This hotel is absolutely gorgeous and it provides a comfortable, spacious and beautiful room to return to after a long day out. Really enjoyed our stay at Seashells especially because it’s located less than 5 mins away from the lively night market, making it really convenient. The only reason we gave staff 4 stars was because some of the concierge staff could not communicate with us and we had to wait a really long time for someone who could assist us to come around. However, while waiting at the hotel lobby, we were unexpectedly served free brownies which was a definite plus point. Also, the cable tv keeps hanging and therefore the facilities did not get 5 stars as well. In summary, this hotel is definitely worth the money and we’ll definitely look forward to staying here again if we return to Phu Quoc.

When we booked Thien Hai Son online with Agoda, we intended to only stay there one night, as by local standards it is a little expensive. However after spending the first night there we very quickly decided that it was good value and asked if we could extend our stay for the rest of our time on Phu Quoc. This request, along with everything else, was attended to with a minimum of fuss and a warm friendly smile. The hotel has a variety of accomodation, including general hotel rooms and also beachside bungalows. The first night we spent in a "mountain view room" and the rest of our stay was on the opposite side of the hotel in a "seaview" room. The rooms were the same except for the view, but were spacious and airy with plenty of closet space. Perhaps one of the only criticisms I could make of this hotel, is that the the ensuite bathrooms are in need of renovation. However they are clean and functional and provided with a full array of toiletries. The hotel also has quite a large restaurant where the included buffet breakfast is served and that is also a delight, with a wide range of Eastern and Western dishes to choose from. I can recommend the seafood pancakes. However I think the best part of the hotel is the private beach, which is equipped with plenty of sun beds and some sporting equipment for the more energetic. The beach is also staffed during the day with attendants providing towels and generally maintaining the area. The beach area is also served by a seperate bar and cafe, which is an ideal spot to relax with a cold drink and watch the sun go down over the sea. The hotel also boasts a very large swimming pool. One other thing that may need to be considered by those with limited mobility, is that the hotel, although only three stories, does not have an elevator, so a ground floor room may be required. And at the end of a wonderful stay, the staff will happily transport you back to the airport for your outbound flight.

1. Value for money 9/10: cheaper than nearby. Newly opened about 3-4 months. Got free upgraded to better room without asking. Nice Breakfast buffet, inclusive for any type of rooms. 2. Location 9/10 : 1 min to beach. Still new so most of ppl still not know about it, even the locals. Amazing beach, massage right at the beach. 3. Cleeniness 10/10: nothing to complain about. New hotel, daily cleaning service. Rooms are still smell of wood and paint. 4. Staff: 10/10 extremely friendly and helpful. They did their best for any requirements. Free pickup from airport by the manager when asked for the hotel address details only. A Staff, I forgot his name, he discounted 1 day out of 4 days for scooter rental. 5. Facilities: as mentioned aboven, new hotel, clean room & bathroom, sauna, jacuzzi, relaxing Sunset restaurant at the rooftop & no no one using sunbathing chair, yes indeed beach just stone steps away :)

I've booked airport pick up through hotel. Out from airport, couldn't find anyone holding signage of my name. Without choice, we took a taxi to hotel. Upon arrived, I was really fused with the bad arrangement. The receptionist who was on duty couldn't understand English well has to call the manager on duty to take over. The Manager on duty - Phurong Tan Phat, reacted professionally. He patiently understand my situation and apologized for the mistake made. He compensated us with rooms upgrade and complimentary transfer to airport when check out. During our stay, he tried his BEST to help us on transport arrangements within Phu Quoc. On the checked out noon, he ensured we had everything arranged properly and sent us off. I've stayed in so many hotels, this is the BEST manager who i've met. KEEP UP with the good job!

French-owned La Veranda without a doubt is the classiest hotel/resort on Phu Quoc Island as of this writing. The other self-proclaimed 4-star hotels are more like 3-star. You can tell that a lot of consideration was put into its design including its size (it's a small resort) to make it more complimentary to the environment instead of sticking out like a sore thumb. It's a very nice place for honeymooners and couples, though there were more European families than couples when we were there in August. The beach in front of the resort has choppy waves, but warm and ok for body-surfing. The restaurant and spa are expensive, which is expected at such a nice resort. My girlfriend and I, who are Vietnamese and American-born Vietnamese, respectively, did not find the contemporary Vietnamese cuisine that good, especially for the price. Luckily, there's a 2-star Vietnamese-owned hotel just up the road called Eden, which has good and much cheaper (though pricey for Vietnamese standards) restaurant, so we ended up eating there everyday. We spent about 150,000-300,000 dong per meal for 2 people vs. 900,000 a meal at La Veranda. Also, at night, we liked going just left of the resort beach to this beach bar for drinks. They had little huts with red lanterns and had cheap cocktails - 30,000 for rum or vodka and some mixer. Bai Sao, the nicest beach on Phu Quoc is about 40-minute taxi ride (220,000-280,000 dong) from La Veranda, and has no resort or hotel, which is a good thing. It does have, however, a good inexpensive restaurant where we ate for 150,000-250,000 a meal. The entire establishment on the beach (restaurant, beach chairs, store, water activities) is all under one entity - Sao Beach Club.

We looked many places in Phu Quoc then we chose Phu Quoc Villa. I booked my stay there but on the departure day something happened that we missed the flight, we had to rebook the tickets and I called the hotel to help me change my time (my booking on agoda is canot be cancelled or refund - I paid all the fee for 3 nights). They were so nice and agreed for me to change the stay days without any fee. First thank you! And all the services there is also good, they have washing machine for you to Self-washing clothes, they have the kitchen for you to cook... Rooms are also good with bathtub, clean and big comfort bed Only one thing to complain is mosquito! Lots of mosquitoes! But cannot blame the hotel because Phu Quoc island is the capital of mosquitoes all over the world!!! I'll come back here on my next visit to Phu Quoc!

The room is a bit run down but be rest assured the pillows and beds are always clean. So are the bathroom . Location is fantastic. The hotel is walking distance to the night market and there are many choices of cafes/restaurants around it. The beach is accessible by walking about 200 m down to the right of the hotel. Ms Ang gave the best service at the hotel. She arranged for the cheapest and good transportation and recommended the itineraries . We enjoyed ourselves very much. She even gave me some gifts on my last day.

This was one of the most amazing little places that we have ever stayed! Please go visit this beautiful family run business on the beach and you will not be dissapointed. We were treated so well, from the minute we arrived until the minute we checked out 6 days later! The quaint bungalows are well taken care of and cleaned daily for you. The food was spectacular and fresh every day that we were there. We ate at a couple other places but knew in a hurry that our restarannt had the best food so there was no need. The staff are so attentive and truly want to make your stay nice. The family works so hard to make this the perfect vacation for you. We will be back next year and will definitley stay here! I just cant say enough about this place....It was my favorite place! Thank you Phuong Binh House....we loved our stay!! You made us feel special! Hugs from Canada!

First, i found some mixed reviews on Agoda and felt afraid of when booking. After arrival, we really enjoyed this place and like the way of their hospitality, especially owner who are really keen on serving guests and chatting with guests to recommend on places of interest and restaurants. We booked our dinners there after finding outside restaurants are not really delicious and more expensive than this place. Though we had minor mistakes with the tickets to VinOasis due to misunderstanding with travel agent through this place.. Overall: totally satisfactory

The hotel location is good. Plenty of shops and eating places around. Walking distance to the beach. At night you can hop to any of the PUB along the beach for a drink. I took the VIP room. It is large and the decor is nice except that it is not facing the beachfront which I have booked for. Breakfast was good. The staffs are friendly, especially the staff named Ms. Ly Ngoc My (Reservation Sales). She greeted every single guest who comes in for breakfast. On 3 dec, when I was having my usual breakfast. She came to me and asked me about my departure. I told her is 4 Dec. Quickly she told me my booking is until 3 dec, which is today. I checked my notes in my phone & realised I have booked one day less. If it is not her who has a conservation with me about my departure, I will know about my mistake. She told me I can extend one more night by informing the reception. Kudos to her excellent service. Thank you very much.

We booked this hotel for two nights. Cosy bed and it is pretty enough for two-pax stay. Bathroom is open area with natural sunlight shining through the plastic roof, which turns out quite wet if it rains. Motorbike rent at 150,000 dong per day. We had electricity cut-off after a thunderstorm at night, and the friendly security guard barely understood english. Eventually we managed to look for the fuse box and turn the electricity back on. Thanks for the stay!

We were one of the first few customers, as the hotel had just opened, hence everything was new & spotless, in which you could still smell the paint on the wall. The entrance is huge, absolutely beautiful, great swimming pool facility. On arrival, the staff were very accommodating in providing a portacot on request,additional towels etc were never a problem. The breakfast started off initially a little questionable, as there was no choice in menu and a 3 course meal was just bought out. On day 2 it got better in which they asked what we had preferred, the meal also varied. By day 3, the buffet had been setup, the food choice was great, with Asian and Western cuisine. I have to give them credit as they were still in setup stage, but did a great job. The only suggestion would be for the waitress to allow the customer an opportunity to eat, they were a bit on the keen side in accommodating you, at times it was a little too much eg. when coffee had spilled on the table or it got a bit messy they were there in a split second to clean. Overall, highly recommended hotel and would definitely return on our next visit!

My boyfriend and I had originally booked two nights here and ended up staying for a week. During our two-month Vietnam trip this hotel has by far been our favorite. After missing our flight to Phu Quoc (and subsequently our first night's stay) the owner gave us an extra day for free since we didn't use the room we had reserved on the first night. He also upgraded us to a nicer room so we could be "more comfortable" after a stressful few days of travel. This is true Vietnamese hospitality. Not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES the owner and his family invited us to join them for dinner, drinks and tons of laughs. Their family is so kind and welcoming that we felt like we were staying in a home rather than a hotel. As for the rooms everything is brand new (the hotel has only been open three months) and absolutely spotless. The beds are comfy and firm, air-con can get super cold, and the water is hot! We also rented a fantastic motorbike from them for the week. The surrounding area is great for travelers like us who like to get off the touristy path. Surrounding the hotel is a great local market, lots of tasty street food, and a minute motorbike ride into the main town/night market! We wish we could've stayed longer and will definitely return on our next trip to Phu Quoc!

Only modern style built Hotel on Phu Quoc Island, overlooking Long Beach and Dung Duong City from a huge terrace (180°). Difficult to find Hotel coming from the beach road (no name board, no light): First 200m of access road is a dangerous and steep dirt road, destroyed by overloaded, heavy construction trucks and machinery heading higher up the hill. During heavy rain, road is a torrent and though unpractical or too dangerous to use. No plans are available when this bit of stirred access road will be taken care of. The Hotel design is modern for PQC standards (absolutely my style!), however, staff has Zero English skills (lucky I'm able to converse a minimum in VNese), housekeeping is lazy and only does the strict minimum (only 6 rooms!): had to massively insist they broom my room, clean the toilet-bath tub, mirror and fix the toilet seat (4th day). Bedsheets weren't changed during my 7 day stay: again had to rise my voice to have it finally done (on my last day!). Night+day guard is sitting in the empty reception lounge and watches loud Van Damme Action movies until late night, while smoking fag after fag (nobody controls him = he's the "boss"). Needless to say I suffered sleepless nights due to noise and 2nd hand smoke. Finally caught-up with the owner to express my frustration......then things fell into a more or less decent line! He has no clue how to run this actually lovely property which was built and designed by a well known Saigon architect, yes, he drives the only Range Rover on the Island (practical for the dangerous access road), but again, that's not enough to manage a Hotel! Soon a pool will be built in the garden which is a brilliant idea, however, nobody will probably be able to maintain it, as the rest of the property! One early morning I woke-up suffocating: the guard burned the Hotel garbage (plastic, rubber, rubbish etc) just outside the Hotel fence under my window and glanced at me with a great smile on his face when I told him to

Very friendly place, both staff and other guests. Mix of 20 somethings and older people, with several families. Not luxurious, but it shouldn't be when your feet are in the sand all day. Definitely the best place on long beach. Beach front unit was worth the extra dong, but all the units are nice. Cocktails were pretty bad and expensive, but beer was cheap. Food was OK, nightly fish BBQ on the beach was fantastic. Buy your own wine at the little shop on the access road; they'll give you glasses and an ice bucket. Nothing compares to the magic of eating 3 meals a day with your feet in the sand just inches from the water. Pool was huge, warm, well chlorinated, with better cocktails and food delivered poolside. I wouldn't look anywhere else if I were going back, it's the flashpacker ideal. Young staff tries hard, but has no management -- you're on island time -- with that in mind service was pretty good.

Only open since Dec 2015, it's modern and comfortable. Good value for money on a rather expensive island. This hotel is not a resort, but it makes a good base to sample the night market restaurants and explore the beaches of Phu Quoc by motorbike. The staff are friendly and try to be heplful but most don't speak much English - I'm sure this has to do with the fact that everyone is fairly new on the job. Give it a couple of months and it'll be fine.

This hotel feels like brand new! Bathroom and room are basic and rather small, but more importantly they are clean and nice. AC, Wi-Fi and hot water works perfectly. They will encounter problem in the future with maintenance because the bathroom are so small, the wooden doors will probably start to swell, but as per January 2018 everything was new and nice. It's quite and still less than 1 minute from the night market. You can find cheaper motor bikes (we found for 150k opposite of Rainbow Divers) than at the hotel (180k), but the prices are OK if you don't want to search for other options. They are not good at English so don't expect to much if you have special requests. All in all, a really nice stay and we planned to stay one night but extended 5 more because it was so good value and also, it's like in the middle of the island so whatever you want to do, everything is less than 30 km away!

We are on the road in SEA for 3 month now and this was by far the best place we stayed. Totally new hotel with huge rooms and big balcony, great value for money (we booked the 3bed room with breakfast for 20usd/night). The breakfast was tasty, the reasturant is on the top floor with amazing view. Be careful not to leave anything out that might look like garbage for the cleaning staff as they were throwing things out (from the table, chair even a full plastic bag with my snorkeling stuff and a deck of cards) when cleaning the room. Other than that perfect stay and would highly recommend it. I would stay here again!

We were looking for a proper Hotel in Phu Quoc to both enjoy the beach and be centrally located for exploring the island. The Galaxy Hotel offered everything we were looking for and we have been fully satisfied. In the booking process we asked for an airport transfer service upon our arrival. However, the receptionist forgot to organise the driver - so it was not a perfect start so to speak. Truth be told, it is cheaper to get a taxi to the hotel and back to the airport (ca. 130,000 VND) than booking a driver. The hotel is quite new, the building itself can be recognised from a distance. Our room was in the sixth floor. Nice touch: the AC was running already, so we came into a cooled room. The bed was VERY comfortable. The bathroom was clean and was equipped with a shower you could close. A pool is located at the ground floor (depth: 1.2m), yet we recommend going the beach. The breakfast was acceptable. You could choose among a soup, fried eggs, switching local and western side dishes, and fruits. The staff was quick and helpful. The Hotel is located on the main road to the city centre (walking distance 10 min), with numerous restaurants. If you want to go to the beach, you have to walk 3 min to "Moon Resort". There you have access to their beach area which offers a bar and a small restaurant. The view and the mood is marvelous. Please note: During our stay (January 2016) there was heavy construction in the area going on. That means you hear the jackhammer from 07.30 am to 6.00 pm. Frankly, our sleep was not affected at all.

We stayed here 3 nights and were surprised! We expected nothing but everything was like on the pictures. The room had enough space and everything was clean! There is free water in the lobby and great staff! They helped us with booking the ferry and were always friendly! It was located good. Of course not directly on the beach but it was near nightmarket and long beach. If you want you can rent a Motorbike (not the best one but it was enough!) Thank you we had a good time!

We had a fantastic time, travelling through Cambodia we (7 Aussies) expected to go to the beaches at Sihanoukville but couldn't find any rooms online and then stumbled across Huu Le on Phu Quoc and booked immediately. Le sent me over 6 emails before getting to the hotel advising on transport to the island, ferry times, cost of island transit and how to get from the market to the hotel so we weren't wasting any time on New Years Eve. He even collected us from the drop point and escorted us to the hotel which we didn't expect. After checking into our two large rooms with aircon and fridges, he advised on a great place to eat dinner at the local market (best snapper) where we returned for the next three nights after we'd extended our stay. He also organized scooters for us to ride around the island and advised on the best beaches and sights to visit. While the hotel is in a great location and only a few minutes walk from the beach (great sunsets) the true value of Huu Le is the care and attention that Le gives to all of his customers and I highly recommend staying there
