Britannia Sachas Hotel

"I have stayed here many times and must say it is one of my favourite hotels to stay in, check in takes around a minute, It is a large hotel with easy lift access, a nice bar and pool tables. It has a gym and sauna which I don't tend to use but they are very cheap for guests. Perfect location for shopping or a 3 minute walk to the train station and main tram stops etc. I have never had a bad experience in my 5 or so stays here."

"Staff are great and super friendly. I love the informal check in atmosphere. The room is clean but a little small and cramp. I was on the 6th floor facing picadilly garden, nice view of Picadilly 1 but I was woken up a few times at night by the screeching sound of the buses and drunkards on the strest below. Overall stay is satisfactory for a short trip as the room is just too cramp! And it definitely doesn't look like the photos on Agoda when I was booking online. "

Britannia Manchester Hotel

"The hotel is really hard to locate (especially if they have the neon sign off), it gets lost in a myriad of signs for restaurants and bars that share the building. But when you finally get in, you are struck by its grandeur, it is clearly a hotel that was built to be a hotel. It's not a converted house or office block. There are lots of stairs and the lifts are rather small, but there are 2 which is just enough for people and their luggage. We were allowed to leave our bags there before check-in, the staff were very helpful in this matter. However, anything more and they charge - breakfast is £10 per person and if you want to use their LAN internet they ask for a refundable deposit of £100! Our room was a decent size, but it had a noticeable damp patch on the ceiling and holes in the bedding. The bathroom was of a decent size and stocked with a nice range of complimentary toiletries. I'd certainly use this hotel again, but book through Brittania's own site because you can get it cheaper than on here."

Staycity Aparthotels Manchester Piccadilly
Manchester City Center,Gay Village - View on map
"We love the location, which is right next to Piccadilly Station. Despite its busy location, the hotel is fairly quiet most of the time, except for a few squeaky trains pulling in/out of the station, and a random crew dismantling metal barricades and loading them onto a truck at 4am. For such a central location, the room rate is surprisingly competitive, especially for our group of 6 people. Our 2-room apartment comfortably fit all 6 of us with 2 twin rooms and a living room with 2 sofa beds. Our apartment has 2 toilets and a kitchen with washing machine, oven, stove, fridge and ample cutlery and utensils. We also appreciate the free (and fairly fast) wifi. The hotel has an on-site car-park which is expensive but is very handy as our group of 6 includes 4 seniors and many luggages. The hotel gets pretty busy during morning check-in and afternoon check-in. During these times, expect queues for the reception and for the lifts. "

"My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights for his birthday celebration and it had been an absolutely fantastic experience for us. We got a club apartment on top floor and we were very surprised by how big the size is. The room is very clean and plenty of Windows. The living room size is huge enough for me to do yoga every morning in front of the tv. The bathroom is clean with Loccitane toiletries. The bed is comfortable. Kitchen is quite well equipped so we actually cooked several meals there. They already placed milk, cereal, eggs and bread in the kitchen for us to consume. The apartment building is located only a few minutes away from the Piccadilly train station and walkable distance from china town and the city centre. Gay village is just 2 blocks away so we also walked around it. Overall this is an amazing experience for us. Will definitely come back again next time."

"Lovely clean hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Superb location for Manchester Pride......literally the Gay Village, us literally a 5 minute walk away. And a 2 minute walk to Piccadilly Square and all it's shops and restaurants. The hotel is right next door to a Whetherspoons, so we went there every morning for a very cheap but hearty breakfast. Will be using this hotel again as we often visit Manchester by train. The station is only a couple minutes walk from the hotel too."

"I stay for one week and very happy with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The staffs are also very helpful. I wanted to extend my stay for another two weeks, but the hotel was fully booked. The best location. A walk away from the Manchester Metropolitan City Univ, and Univ of Manchester is very close in 5 minutes walk distance. The Manchester Museum is a very close, and it's free. A convenient store is just right down at the corner, to get anything you need from mineral water, milk and snacks. Foods are very near: kebab, chinese foods, Archie's burger, Turkish cuisine, A walk away from the Corner House and Theatre at the Whitworth street. Those who travel by train from the Airport, the Oxford Railroad station is also in a 5 minutes walk distance. I will definitely return to this hotel when i visit Manchester again. "
