Very friendly staffs. Free shuttle every morning to my work place in SciencePark. Although it appears to be a high rise hotel with many floors, the reality is hotel rooms start on the 6th floor. It has one of the largest facility for banquet and corp events with multi-floors to host them. Also one of the most popular buffet available in Hsinchu. Expensive considering the local standard of living lower than in the US. Buffet has half price promotion between 2:30-4:30pm and in the weekends, you can see a long line of people waiting to get in around after 2pm. Mostly locals. Room floors require room key to access the elevator which is nice. Bathroom toilet uses the highest end Toto Neorist motion sensing fully automatic toilet and washlet which is really nice.

It was a very nice stay at Hsinchu Howard Johnson, went there for a conference and need to stay for 2 nights. The location is ideal as it is located near the train station and surrounded by many nice restaurant. The room itself is big and it had a bathtub with a TV infront though it a really old fashion one. They have big breakfast selection and I like the local porridge a lot.

We stayed 2 nights in Shin Yuan Park and we have enjoyed the hotel so much. The room is big, the bed is firm and the shower head water pressure is good. The breakfast spread is good. We love the bread and hot soymilk/coffee. The hotel is within walking distance to the popular night market and the surroundings also have a lot of eateries. The hotel is also closed to Hsinchu train station, about 5min walk. The bus stop to take bus 15 (Blue line) to go Nanliao fish market is just directly opposite the hotel, outside SOGO. Overall, we have enjoyed the stay and will come back again.

Good point: 1. nice location for business and holiday. it is just 10 mins walk from Cheng Huang Temple and train station. 2. TAXI is easy to get and 20 mins trip to Hsinchu Science Park. 3. the breakfast is great at this price range. 4. staffs are very friendly. 5. daily newpaper is provided in morning. Bad point: 1.The room has some bad smell in the first day I stay, 2.The TV signals are not very good. a lot of channels are fully of noisy and blur pictures. TV programs shown in some local small shops are clearer than Hotel room TV.

the location is nice, not very far away from hsinchu train station (5 mins walk) and the hotel also offers parking lots. the room is comfortable and i like the decoration (simple and cozy). i also went to the fitness room and use the sauna, steam room. having a relax night there. the most impressive part is its indoor swimming pool,it looks very nice! but very pity that i didn't bring my swimsuit.

Bed and linens were clean, comfortable and soft. (Though my bed was a little bit wiggly if you move too often/fast). The bathroom and shower were complete with basic toiletries. I love that they opted for shampoo and shower gel dispenser instead of the tubes (more eco-friendly). I hope they can find a more eco-friendly options for the other toiletries. They did housekeeping the next day after we check-in. They replaced the water bottle and the used towels. The whole room was very spacious as well as the bathroom and shower. The location is more or less 20mins from Hsinchu Station (TRA) and not the Hsinchu Train Station (THSR). (My bad that I got confused between the 2). If you like walking, then the distance would be bearable for you, plus you get to check out stores and restaurants nearby. Invest on English classes for the front desk staff please. Overall: GOOD

The staff of this hotel is AMAZING ! The best service I've experienced so far. The lobby staff always greet you with a smile. They anticipate your needs the minute you step into the lobby. There is this particular guy who is just superb. When it rained, and by the time I stepped out of the lobby elevator, he would rush out to the lobby front door to hand me an umbrella. When I return to the hotel, he would ensure to get the elevator. Their service seemed very Japanese style with great courtesy. I LOVE Lakeshore staff. I'm not sure how the manager trained the staff, but they are just so attentive to guest needs. I don't see such service even in W hotel or some of the Japanese hotels. Great job, Lakeshore !!

Even though this hotel is business hotel, the service is much kind and sweet. Especially you could enjoy the steam bath in the room for relaxation. Regarding the location, this hotel is just nearby the downtown, actually, just cross the railway. Within 5 min. you could arrive Hsinchu Station, Big City Mall, and East Gate Tower. Within 10 min, you could enter into Freeway No.1 and Sicence Industrial Park.

Had a great stay here. The rooms here are designed by theme, and I had the SE Asia theme. I like that they've made an effort to make the rooms special. The other plus is that the rooms are big, with a tub that's big enough for a person to enjoy. The location is superb and is walking distance to the Hsinchu train station. Staff are friendly and accommodated my request to shift my booking by a day because I was still travelling in the South. The only thing is, the hotel has 2 buildings across the street from each other, so it can be a little confusing. I initially checked in at the wrong one and had to cross the street, but it's not a big deal at all because it's a small street with little traffic.

Very pleased and satisfied overall. Super value for money if you book during Agoda sale. Room is very big, housekeeping service is excellent and staff are friendly and accommodating. Only downside is the buffet breakfast, if the spread was more then the hotel would score a 10/10. Would strongly recommend travellers going to Hsinchu to try this hotel, no regrets. Definitely my choice again if I were to go to Hsinchu.

Not suggesting to those with young children as the hotel have lots of couples staying temp for few hours in and out. Also the TV program have restricted movies that children might accidentally click onto it. Location wise is good and near to the train station about 3-4mins walk. East to find. Once you out from Hsinchu station, look toward your left side main street you will see multi parking lot and toward that direction. There is no actual night market around the area. Mostly big shopping complex. The nearest night market you need to take bus 15 to go out and only certain days are available.

i stayed 2 nights in bin city hotel. the room was clean with comfortable bedding. breakfast every morning is a typical spread of chinese food - dumplings, congee, rice. hotel is located just a stone's throw away from the hsinchu train station. great location! within 5 minutes walk away are convenience shops, fastfood restaurants (kfc and mcdonald's), shopping malls (sogo and eslite)

We enjoyed the hotel, and especially its central location in Hsinchu. The hotel is pretty nice, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, included with our stay, was really great. Staff were very friendly overall. We did have one problem, which caused us a lot of annoyance: We were staying two nights, but after the first night, the staff forced us to change rooms. I'd previously checked with staff when we originally checked in, to make sure we had our room reserved for two nights, and they had assured us that we did. Staff apologized, but didn't help us, and we had to waste time packing up and moving to a different floor/room.

it's a nice stay. the staff didn't really speak English but really friendly and helpful. the overall condition of the room is beyond the price expectation so it's good. the breakfast is okay for any traveler even if you don't like Chinese' food. the environment outside the hotel is also good. You can easily find a place to shop or buy food so you won't ever get starve. The location of the hotel is great because it has a close and easy access to Sogo department store, Hsinchu Train Station and the famous East Gate.

We reached Hsinchu late at night via train with our elderly parents. However, it was within minutes by foot when we reach the hotel from Hsinchu Train Station-excellent location. The triple room comes with a double bed and a single bed, a min-fridge, a TV and a 19gallons distilled water dispenser. It is a contrast to some other hotels where a common water dispenser is located on the corridor or maybe just offer a few bottles of water in the fridge. For an additional occupant where we paid NT$200, only a mattress was provided. To fill up our stomach at night, eateries with fabulous food was just round the corner of the street.
