Valero Grand Suites by Swiss-Belhotel (Multi-Use Hotel and Staycation Allowed)

"Cons: it was New Year's Eve and the hotel was booked solid. At least one or maybe two elevators were not working, there was a long queue to go up and down. The elevator even skipped our floor on the way down and the stairwell was not available for guest use that day. Pros: We booked last minute but front desk was able to quickly check us in and find us a nice room on upper floor. We needed to find dinner as most placed were closed or closing for NYE. Reception staff found us a nice sushi place very nearby and called ahead to let them.know we were on our way. Hotel is very close to shopping centers and walking to many restaurants, minimart and 7/11. Directly across the street is Songkran Thai restaurant. The room was much more than we expected. Very clean with fridge, stove top, table and chairs and bug TV. Bathroom had shower and bathtub. Upon check out, the front desk found us a taxi right away. If the elevators were working that night, definitely would be all 5 stars!!"

Red Planet Manila Amorsolo - For Quarantine Stays

"Our expectations was shattered, literally, for it's price we kind of expected it just like the local hotels here in our place with the same cost. It was very clean, very safe, and best of all is it's proximity to the business centers and the likes. For us we had an appointment with an embassy which is just a walking distance from this hotel."

The Mini Suites - Eton Tower Makati

"The service was quick, warm, and professional. The room and entire hotel is very clean and well lighted. I love how the room has a huge window, although the room itself is quite small. Location is the best! Very close to offices, restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Only negative thing I can say is the walls are TOO THIN. Heard EVERYTHING the people next door were talking about and doing which made quite an uncomfortable stay. I would still book again because the location is the best for work considering the good price, but if I had another choice with better privacy and around the same price range, I think I’d rather book another hotel. Ramada Encore Makati

"At first I had reservations when I first booked my first night here. Usually, when I picked where to have my staycation I always looked at reviews first. However, they don't have reviews yet in Agoda or Traveloka or in their website. Then, I learned that it was newly built and just opened this month. I originally planned to stay for a night just to see if its really what the pictures show it is. And I can say that it exceeded my expectations. So i ended up extending my stay for another night. I can say that Everything is brand new. I love the ambience of the whole hotel itself. It got that zen vibe which is perfect for people who just want to relax and get a nice sleep. TV channels are limited but they have NETFLIX which is awesome. Breakfast is limited but its delicious and they can serve it to your room if you don't want to go down in the lobby to eat. Their lobby is so chick and very clean. I like the fresh indoor orchids they have in the lobby. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. I hope they continue their good service. The bathroom is very clean and towels are brand new. Although I hope they have hairdryer. Room is spacious and cool. Linens are clean and neat. Room ambience is good very zen type. I like the interior design although i hope they have a mini ref. The only downside I experienced was the hotel isn't completely finished yet. There is still construction going on at day time but the noise is bearable. Wifi connection in room is really fast. Well atleast at the time of my stay. I hope they will have a swimming pool soon. I think it will be a leverage against the 2 other Hotels in the area (Solace and Guijo) which I have been too. I would love to stay again and surely recommend to check this new hotel out. PS: Also, for you to check in, you just need PHP 1000 for deposit which is refundable after your stay. "

The Peninsula Manila
Makati,Mexican Embassy - View on map
"You can stay at the Shangri La and pay a lot more money, and you can enjoy the aging plumbing and lights in your room. Or you can stay at the Peninsula, and enjoy being treated as a visiting family member. The location is as good as you can have in Makati. The hotel is across the street from everything. The stock exchange, the beautiful park, all the malls, Glorietta, Greenbelt, Rustans, Landmark. The view of the Manila skyline is enough to keep you looking out the window in your room for a long time. The hotel and all facilities are immaculate. Not just clean. Spotless, polished, cared for with such pride. The housekeeping staff is friendly and efficient. If you want to go out for only a few minutes, they will have your room clean and cozy when you get back. The wonderful people on the staff make every effort to do their services on your schedule, so you can enjoy your time uninterrupted. The staff at the Peninsula is by far the best asset. Every staff member makes an obvious effort to make the guest feel welcomed, appreciated, and cared for during their stay at the Peninsula. All the facilities are wonderful. The food is some of the best you can find in Makati, and and will be pleasing to all palates, no matter where you come from. The Peninsula hotel is my home in Manila. I have stayed at most of the better hotels in Makati, all of which are very good. I must say though, that the Peninsula makes me feel like I am home, and so comfortable and relaxed. My fiance and I sat outside the driveway at the entrance at 4 am, and sang songs to each other. It was quiet, peaceful, and though there were many security guards close by, they left us alone and allowed us our romantic moments. Thank you Peninsula staff !! You're all the best and most professional in the business."

New World Makati Hotel
Makati,Mexican Embassy - View on map
"I highly recommend this hotel, as a hotel and restaurant managemnt graduate i had high expectations in regards to service, facility and comfort of the hotel. I booked my accomodation in new world hotel makati for 5 days hoping that i could do everything i need to do in my short stay in Philippines, still booked it coz i excpect that i could spoiled my self with extra care service, luxury facility and conviniece in location. They dont just give me what i want they actually exceed my expectaions of a good 5 star hotel. I enjoy the friendly, helpful and attentive staff of the hotel special mention to juaquin that help me with all my inquiry about my booking. People are very professional yet very approachable they alway greet you with smile. Breakfast at m2m cafe was fantastic. As a balikbayan i very much enjoy the food coz they have wide variety of filipino dishes that i cant get here in australia. Location wise i definitly love it. The hotel is just 5 mins walk to greenbelt where all the shopping malls, great restaurant and a bar for All party goers. rooms are excellent too. The only thing that i didnt enjoy was, when the time that im there they are renovating the holel, construction is everywhere and no free wi fi for non excecutive floors. Other than that my stay in this lovely hotel is very most pleasurable."

Makati Diamond Residences
Makati,Mexican Embassy - View on map
"Impeccable service, wonderful facilities, best location in Manila as it's a 5 minute walk to Makati City's Greenbelt mall and peripheral malls. Short distance to great restaurants. Drivers on demand. An absolute 5-star urban hotel. I stay there oftener business, and I now bring my finance' on most trips. in terms of convenience, size, and location - it could be the nicest hotel in Makati. Hotels like Shangri La, Peninsula, Raffles and others have gotten so crowded that you simply cannot comfortably enjoy the amenities or restaurant options. Diamond Residences has terrific restaurant and in-room dining, and the VIP amenities are outstanding: Executive Lounge is great for entertaining or winding down, The Whisky Bar is private and well appointed, the spa service is excellent. I recommend Diamond Residences to any traveler who wants a 5-star, safe, elegant experience - without hesitation!"

Jinjiang Inn - Makati
Makati,Mexican Embassy - View on map
"Who doesn't want a clean hotel? Jinjiang seems to outdo other hotels within it's star level. The rooms are quite spacious, ulnike other more expensive hotels, where the room feels kind of tight. And they're mindful of users with gadgets! They have more than enough outlets to plug their coffee maker in, 2 - 3 smart phones, a laptop, and 2 tablets, without having to unplug their TV and fridge! They have free wifi in their hotel, which has a quite strong signal also (a pleasant surprise!) They have one function room for business meetings. So if you plan to use this, book with them for this room early! They're not expensive. You might pay a little more than other hotels within their star range, but you get more for your money! They have a convenience store right beside their entrance, so if you arrive very late or early, and need more water than the 2 complimentary bottles provided in the room, you can just walk there in less than a minute and get your basic stuff. They're also near Greenbelt 3 shopping mall, Glorietta Mall, and SM Mall that you could walk there in 8 - 15 minutes. If you need a taxi or a car to get to farther venues, the staff will help you get one! The staff are very friendly and helpful also! Good hotel to choose from many!"

Citadines Salcedo Makati Apartments
Makati,Mexican Embassy - View on map
"I do not understand, I have submitted three reviews for this hotel. I checked my account through Agoda last night and it says that nothing was submitted. This is terrible I poured my heart and soul into those comments ranting and raving about how good this hotel is... Sigh, internet... Ok the hotel is one of the best! Brand new, Staff Awesome all around, great breakfasts in restaurant, rooms are wonderful, beds are the best! Ask for the feather pillows and you will never want to get up. (However that might not be the best if you have a business meeting the next day, or the staff come to clean the room after you should have checked out and you are still in bed.) There is a great grocery store just across the street and parking lot. With buying a few things, and the room comes complete with a small kitchen/cutlery/fridge etc you really do not need to go out. Though there are some restaurants in the area. Many looked good, though beyond our price range. We did find a "pub" type place within walking distance (15min). Greenbelt (Malls) are a short taxi ride. You can't go wrong with booking in at this place. Unless of course you have no money at all, then you probably would not be traveling... Booking through Agoda is still the best for finding great prices for staying there and check in is never an issue... in fact we have to stay in Manila again. Even though the price this round is not as good as I would like, I'm convincing myself to pay that little extra anyway. Enjoy!"

Eurotel Makati Hotel
Makati,Mexican Embassy - View on map
"My partner and I have never been to the philippenes and foolishly booked a cheap hostel in Malate last minute before landing in Manila. To our suprise our hostel was in the middle of a very scary area, we felt unsafe the whole time so decided to upgrade to a better area and better accomodation. We booked the Eurotel Makati and we were so happy. it is a very big hotel, with proper security. The staff were wonderful, they even printed out our ferry tickets free of charge. The room was stunning, the only downfall is when having a shower it completely soaked the bathroom floor as the flooring wasn't on much of an angle for it to drain quickly down the plug. But that was honestly the only downfall. I'm not sure if the hotel is good in terms of location as we did not explore at all during our stay. We did feel alot safer than what we did in Malate though. woukd definately stay here again."
