Much more luxurious than the other 4 star Birmingham hotels we've stayed in.

All that place is very modern and quiet, in nice neighbourhood, 15 minutes walk from the city centre (Bullring). Plenty of shops and cafes nearby. Vending machine in the lobby offers snacks and hot/cold drinks for a pound. The free Wifi is super fast and always works. The only small minus is that after long hot shower whole room gets really steamy. Also there is no place to put your things or bags but that is not really a big problem. It will definitely be my first choice for my next stay in Birmingham really soon!

A twenty minute walk from new street and the bull ring, its not in the best area of Birmingham so I would maybe recommend getting a taxi late at night if you're on your own but we managed alright on a Friday night.

My mother had to close the window due to the moaning and groaning, and then spent a sleepless night in a hot and sticky room with no air con. Luckily I had headphones with me. Of course it was not the fault of the hotel, and if it had continued the 2nd night we would have mentioned it to the staff at reception. The reception staff are great, very helpful, efficient, polite, great customer service. We didnt have breakfast in the hotel so cant comment on that. Will always check the price on this hotel when visiting Birmingham as it could not be better situated for a trip to Birmingham for those on public transport.

Travelling into Moor Street on the chiltern line from Stratford upon Avon the location of this hotel is perfect being next door to the station. It’s also right next to Selfridges and the Bull ring and now this is connected to the new street Grand central shopping centre with loads of shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is roomy, friendly well equipped and great value. We had a family impromptu night there for heating and showers when our boiler broke down. Fun was had by all four of us staying in the hotel and enjoying Birmingham. The hotel staff were so helpful finding rooms next door to each other so we could be close to our children. Thank you Clayton hotel team for helping us when we needed it! : ) lovely.

I was with my family ( all girls and a young child ) checking out from hotel heading to London. We have a few big luggages and shopping begs to carry and we were on our way to the nearest train station. The front desk staff saw us in this situation and in his first intention he showed us short cut by leading us to the back door. As such, we managed to get to the train on time once we reached train station. Or else, we will need to wait for the next train probably in 20 minutes to half an hour. By the time we reached London, it was before 11pm. I'm sure if this staff didn't show us the short cut, we will be late for the train, late to reach london, late to check in hotel in London. The staff were excellent. check in and check out were very fast, and the staff were knowledgable about the area when we wanted advice. Location is excellent - a short walk from Bull Ring shopping, the coach station, train station, and there were always available taxis in a car park next door (to the left as you exit the hotel). Breahfast was good and comprehensive, also started at 6.30am, which suited us. Altogether a good place to stay, and I would chose this hotel again for a Birmingham city centre stay.

Plenty of dedicated hotel guest car parking nearby and also much cheaper than the usual branded car parks (£7.50). This was a fabulous hotel. The room was crisp, clean, with aircon ! Yay ! Needed it on a really hot day ! The beds were comfy with a choice of firm or soft pillows. Shower was easy to control but could have done with a bit more power. We were offered a room on the top floor which was great. Absolutely no disturbance at any point. I booked and paid in full for a one night stay to attend my Daughter's graduation. On my way to Birmingham I received a phone call to say that the hotel through a "technical issue" was overbooked and they were moving me to an alternative outside the centre. To cut a long story straight through Agoda I found another room at an alternative hotel just down the road. So when the receptionist at the AC said there was no rooms available in Birmingham he obviously hadn't tried looking very hard.

We arrived at about 6.30 to check in, this was completed quickly. We were advised not to put out room card near our mobile, which we immediately forgot and then couldn't get in the lift. The location isn't the best in birmingham and it's a good 20 mins walk to broad street however we were going to the jam house which was literally around the corne so was ideal for us. We were advised to be up early if we didn't want to queue for the buffet breakfast. We went down for 8.40 till about 9.15 and there was no queue. There was plenty of choice if foods, juices and drinks. Check out wasn't till 12 so we could take time getting ready and then reception called us a taxi and advised us how much it should cost to get back to the station

I wanted somewhere to stay within walking distance of the Conservative party conference. Most places were full and after a couple of hours searching found the comfort inn which checked all the boxes. Its an older hotel but was very clean, the staff friendly and served an excellent breakfast.
