This was a real surprise. Although it is in the business are of Halong City, this Hotel had exceptional customer service, awesome views both back over Halong Bay to the South and then back up Nth over the city, over the markets and all with a huge lime stone mountain literally 1km away which appeared to loom over you. Took our breath away. The most comfortable beds and feather pillows in all of Vietnam. so far. The top level wine bar is amazing at night time for the views alone. Breakfast was truly a huge banquet. The staff try very hard to assist with all issues.

This was a really good choice, not only for the high standard but because of its location in Halong City where few Western tourists make it. Most come direct from Hanoi to Halong Bay and return directly there and they miss a treat. The produce markets behind the hotel were quite special, particularly the sea food market with such a range. And, as there were not many tourists I felt people were interested to see me rather than just wanting to sell me souvenirs. I was on the ninth floor in a very comfortable room with great views over the famous bay and the city. And the food was excellent if a little expensive. Most of the guests were Vietnamese and perhaps a little noisy at breakfast but, again very friendly. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner at dinner, a charming lady, and she took the trouble to speak to me again after breakfast when I pointed out a couple of staff shortcomings due to lack of expirience of Western expectations eg not bringing the soup and main course together if it is Western food.

My family and I (five people) just completed a two night/three day trip on Viola Cruises in Bai Tu Long Bay for Christmas. The crew, the place and the experience were unforgettable. However, I was disappointed because Agoda advertised a queen size bed and it was not. Agoda has some ways to go with advertising professionally. When I followed up with Viola Cruises, they also confirmed that my queen size bed was 180 cm. In America, a queen size is about 193cm. If you book this, book with a different travel website so you are not disappointed with the bed width. My husband, 5-yo daughter and I ended up squeezing in a double (at best) and I did not rest well. I payed $100 more for this pleasure. Other than the truth in advertising, the overall experience was unforgettable. We had Lucky for Christmas and he was awesome. He is as good as they say. Also, Tuan was wonderful. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and even dropped us off at the Ha Long Bay bus station so we could get to Haiphong and on to Cat Bi airport. The rest of the crew was just as amazing. I would highly recommend a second night stay if you can. It is well worth it. Viola Cruises is thorough and professional. The cook and the staff prepared many delicious meals. Joseph on the Lemon Cruise was a fabulous host as well. The ship is beautiful and it has the historic Indochina junk nostalgia.

Couldn't say enough good things about this hotel. The room was amazing and clean. My boyfriend and I rented motobikes so getting places was not an issue. We had a room on the back side which had a view to the ocean and limestones. The staff was very nice and helpful. We have a translator app that became helpful. Remember you are in another country so to expect them to speak English is just plain ignorant. If your traveling be resourceful and don't rely on everyone to help you. I couldn't say enough good things about this hotel. We only booked our room for 2 days to give us time to look around and see if we found something we liked better but we got lucky and found the best place.

I had a great time! But no one in the hotel or surrounding area spoke any English. The website said they did. I found out info on tours and travel from a travel centre about 20 walk away and taxi drivers. The hotel is new ... so best to print out a map as people don't know it.. I recommend the hotel but if you speak English the staff cant help you. There are places to eat near bye.... only great local food.... . It is a 15 min drive from the Halong Bay boat tours...

We arrived at about 7pm from Hanoi and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was tiny but clean which was good. One lady staff speaks good English and we don't have any communication problem. The location was great along the main road along Hong Gai Ward Port just 5 mins walk to the bay area where you can have dinner and have some drinks along the bay walk. It's also near Vincom Mall for shopping and across is the wharf where you can rent a boat to roam around the bay. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
