Red Planet Tokyo Asakusa

"This hotel has a very good location. Very near to asakusa station if you took tsukuba express (just 2 stops from akihabara) and a few hundred meters to tokyo metro station. Very near to beautiful Senso-ji temple. And street shops near the temple. If you are searching for halal food, there is one halal restaurant, Naritaya Ramen near the Sensoji temple. The ramen and karagae (fried chicken) are the must try food! Very delicious! You should come early because it is full during lunch hour and you have to wait several minutes to get a seat. There is one halal sushi restaurant near the hotel too. And halal chicken kebab in front of the hotel (but the beef is not halal). The room is super clean and beautiful! I love the blind because it has picture of japan culture. Same goes to their toilet door, it has a skytree picture on it. The shampoo, conditioner and shower cream are all green tea base. Super love the smell! And the green tea provided in the room is the best! One thing this hotel lack is the microwave. It does not have a microwave, and the 7-11 near this hotel also does not have a microwave. I love to buy the fish that you can eat after heat from 7-11 and I couldn't do so during my stay here. But overall I will definitely stay again in this hotel. "

Asakusa Hotel Hatago
Asakusa,Kappabashi Street (Kappabashi Dogugai) - View on map
"We booked a 3 night stay at Asakusa Hotel Hatago for a last minute trip to Tokyo during the busiest times of the year. Needless to say, most hotels in our budget were already full and were grateful to get any room that wasn't outrageouly expensive. Needless to say, this caused us to think that for the last minute booking and price we paid that it would just simply be a place to sleep at night. We surprisingly were wrong! First of all, the location is excellent and is only a few minute walk from the subway, which we used to get everywhere we wanted to go. The Asakusa area of Tokyo definitely has enough to see and do for at least a whole day's worth of activities; it was nice to be within walking distance of so much. Another thing that we appreciated about the hotel was the friendly staff. The receptionist helped us on three different occasions to print out the English version of the subway route of where we wanted to go, when things were open, recommendations, etc. A bonus of this hotel was the view; they have a roof top deck that you can take amazing pictures of the river and Tokyo tower. As mentioned by other reviewers, the rooms are very small. But, they were very adequate for our family of 3 and still a bargain for the price we paid."

Onyado Nono Asakusa Hot Springs
Asakusa,Kappabashi Street (Kappabashi Dogugai) - View on map
"This is a very Japanese hotel in the very traditional Asakusa neighbourhood. We were fortunate for a great room view. Note that the room was enough for 2 people and a few luggage. The Onsen was the best part of the hotel as it opened all night and you can use the TV to know how busy it was. Note that the location is away from the night life so not much was going on after midnight. During the day, the neighbourhood was vibrant with Sensoji temple right next door and the Nakamise Shopping Street. Would definitely stay here again! "

Asakusa View Hotel

"Newly furbished and very clean. Sky Tree View is a bit of a letdown. We were on a low floor even though we booked the Sky Tree View. You see a lot more of the nearby buildings, even though Sky Tree is visible. Grossly different from the photo. Kappabashi Street is just round the corner and really worth a visit."

Via Inn Asakusa
Asakusa,Kappabashi Street (Kappabashi Dogugai) - View on map
"hotel's location is near two train station. nearest is the ginza line. There are also so many restaurants and fastfood near. There is a near ichiran (one of the famouse and best ramen house in japan). Sensoji temple is just at the back of the hotel. There is a train which will bring you to asakusa line right from narita station. No need to transfer line. Room is just a little bit smal but will do since most of the time we are out. Will definitely book at via inn when I return to tokyo. "
