i booked 2 rooms for myself and my son and his partner.There is a good car park and the staff were ok,functional rather than friendly though. The bar was empty except for 4 or 5 locals who were loud and foul-mouthed.The bar had 5 pumps,2 of which had no beer and a third was not working. I was given a complimentary bottle of budweiser until the pump I wanted was mended. The bedrooms were clean and functional except that the toilet seat in my son's room was badly broken. In the evening,after returning from the Taste of birmingham food show,we took bottles of wine back to our room rather than spend time in the bar area. There was a restaurant which seemed pretty expensive and another bar area somewhere but it was shut during the afternoon when I went to see how it was and I didn't try to look at that facility in the evening. Breakfast is charged separately at £8 which ,I suppose, isn't too bad but we didn't try it based on what we had seen overall.
