. Two improvement points: swimming pool was is maintenance and not open mid of June and parking is now ch...This hotel is close to the airport by far away to avoid hearing planes. Two improvement points: swimming pool was is maintenance and not open mid of June and parking is now charged for 12USD per day. As it was indicated free of charge in the web site when I booked my room, they offered me the cost for free.

I had a terrific stay. I arrived at the hotel early in the morning and my room was not yet ready. The hotel staff helped me get to the dolphin mall (which I wanted to go to for outlet shopping). They will drop you off at the Sofitel (around the corner) and a shuttle does a pick up from there- $5 each way. My room was large, the cable channels were great, wifi was f...I had a terrific stay. Solid breaky in the morning, I caught an early flight and there were 'to go' bags waiting in the lobby. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. I would happy stay there or at any Hampton Inn again after that experience. Oh and the location is brilliant - supermarket and restaurants across the road!

Think if you were a light sleeper or jetlagged you might hear the odd aircraft taking off, but you are near an airport.... amenities in the room were very decent, and the room was also very clean. bathroom was huge and once again equipped with everything you'd need: toiletries, enough towels, hairdryer etc. we didn't eat dinner or use room service, but the breakfast was exceptional. having the continental breakfast was more than enough - a wide selection of fresh fruits, yoghurt, juices, bread products. the coffee unfortunately wasn't great at all but the service and friendly staff slightly made up for it - there's enough well-known branded outlets back at the airport for decent coffee :) the hotel was being renovated at the time of the stay, but there were signs everywhere and staff ready to explain and assist if any problems arose. was impressed with check-out too, again friendly reception staff really helped this speedy service, and the airport shuttle was very punctual (on the hour then every 20mins). no complaints at all really! great for a quick kip at a reasonable price. would stay here again if I was transiting thru MIA.

We had to extend our stay a couple of nights and called the front desk who quoted rates. The front desk was rude and implied we were lying, even though the manager later found the rates quoted in the notes. We were charged and extra day and were overcharged and then charged instead of credited, so I had to speak to the manager again to have corrected. The staff was very sweet and accommodating. Best part of our stay. The hallway had an unpleasant odor. The bathroom was small, with inadequate space to maneuver and minimal space to set up toiletries near the sink. The beeakfast was in the low end of the typical all inclusive room/breakfast hotel, and they only serve until 9 on weekdays...difficult for people traveling...The staff was very sweet and accommodating. That should be fixed.If triple AAA went to survey this hotel, they would have gotten 3 stars. I enjoyed eating in the Hotel restaurant. The food was excellent. The dining experience was 5 stars. Helpful tips to busperson staff: Butter should pulled out as soon as guest arrives. Butter needs to be soft when placed onto table. When guest arrives Serviet should be placed on lap. Busperson should be a bit more attentive and offer to refill the bread basket.Guest should never ask.The busperson is hispanic and was attentive to Hispanic female server. I felt the non hispanic server (male) was not getting service in his station. Palm facing guests (OPEN HAND SERVICE) should be followed when delivering or clearing plates. Utensils should be carried by the but of the utensil.I know a lot about hotels and restaurants, because I use to work for triple AAA.
