Hotel is equipped with a spa, sauna and steam room all free to use, free underground parking, great staff all through out the hotel. Nice clean rooms with high ceiling, bath, huge bed and even a small balcony. Skybar doesn't have a view but still a nice vibe to it, drinks are as fair priced as a bar at hotels can be. Extreme great value stay and to be honest I almost don't want others to know about this little gem!

Very friendly staffs. Free shuttle every morning to my work place in SciencePark. Although it appears to be a high rise hotel with many floors, the reality is hotel rooms start on the 6th floor. It has one of the largest facility for banquet and corp events with multi-floors to host them. Also one of the most popular buffet available in Hsinchu. Expensive considering the local standard of living lower than in the US. Buffet has half price promotion between 2:30-4:30pm and in the weekends, you can see a long line of people waiting to get in around after 2pm. Mostly locals. Room floors require room key to access the elevator which is nice. Bathroom toilet uses the highest end Toto Neorist motion sensing fully automatic toilet and washlet which is really nice.

We have stayed few hotels in Hsinchu and Sol sits at top of my list in terms of location, room size and value for money. Breakfast was pretty average but again it is included in the price, even for the cheapest room (no window) which is great value for money if you are not too fussed about window. We stayed at Delux with a window which is pretty generous in sizes. Room services need some improvements though as every time you ask for something it takes quite some time (1-2 hour). Ambassador is much better in terms of room service however have to point it out Ambassador is a 5 star hotel so it is not apples with apples. Our advise is that if Ambassador is on special (110 AUD ish), go for Ambassador. If value for money and location are important, Sol will not disappoint.

Good location nearby night market and convenience stores. The reception was good but the room was kinda old. Parking facility including garage and outdoor parking lot were free. (Outdoor parking lot was your best choice in my personal opinion, reasons shown below) 1. Garage inside hotel building was mechanical parking system and often full. 2. The second parking garage was 5 minutes from hotel. It was in a small alley and lacking pest management. (There were insects when driving here so I turned to outdoor parking lot.) 3. Outdoor parking lot was 8 minutes from hotel and with sufficient space. You had to hand in your parking bill to the reception and the hotel would pay for it . Not the best choice for couple or family road trip but still a viable option for short-term business visit.

I have stayed in the hotel for about 1 week. it is definately not the best area to stay in if you are a tourist, you should stay in city area. the hotel staff are friendly and helpful at the front desk, the rooms are clean and tidy. the breakfast has a lot of variety, however, i never had the chance to try it properly. morning taxi cues tend to be a bit long, but usually within 10 mins wait. there is a food court at the mall next to it, which is opened till 9 30 at night, so room service is not your only option if you ever worked till late. however except for the mall, there is nothing else within walking distance. As for "zheng wang miao" it is about 5 mins taxi ride from the hotel, it is a wonder street with lots of taiwan local food.

We booked this accomodation on the recommendation from a friend especially for the in-room karaoke system. When we arrived at wego, we were led to a glamorous private waiting area. The staff then showed us the various room types (rmb to tell the staff if you want a karaoke room) that was available for selection. We were delighted by the room facilities and it is so spacious (with 2 pax jacuzzi)!! The karaoke system is equipped with bose sound system which made the whole singing experience enjoyable. The buffet breakfast have a wide range of selection too! Will definitely recommend to drop by here for a night stay ◡̈

Highly recommended Xinshe Hotel ! They are friendly and helpful in locating our missing bag . The staff urgently helped us to call high speed rail to check the missing bag. The location is near to city and attractions. The room is clean,good sound insulation, multiple choices of buffet breakfast. A small special decorating our room with love flower ! No doubts Xinshe is the best solution for all your need!

The staff of this hotel is AMAZING ! The best service I've experienced so far. The lobby staff always greet you with a smile. They anticipate your needs the minute you step into the lobby. There is this particular guy who is just superb. When it rained, and by the time I stepped out of the lobby elevator, he would rush out to the lobby front door to hand me an umbrella. When I return to the hotel, he would ensure to get the elevator. Their service seemed very Japanese style with great courtesy. I LOVE Lakeshore staff. I'm not sure how the manager trained the staff, but they are just so attentive to guest needs. I don't see such service even in W hotel or some of the Japanese hotels. Great job, Lakeshore !!

Even though this hotel is business hotel, the service is much kind and sweet. Especially you could enjoy the steam bath in the room for relaxation. Regarding the location, this hotel is just nearby the downtown, actually, just cross the railway. Within 5 min. you could arrive Hsinchu Station, Big City Mall, and East Gate Tower. Within 10 min, you could enter into Freeway No.1 and Sicence Industrial Park.

we upgrade to suit room. The room is big with Jaccuji. Walk 2min to riverside with a lot of fishes. 3min to 精品mall, nothing much to see, got few restaurant in 12&13floor. 5min to Sogo. and in front of the mall provide shuttle bus to Big City. The hotel breakfast is in another building , just across the road. we bring a 14mth toddle, hotel has provide baby bathtube. The staff is polite and nice. The male reception recomment a delicious restaurant to us. Everything just nice and perfect to staying here.

big room, modern bathroom with 14-button toilet, large shower. modern and tasteful decoration. very friendly and helpful staff. amazing breakfast with a huge selection of chinese and english foods and bilingual labels. try the walnut waffles with maple syrup, pineapple and bacon. valet parking. newspaper on door. good toiletries. comfortable beds. floor-to-ceiling windows with an amazing view over the city. 4 stairs to the lobby, but there must be a lift because the luggage trolley gets there.

This hotel is cheap (even for a "superior double") and just a short walk from the train station. We arrived early and we not allowed to check in until 5 pm but the nice staff allowed us to leave our bags and let us have free coffee, which is available 24 hours in the lobby. When I say the staff were nice I mean they were totally ridiculously nice and helpful and friendly! They also provided us with a map and walking directions. The room décor is pretty hilarious: ours had a satin bed spread and a bizarre school bus theme mural. And the room came with freebies like--two condoms! This is totally a love motel, which should be pretty obvious because they offer 3 hour rest breaks (explaining the late check in time). But don't let that stop you, since the room itself is fine, with a decent bed and a hot shower. The towels weren't the newest and there were a few tumbleweeds of hair that on the floor that didn't come from our heads, but it wasn't too skanky all things considered. Anyway, they have free WiFi and breakfast was outstanding---there were so many options! Breakfast was like going to a buffet restaurant, so tasty and nutritious with lots of savory choices. Really quite a great value for the low price and convenient location. And hey, maybe you could get into the love motel mood, wink wink.

This hotel provides good value for the money, and the front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I did knowingly book a room with no windows, which can get claustrophobic after awhile. It is a short walk to the Hsinchu railway station; note that this is NOT the Hsinchu High Speed Train station, although you can travel between the two stations via a local line (Hsinchu <-> Liujia)

Not suggesting to those with young children as the hotel have lots of couples staying temp for few hours in and out. Also the TV program have restricted movies that children might accidentally click onto it. Location wise is good and near to the train station about 3-4mins walk. East to find. Once you out from Hsinchu station, look toward your left side main street you will see multi parking lot and toward that direction. There is no actual night market around the area. Mostly big shopping complex. The nearest night market you need to take bus 15 to go out and only certain days are available.

The lady staff was very helpful and caring. We were travelling with an old folk and was given two rooms at different levels. She managed to changed them for us and asked if it was too noisy for us the next day as the rooms were just next to the breakfast area. The breakfast selection was good for us but would prefer cups to be provided for hot beverages instead of only paper cups. The rooms were very clean and linens and towels were changed everyday. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is very good value for money and very convenient.

We enjoyed the hotel, and especially its central location in Hsinchu. The hotel is pretty nice, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, included with our stay, was really great. Staff were very friendly overall. We did have one problem, which caused us a lot of annoyance: We were staying two nights, but after the first night, the staff forced us to change rooms. I'd previously checked with staff when we originally checked in, to make sure we had our room reserved for two nights, and they had assured us that we did. Staff apologized, but didn't help us, and we had to waste time packing up and moving to a different floor/room.

it's a nice stay. the staff didn't really speak English but really friendly and helpful. the overall condition of the room is beyond the price expectation so it's good. the breakfast is okay for any traveler even if you don't like Chinese' food. the environment outside the hotel is also good. You can easily find a place to shop or buy food so you won't ever get starve. The location of the hotel is great because it has a close and easy access to Sogo department store, Hsinchu Train Station and the famous East Gate.

Upon check in, we did not like the room appointed and right away an upgrade is offered. Hotel does not show from the outside, on the rooms and services available. Excellent staff, very helpful, and the alternative room had all the requirements on offer as expected by the booking made. The room is spacious including some amazing amenities, including a wide selection of movies and others by the internal TV service. Nice Taiwanese buffet breakfast, with hot dishes changes daily. Highly recommended to book, as you are located in the midst of the old town down centre.

This hotel may look like a love hotel according to a review but we don't run into any of those type of guests. The guests that we took breakfast with look pretty decent people. I noticed that condoms are provided in almost every hotel in Taiwan -so its a cultural thing and they are doing great to help reduce unwanted babies. This hotel is closed to the train station and a park with a stream running through it. Great location -within reach of bus stops, shops and food.

The room smelled mildewy and musty. The beds were a little hard, but ok. The bathroom was fine with quality working fixtures. The TV was an old style CRT, but it worked fine. Parking is a hassle because you have to drive in an elevator to get to and from a basement parking area. The area is small and can only accommodate about half a dozen cars. The breakfast that came with the room was ok, although I was worried about the expiry date of perishable foods like fresh butter and yogurt drinks which weren't really being kept cold before they were served.

1. Some noise outside since it was near also to a park. And the park has its rock and roll activity. 2. The WiFi sucks, its keep disconnecting. They should have tested each room for it. Its quite uncomfortable for a traveler especially if you don't have any 3g or 4g. 3. Not sure if they should clean the room every other day. In my room they didn't. I didn't bother to ask the help desk/customer desk. 4. I saw a lot of people check in/checkout for a date or something. I guess this is not a hotel but a motel. And i was bit shock there is a condom on it. I did not ask for it. I came to travel. 5. The TV/cable was great. 6. The food also sucks. Limited choices. And i am not sure that the previous one they prepared is the same food they cater.
