Hotel is equipped with a spa, sauna and steam room all free to use, free underground parking, great staff all through out the hotel. Nice clean rooms with high ceiling, bath, huge bed and even a small balcony. Skybar doesn't have a view but still a nice vibe to it, drinks are as fair priced as a bar at hotels can be. Extreme great value stay and to be honest I almost don't want others to know about this little gem!

This was a great stay. I was there for 6 days, and I can not say enough great things about this place. Anything I asked for, they gave me with a smile. The cafe in the lobby is filled with great, friendly people. The room was a bit small, but not an inconvenience! The location was walking distance from anything anyone would want to do in the city of Hsinchu. When asked if I recommend this hotel, I will infatically say, “Yes!!”

this hotel is very easy to locate. in front of the train station, cross 2 roads and walk towards the left of the "hu chen" river. a 8-storey building. secure and quiet. cater more for business stay. the staff there are fluent in japanese too. the hotel is surrounded by plenty of shops. the main road has many branches. to go to cheng huang temple, it takes about 10 mins walk. as there is no clear signs along the way, at anytime, you can hear people enquiring the direction to the temple. we leant this from a drink store which so far the clearest. walk out of the hotel, turn left and walk straight for about 10 mins. at hua nan bank, turn left and go straight. the temple is on the left. it would be good if the hotel staff can recommend more places of interest in hsinchu. we went to hsinchu for something else but were also looking for places to fill up our free times. at the end, besides walking around the city, we went to 2 places, a fish port and neiwan old street. not too bad, fulfilling and enjoyable. we travelled by bus, the local trains and taking taxi to cover more places. the taxi driver acted as tour guide for the one hour journey. by the way, you cannot flag taxi on the road, there are fixed stops.

Good point: 1. nice location for business and holiday. it is just 10 mins walk from Cheng Huang Temple and train station. 2. TAXI is easy to get and 20 mins trip to Hsinchu Science Park. 3. the breakfast is great at this price range. 4. staffs are very friendly. 5. daily newpaper is provided in morning. Bad point: 1.The room has some bad smell in the first day I stay, 2.The TV signals are not very good. a lot of channels are fully of noisy and blur pictures. TV programs shown in some local small shops are clearer than Hotel room TV.

I have stayed in the hotel for about 1 week. it is definately not the best area to stay in if you are a tourist, you should stay in city area. the hotel staff are friendly and helpful at the front desk, the rooms are clean and tidy. the breakfast has a lot of variety, however, i never had the chance to try it properly. morning taxi cues tend to be a bit long, but usually within 10 mins wait. there is a food court at the mall next to it, which is opened till 9 30 at night, so room service is not your only option if you ever worked till late. however except for the mall, there is nothing else within walking distance. As for "zheng wang miao" it is about 5 mins taxi ride from the hotel, it is a wonder street with lots of taiwan local food.

We booked this accomodation on the recommendation from a friend especially for the in-room karaoke system. When we arrived at wego, we were led to a glamorous private waiting area. The staff then showed us the various room types (rmb to tell the staff if you want a karaoke room) that was available for selection. We were delighted by the room facilities and it is so spacious (with 2 pax jacuzzi)!! The karaoke system is equipped with bose sound system which made the whole singing experience enjoyable. The buffet breakfast have a wide range of selection too! Will definitely recommend to drop by here for a night stay ◡̈

Highly recommended Xinshe Hotel ! They are friendly and helpful in locating our missing bag . The staff urgently helped us to call high speed rail to check the missing bag. The location is near to city and attractions. The room is clean,good sound insulation, multiple choices of buffet breakfast. A small special decorating our room with love flower ! No doubts Xinshe is the best solution for all your need!

The hotel is a bit old, but is still comfortable to stay. The breakfast is normal but: if you go to eat before 8:30 a.m., you will not have fry eggs because the kitchen staffs are busy; if you go to eat after 8:30 or 9 a.m., you will not get the food if the food has run out - it will not be re-filled. The hotel staffs are friendly, but you may not get good help because the city does not provide enough tourist information. One good thing about this hotel is that after about 5 minutes walk, you reach a SOGO mall. You can talk its shuttle bus to go to its other SOGO mall in the town. From there you can walk around for your sight seeings, and enjoy good food in town.

The staff of this hotel is AMAZING ! The best service I've experienced so far. The lobby staff always greet you with a smile. They anticipate your needs the minute you step into the lobby. There is this particular guy who is just superb. When it rained, and by the time I stepped out of the lobby elevator, he would rush out to the lobby front door to hand me an umbrella. When I return to the hotel, he would ensure to get the elevator. Their service seemed very Japanese style with great courtesy. I LOVE Lakeshore staff. I'm not sure how the manager trained the staff, but they are just so attentive to guest needs. I don't see such service even in W hotel or some of the Japanese hotels. Great job, Lakeshore !!

New hotel, very nice facilities, they even have steam sauna in each room's bathroom. Extremely polite and friendly staff, one staff will walk you to your room with no expectation of a tip; exceptionally spacious room with more wardrobes that you can fill up; good-size bathroom is well equipped with all the necessities. The only draw-back - it is not in the city centre, but a big supermarket (大润发) is within 5 mins walking distance. We had a last minute change of plan that required us to check-out earlier and the hotel was very gracious in cancelling the remaining days of stay and refunding the hotel charges.

as suggested by the title, the best thing about this hotel is location- it is located at the central city where the actions are. you can easily find tons of shops and restaurants to make the tour to satisfy your demand, at the same time, won't lose too much from your wallet. the hotel itself is above average with clean rooms. the bed could be better, as well as the massage tub, but other than that, i really enjoyed the japanese style room i got (maybe each room is different?). an interesting thing you'll spot when you entered the room, is that there are no real door for the bathroom, so it's great for couples in terms of romance, but it can generate second thoughts for friends, or even family sometimes. however, since i'm travelling with my gf, so all is good :)

big room, modern bathroom with 14-button toilet, large shower. modern and tasteful decoration. very friendly and helpful staff. amazing breakfast with a huge selection of chinese and english foods and bilingual labels. try the walnut waffles with maple syrup, pineapple and bacon. valet parking. newspaper on door. good toiletries. comfortable beds. floor-to-ceiling windows with an amazing view over the city. 4 stairs to the lobby, but there must be a lift because the luggage trolley gets there.

This hotel is cheap (even for a "superior double") and just a short walk from the train station. We arrived early and we not allowed to check in until 5 pm but the nice staff allowed us to leave our bags and let us have free coffee, which is available 24 hours in the lobby. When I say the staff were nice I mean they were totally ridiculously nice and helpful and friendly! They also provided us with a map and walking directions. The room décor is pretty hilarious: ours had a satin bed spread and a bizarre school bus theme mural. And the room came with freebies like--two condoms! This is totally a love motel, which should be pretty obvious because they offer 3 hour rest breaks (explaining the late check in time). But don't let that stop you, since the room itself is fine, with a decent bed and a hot shower. The towels weren't the newest and there were a few tumbleweeds of hair that on the floor that didn't come from our heads, but it wasn't too skanky all things considered. Anyway, they have free WiFi and breakfast was outstanding---there were so many options! Breakfast was like going to a buffet restaurant, so tasty and nutritious with lots of savory choices. Really quite a great value for the low price and convenient location. And hey, maybe you could get into the love motel mood, wink wink.

This hotel provides good value for the money, and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I did knowingly book a room with no windows, which can get claustrophobic after awhile. It is a short walk to the Hsinchu railway station; note that this is NOT the Hsinchu High Speed Train station, although you can travel between the two stations via a local line (Hsinchu <-> Liujia)

i stayed 2 nights in bin city hotel. the room was clean with comfortable bedding. breakfast every morning is a typical spread of chinese food - dumplings, congee, rice. hotel is located just a stone's throw away from the hsinchu train station. great location! within 5 minutes walk away are convenience shops, fastfood restaurants (kfc and mcdonald's), shopping malls (sogo and eslite)

We enjoyed the hotel, and especially its central location in Hsinchu. The hotel is pretty nice, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, included with our stay, was really great. Staff were very friendly overall. We did have one problem, which caused us a lot of annoyance: We were staying two nights, but after the first night, the staff forced us to change rooms. I'd previously checked with staff when we originally checked in, to make sure we had our room reserved for two nights, and they had assured us that we did. Staff apologized, but didn't help us, and we had to waste time packing up and moving to a different floor/room.

Upon check in, we did not like the room appointed and right away an upgrade is offered. Hotel does not show from the outside, on the rooms and services available. Excellent staff, very helpful, and the alternative room had all the requirements on offer as expected by the booking made. The room is spacious including some amazing amenities, including a wide selection of movies and others by the internal TV service. Nice Taiwanese buffet breakfast, with hot dishes changes daily. Highly recommended to book, as you are located in the midst of the old town down centre.

The location of the hotel is within walking distance to railway station as well as in the city commercial centre. The hotel staff is friendly and there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. There are a lot of shops around the hotel for special Taiwan drinks and non-alcoholic beverage, a good place to relax before returning to the hotel. Internet is available in the room via cable as well as clean water for drinking.
