Do not bother staying in the main building. We booked a room in main building, arrived and weren't impressed as it smelt strongly of cigarette, was up 3 flights of stairs as no lift and quite small for 3 people, so we upgraded to a bungalow. The bungalow was great,it was clean, comfortable, spacious with an excellent view to the waters' edge with lovely gardens all around. The beds were adequate but not super comfortable being foam. The hotel is dated, it is in a time warp and still stuck in the 1970's, the furnishings,curtains, restaurant, tableclothes etc. are still original from the 1970's but have been cleaned and maintained. If you look close you notice things like the tiles around the pool are faded and mouldy grout, in fact everything is faded but the pool is still nice for the kids and very usable. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants and a short walk to the main town and night markets. The service is great, only a few staff speak proper english so sometimes communicating needs was slightly strained, but they are efficient and friendly. The breakfasts are Vietnamese style with toast and fried eggs the only option for fussy Australian children such as mine! I recommend the Seafood Pancake for breakfast, very nice! The restaurant service was super quick always with a smile. The airport transfer service was great, we landed and were at the hotel within 20 minutes. The bungalow was clean, the staff efficient and friendly which is all you can ask of a 3 star accomodation. I would return here but only stay in a bungalow and perhaps bring my own pillow!

1. Value for money 9/10: cheaper than nearby. Newly opened about 3-4 months. Got free upgraded to better room without asking. Nice Breakfast buffet, inclusive for any type of rooms. 2. Location 9/10 : 1 min to beach. Still new so most of ppl still not know about it, even the locals. Amazing beach, massage right at the beach. 3. Cleeniness 10/10: nothing to complain about. New hotel, daily cleaning service. Rooms are still smell of wood and paint. 4. Staff: 10/10 extremely friendly and helpful. They did their best for any requirements. Free pickup from airport by the manager when asked for the hotel address details only. A Staff, I forgot his name, he discounted 1 day out of 4 days for scooter rental. 5. Facilities: as mentioned aboven, new hotel, clean room & bathroom, sauna, jacuzzi, relaxing Sunset restaurant at the rooftop & no no one using sunbathing chair, yes indeed beach just stone steps away :)

Having been to Phu Quoc several times, my wife and I have always walked along the beach and imagined ourselves staying here. We are so glad that we did as La Veranda service staff were extremely welcoming and helpful during our stay and the rooms were a pleasure to stay in with the comforable bed, beautiful bathroom, and calming scent that fills the air. The hotel is very well designed overall, with amazing food served at the restaurant. Although we do recommend the night market for the experience, we couldn't help but stray from our tight budget and eat at the restaurant more than we should have. The beach is very well maintained and actually we found this to be rare on the strip as other resorts/hotels' beaches were lacking chairs and strewn with debris and garbage. When the water was a bit rough, the hotel's pool was a good place to hang out, although during our stay, there were a bunch of rowdy kids which made it difficult to find some peace to enjoy our time lounging. Overall, we would highly recommend this resort if you're looking for a beautiful resort on Long Beach.

The place is fantastic - would rate it 4.8 stars. Bed is the best one we have seen in over 2 months, shared kitchen is a bonus (breakfast can now be ordered at an extra cost)..Bathroom has a rain shower stall (no wet floors) and a bathtub with a shower as well. Pham and his staff are wonderful - very very helpful. It is a little removed from the centre, (very quiet) so a motorbike or car is really neeeed - he does have new bicycles for use. 5 minute walk to the beach .Fresh fruit & veggie market is 50 meters away. We really enjoyed our week here - second time this year on Phu Quoc - can't really say enough good things about the place. Will DEFINATLEY STAY here again!

After nearly three weeks traveling the leanth and breadth of Vietnam Phuong Binh house was the iceing on the cake we felt safe and looked after.the girl behind the bar who also checked us in showed us our room booked taxis served us food and smiled all the time deserves a medal sorry I can't remember her name.the beach is spotless and there are plenty of cheaper and more expensive places to eat and drink very close by if you want a change but you will not beat the location of this wee hotel,watch the sun set as you eat your lovely freshly caught fish.we stayed 4 nights checked out on 2 December 2014 and it was just what the doc ordered.I would suggests go soon before the developers move in.

The hotel situated in the central area of Long Beach tourist area, and only 100 meters from the main road, and 50 meters from the Long Beach Sunset Bar. It is a 3 stars hotel but the staffs are friendly and polite. Breakfasts are included, and the choices are good. The hotel has a lovely sea view but unfortunately a new hotel in front blocked the central views. Room are clean with good air condition, tea and coffee making service and excellent wfi. The water pressure are low, and taking a shower is not a joyful experience as it should be. And the noise isolation are not too good either. The area is safe, there are many seafood and hotpot restaurants around, which full of locals, and the price is only half of those in the Night Market. Long Beach sunset is beautiful, and one evening of your stay you should definitely take a stroll along the coastline, it may be your best experience in Phu Quoc.

We booked this hotel for two nights. Cosy bed and it is pretty enough for two-pax stay. Bathroom is open area with natural sunlight shining through the plastic roof, which turns out quite wet if it rains. Motorbike rent at 150,000 dong per day. We had electricity cut-off after a thunderstorm at night, and the friendly security guard barely understood english. Eventually we managed to look for the fuse box and turn the electricity back on. Thanks for the stay!

Loved staying there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They picked us up at the airport with a sign of my name on it and the service was free. There's a short cut going to the beach, which was only a few minutes away. There weren't many choices for breakfast but good enough. They could also be quicker to put more food out. You can take a taxi to the night market. Walking distance to many nice restaurants and tour agency. There was a new year party. We played a game. The staff video recorded the game and emailed it to me!

I spent 3 nights at Halona hotel. The room I booked was clean, large and comfortable. The staffs here are nice, he showed me where and how I can do in Phu Quoc with the cheapest and best services I think. The location is near Dương Dong Market and it takes 5 minutes to get to Dinh Cau night market, pretty good location. By the ways, there's a grocery store next to this hotel, I can buy anything I need.

Only modern style built Hotel on Phu Quoc Island, overlooking Long Beach and Dung Duong City from a huge terrace (180°). Difficult to find Hotel coming from the beach road (no name board, no light): First 200m of access road is a dangerous and steep dirt road, destroyed by overloaded, heavy construction trucks and machinery heading higher up the hill. During heavy rain, road is a torrent and though unpractical or too dangerous to use. No plans are available when this bit of stirred access road will be taken care of. The Hotel design is modern for PQC standards (absolutely my style!), however, staff has Zero English skills (lucky I'm able to converse a minimum in VNese), housekeeping is lazy and only does the strict minimum (only 6 rooms!): had to massively insist they broom my room, clean the toilet-bath tub, mirror and fix the toilet seat (4th day). Bedsheets weren't changed during my 7 day stay: again had to rise my voice to have it finally done (on my last day!). Night+day guard is sitting in the empty reception lounge and watches loud Van Damme Action movies until late night, while smoking fag after fag (nobody controls him = he's the "boss"). Needless to say I suffered sleepless nights due to noise and 2nd hand smoke. Finally caught-up with the owner to express my frustration......then things fell into a more or less decent line! He has no clue how to run this actually lovely property which was built and designed by a well known Saigon architect, yes, he drives the only Range Rover on the Island (practical for the dangerous access road), but again, that's not enough to manage a Hotel! Soon a pool will be built in the garden which is a brilliant idea, however, nobody will probably be able to maintain it, as the rest of the property! One early morning I woke-up suffocating: the guard burned the Hotel garbage (plastic, rubber, rubbish etc) just outside the Hotel fence under my window and glanced at me with a great smile on his face when I told him to

1. The resort is much nicer than it is on the pictures, which is quite surprising to me. 2. The location is good, close to city center 3. The beach itself is clean, nice, not so deep, children can swim easily there 4. There is a restaurant which is run by foreigners; thus, the food provided is of high standard and close to the european taste. 5. There is also AromaSpa, the best place for massage in Phu Quoc, which locates inside the resort and looks directly to the beach. 6. There is a night bar, just a few steps on the right side of the resort, which has live music (foreign singers) 7. The resort provides all necessary add-in services which make your stay pleasurable. 8. The owner of this resort is also the owner of the biggest Phu Quoc tour company, thus making it simple for tourists who wants to book the tours within and outside Phu Quoc. 9. One of the cheapest resort on the Phu Quoc island as the overall accomodation price in Phu Quoc is very high. Probably, because this resort is newly run and do not advertise themselves so much.

Only open since Dec 2015, it's modern and comfortable. Good value for money on a rather expensive island. This hotel is not a resort, but it makes a good base to sample the night market restaurants and explore the beaches of Phu Quoc by motorbike. The staff are friendly and try to be heplful but most don't speak much English - I'm sure this has to do with the fact that everyone is fairly new on the job. Give it a couple of months and it'll be fine.

This hotel feels like brand new! Bathroom and room are basic and rather small, but more importantly they are clean and nice. AC, Wi-Fi and hot water works perfectly. They will encounter problem in the future with maintenance because the bathroom are so small, the wooden doors will probably start to swell, but as per January 2018 everything was new and nice. It's quite and still less than 1 minute from the night market. You can find cheaper motor bikes (we found for 150k opposite of Rainbow Divers) than at the hotel (180k), but the prices are OK if you don't want to search for other options. They are not good at English so don't expect to much if you have special requests. All in all, a really nice stay and we planned to stay one night but extended 5 more because it was so good value and also, it's like in the middle of the island so whatever you want to do, everything is less than 30 km away!

We are on the road in SEA for 3 month now and this was by far the best place we stayed. Totally new hotel with huge rooms and big balcony, great value for money (we booked the 3bed room with breakfast for 20usd/night). The breakfast was tasty, the reasturant is on the top floor with amazing view. Be careful not to leave anything out that might look like garbage for the cleaning staff as they were throwing things out (from the table, chair even a full plastic bag with my snorkeling stuff and a deck of cards) when cleaning the room. Other than that perfect stay and would highly recommend it. I would stay here again!

Stayed for two nights. Friendly speedy check in with polite knowledgeable staff. The Deluxe room I had was huge well aappointed with excellent wifi and good selection of tv channels. Located a short walk into the main town where there is a vast array of good Vietnamese food available. There is also the overpriced tourist seafood market which will bbq everything in sight. Breakfast was a buffet good coffee and selection of Vietnamese food. I was one of only two westerners at the hotel so why would they have western style buffet. If you want that stay at home. The service and comfort I experienced was way more than a two star hotel.

We had a fantastic time, travelling through Cambodia we (7 Aussies) expected to go to the beaches at Sihanoukville but couldn't find any rooms online and then stumbled across Huu Le on Phu Quoc and booked immediately. Le sent me over 6 emails before getting to the hotel advising on transport to the island, ferry times, cost of island transit and how to get from the market to the hotel so we weren't wasting any time on New Years Eve. He even collected us from the drop point and escorted us to the hotel which we didn't expect. After checking into our two large rooms with aircon and fridges, he advised on a great place to eat dinner at the local market (best snapper) where we returned for the next three nights after we'd extended our stay. He also organized scooters for us to ride around the island and advised on the best beaches and sights to visit. While the hotel is in a great location and only a few minutes walk from the beach (great sunsets) the true value of Huu Le is the care and attention that Le gives to all of his customers and I highly recommend staying there
