We enjoyed our stay in Candeo Osaka Namba hotel. Near to Dotombori and Shinsaibashi streets. Hotel has a sky spa with both indoor and outdoor onsen (each gender has separate sections). Rooms were spacious (we booked a Deluxe room with sofa bed) but the bathroom was a little small. It's quite a distance to walk to Shinsaibashi station (12mins) which is a central station but a short distance to Nipponbashi station (6mins) which was on a different line. Will stay here again!

Location : We were initially looking for hotels within the Namba area but were glad we chose this hotel instead. Though it's 2 direct subway stations away from Namba Station, it was of no hassle at all to us. In fact, we enjoyed the distance away from the lights, sounds & crowds of Namba. The hotel is on a direct line to Osaka Castle & Namba Station & Osaka Aquarium. It's easily accessible to everywhere else too. Only a short 5min walk to the hotel from "Honmachi Station" (the nearest exit no.14 is only accessible via stairs, so if you'll like to use the elevator, take exit 7). There's a 7-11 & Family Mart convenient store at Honmachi Station. The Room itself was pretty standard for Japanese business hotels. Compact (as with all Japanese hotel rooms). Staff speak fluent English. A bonus for this hotel is that you can borrow kimonos to wear from the hotel, and they have a weighing scale at the lobby that came really handy to weigh your bags before you head to the airport.

This is a good hotel for avid shoppers as it is situated in one of the side street off the Shinsaibashi shopping mall which can link all the way to Namba and the famous Dotonbori area. It is very new (just opened in April-18) so is very clean. The room is a bit small but still ok for a couple. Some of the staff can speak English, in particular the young gentleman (if he is on duty) speaks fluent English. The hotel provides a ‘Handy’ mobile phone for our use for free which is useful for navigation and more local info on places to visit and eat. The hotel has a luggage storage room where you can lock your luggages after check-out for last minute shoppingwhichbis most convenient!! One thing to note is do get the front desk’s help for the direct way to/from Shinsaibashi subway station as Shinsaibashi is an interchange station and there are many exits. Even Google map made us walk around Shinsaibashi a couple of circles before we found the hotel when we’d arrived.

We booked this hotel via Agoda after seeing the reviews and was very happy with what we got. We stayed for a total of 5 days a room for 2 with queen sized bed. It was a good deal for a Best Western branded hotel that had a good location and has all the basic things we needed. The hotel is very close to the subway which made it very convenient for us to travel around. The room was small but not too small to be uncomfortable. Showers were ok and our room even had a tub! There is free internet via LAN cable but no wifi, we did bring our own wifi router to solve the problem of unposted tweets during the entire trip. There were no english channels on TV so having internet helped. 7-Eleven and another convenience store is just across the hotel and had a wide assortment of meal items such as rice cakes and sushi. Its a great place for a quick breakfast before heading to the sites or for a midnight snack. At night, the Shinsaibashi shopping street is a fast 5min walk and a few more steps down will bring you to the heart of Namba area where the famous Glico Running Man neon billboards, great takoyaki / okonomiyaki and the H&M may be found. A walk in the main avenue will get you to the Apple store and designer shops. Shops close at around 9pm but the local food stalls would be open til late. This is definitely a good choice for tourists with the subway just nearby and lots of stuff to do at night. Great location, service and value for money, it would be nice if there are hotels like this in other countries as well!

The staff offered to park my luggage at the hotel before the time to check in at 3pm. So I manage to linger around Namba quite a while. Very near to convenient stores and it is only a distance away from Namba, Dotombori, and Shinsaibashi. Also near to Amerikamura where weekends are a cool street to walk in. The breakfast was nice. I went once, but didn't went again because I had to start my day way early. Breakfast was at 6am. (Yes. I did start my day at 5am for not clashing with the morning peak hours.) The hotel is very near a subway station. But further from JR station. So once you reach airport you can take JR trains to Namba. But the JR station to the subway station is a distance that you can walk underground. Basically, it is very accessible. Good place to go anywhere, regardless Kobe, Kyoto or Nara. Exit Namba Hips and you will need to spot Don Quijote, Penguin(Donpen). It will be located in the alley next to it. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay there. Thank you!!

Picked this hotel due to newly opened in Sep’17 and comepetitive rate. The hotel is tastefully decorated and it’s location is right next to the shopping street of Shinsaibashi. Besides, there are numerous restaurants and convenient stores nearby and it takes roughly 10-15mins walk to Nankai Namba station. The only downside is it’s limited (2) parking space which you will need to book in advance. Also, when we requested extra pillows for 3 consecutive nights, we were turned down due to insufficient pillows in stock. Other than that, the hotel is great and the staff can communicate in fluent Mandarin too. Will revisit this hotel when I travel to Osaka next time.

Location is excellent. Just about 7 minutes walk to namba and namba station. There is a direct train access to Kansai airport from nankai namba station in takashimaya mall. It is only about 890 yen to the airport and it takes about 45 minutes. Small room but perfect for just night use. Don't bring in big luggage. We had cabin size luggage and it was just right fit into the room. If you are looking for budget and centrally located place to stay only for the night, this is for you. There are a lot of dining choices around the neighborhood. Try 'eggs and things' just 30 m away from the hotel. Touted as Hawaii's best pancake. There is convenience store just 30m away from the hotel.

the hotel is very good in my opinion. although obviously the room is quite small, but it is expected if you stay in most of the hotels in japan. it is comfortable enough for me and my wife plus our 2-year old daughter. the staff also quite well versed in english which is very helpful for us. the location is amazing; walking distance to shinsaibashi, amerika-mura, namba and even orange street. those were the shopping spots we're aiming to go. the hotel also provides lan internet access. overall it is a wonderful experience. we're planning to stay in chisun hotel shinsaibashi again this september.

I was staying in a horrible Airbnb and was looking for last minute hotels around Namba/Shinsaibashi area. The closest and best alternative I had was this hotel, which was literally 5 steps away from Nipponbashi subway station. This hotel is located at Exit 4 of the Train station. Location is fantastic when taking train. It takes about 12 minutes to walk to Shinsabashi area, a straight road down to the bustling area. I was able to leave my luggage there prior to check-in and there was welcome drink free for all to refill and drink at the reception area. The room was small, albeit cozy. The pillows used were traditional japanese pillows with beads but had the sheets over it. Although, we could feel the springs of the bed, it was still comfortable! Toilet was clean and amenities provided were immaculate . Staff was very friendly and helpful. Greeting us every time we walked past the reception area. Highly recommend to all!

The hotel is located at the heart of Dotombori and the long shopping street! There is a 7/11 at the hotel’s groundfloor. It is a 10 minute walk to Namba Station from the hotel. You can take the ‘Rapit’ train from the airport(KIX) to Namba station. Choose the exit towards Takashimaya Dept Store,once out of Takashiyama on the street level,just walk all the way down towards Dotombori. You can easily walk with your luggage to the hotel. We had 3 double rooms on the 11th floor. Not much of a view on our side but it was fine! The rooms and bathroom are very clean.Toiletries are of good quality and complete! The rooms are quite spacious considering that hotels in Japan are known to be quite small. Coffee,tea, a hot water electric kettle, a small fridge, hairdryer,and iron were all handy in the room. We did not avail of their breakfast but my husband tried it and says it was good. There’s a variety of bacon,sausages,eggs,croissants,salad,fruits,etc... The customer service would have been excellent if they had more english speaking receptionists. Otherwise,the staff of Holiday Inn all had a pleasant attitude! I will definitely stay in this hotel again. The rooms are great,the hotel is very clean and modern,and the location and vibe is unbeatable!!! You will not regret booking here! Highly recommended!

The rooms were extremely pleasant. And this hotel is the first I've encountered in Japan that doesn't have a toilet and bathroom the size of a pillbox! There was a slight mix-up with the triple room I booked - they gave me a twin instead, but they managed to solve it quickly for me so that was nice. Cross Hotel is centrally located in the Namba district, and is a short walk from either the Shinsaibashi subway station on the Namba (Midosuji line) subway station. Transferring to USJ takes about half an hour, and Osaka castle can be reached in about 20 minutes. It's also just a couple of steps away from the massive Dotonburi shopping area - ask the front desk for a map. The one I received came with recommendations for nearby shopping districts and restaurants and it came in immensely useful when I was looking for something to eat! We took the airport limousine from the Namba OCAT terminal instead of the train because we didn't want to have to deal with the crowd. The bus terminal is on the second floor of the OCAT building though, and not all elevators/escalators serve the second floor. I found it tricky and had to ask a couple of locals before I found myself at the right place... (Two buses leaves for Kansai international airport hourly at XX:10, and XX:40.) Overall a great stay. It's a pity I only needed accommodation for a night.

Ibis Styles Osaka at Namba gives good value accommodation, is linked to a well stocked 7 Eleven, gives great access to Dotombori, located close to Nipponbori Den Den; the Akihabara of Osaka and short walking distance to Namba Station; linking subway to Osaka and practically anywhere else. Namba Station is also home station for Nankai line Rapiit to Kansai Airport. The location of this hotel gives perfect access to great shopping and great street food. Location is safe and strategic.

Near the Orange Street. Walking distance to Supreme, XLarge, Bape, WTAPS, Carhatt, and many other Hypebeast Brand. Walking distance to Shinsaibashi, Ichiran Ramen, and some other nearby tourist attractions. JRpass is a must if you are travelling to Osaka from Tokyo, BCOS it is the value of money Pass especially in Japan. You can use it to Kyoto, and Nara. There is a direct train to Nara from Osaka Namba. Osaka Namba also walking distance from this hotel. Will definitely stay here again. Many restaurants nearby the Hotel Area. Family Mart is just right behind the hotel. Very convenient and highly recommended!!! Room are big enough for a couple with a bathtub. Breakfast is also very nice. I saw many Korean, Malay, Thai and Philippines people staying in this hotel. So food should not be a concern. Happy staying!!!

This hotel is highly recommended for those don’t mind a smaller room but full with amenities includes free ramen and all sort of alcohol drinks from 2200-2300 eve night, massaging chair whole day, free wifi egg that you could bring out side, free bicycle rental, arrangement of luggage sending to the airport with fee, shower amenities, and etc. Apart from this, the hotel also have a daily activity that you can join. The hotel is 5 mins walk from Shinsaibashi exit 7 subway and the other subway on the blue line. This is good station as it is between Umeda station and Namba Station. Apart from this, you can walk on the Shinsaibashi shopping street to Namba Uncle Gliko and Big crab square. There is also a watching machine on the TOP so that you can do a self washing in the coin washing machine. If go back again, will highly consider stay at the same place.

Firstly, there are two New Osaka hotel - one in Shin-Osaka and one in Shinsaibashi. Both are VERY different. We checked into the wrong one at Shin-Osaka and it's very old and 6 subway stops from downtown area. So double check your booking and hotel location. The New Osaka Shinsaibashi branch itself is very conveniently located behind Hotel Nikko and only 5 mins walk to subway station and main street where you will find Gucci and Tiffany stores. The Shinsaibashi pedestrian mall is also 5 mins walk and you can spend a whole day walking along this mall and continue to the mega Namba shopping area and Namba underground mall area. Amenities are not bad, rooms are a bit small, room key is not card based, rather a physical key. Staff are very friendly. Nearby 5 mins walk is Starbucks for morning breakfast. Internet is free but only on LAN cables.

We really liked all the facilities at the hotel. Breakfast was very satisfying. The free coffee, soft drinks machine in the lobby is great. The rooms are very small but are clean, comfortable and have everything that one needs in a hotel. However, it is best to take small suitcases!!! High quality toiletries, little packets of cream, face masks is a sweet addition! Staff is extremely helpful, kind and speak good English. Location is superb! Near the subway station, Midosuji line. Namba and Dotombori are walking distance. Lots of shopping and eating options around.

First stay in Osaka and to be honest I had no idea where the central tourist spots in town were. I picked this hotel because the rooms looked a bit bigger and I liked the hotel's general style. Turns out the hotel was very well located in the centre of town, right in Shinsaibashi (shopping district), walking distance to Namba (or a single stop on the subway), and very easy to get to Osaka Castle. Breakfast buffet at this hotel was awesome, with a good food selection and great quality. Lots of fruit juices too (also good quality, not the cheap over sweet stuff). When I return to Osaka I will definitely be booking here again.

This hotel had recently opened so everything was still sparkly clean. I've never stayed at this chain before, but have stayed at many competitors such as APA and Mystays. And I gotta admit that this particular UNIZO location had the best facilities of them all. It could be due to the layout, but the room felt more spacious than expected, and there was no shortage of amenities readily available in room. I was ok with less or having to go to the front desk as is the case with other hotels. The keycard controlled elevators is a nice touch for security as the card determines which floors the elevator goes to and prevents wanderers. The staff was fantastic and very helpful explaining things to make sure the stay was enjoyable. The location is as good as it is going to get for the namba/shinsaibashi area with the street it is on being relatively quiet and close to the subway station. Definitely among the best value you can get in the area.

IMPORTANT: Go to exit 10 of Honmachi station instead of exit 12 if you come at WEEKDAYS. Exit 10 connects with Senba Shopping Building which is near to the hotel, opposite to exit 12, and with a LIFT, you will walk MUCH MUCH LESS staircases. But this doesn’t work if you come on Sundays and public holidays in Japan. I wouldn’t say the price of this hotel is good, but the equipment and the service are the best I’ve ever seen, and it’s new. The only thing you can complain is the check out time is a bit earlier (10am). I got a deal from Agoda so the price for me is reasonable. But still the hotel worths what it charges. It is near to the post office and convenient store, and easy to connect with Keihan and Hankyu Railway, if you plan to stay in Osaka while travelling to Kyoto, it is a good location.

The room rate is reasonable because it includes breakfast. The daily breakfast is also ok. The 7-11 convenience store is just beside the hotel, for other food options. The hotel is also beside a subway entry for the train. It is also about 600 to 800 meters to shinsaibashi-suji, a long stretch of shops where one could find H&M, uniqlo, sanrio, daiso, mcdonalds, etc.. The end of this stretch is the famous dotonbori where the popular Don Quijote and the Glico running man can be found. Some shops also offer different kitkat flavors and anello bags. Although the Anello building is just on the opposite side of the shinsaibashi-suji. Given the chance, I would still book at Sarasa. Plus, the staff are very polite and accommodating. Five stars for Sarasa Hotel Shinsaibashi!

We are a group of three visitors from Hong Kong travelling to Osaka in Mid May,2014, for nine nights. It's really hard to find out a specialised 3-people room in Osaka during this high season. Then, luckily we found Lions Rock through agoda. The first thing is that they offer a really nice late check-in service. Our flight arrived at Kansai Int'l Airport at 1a.m. then we arrived at the hotel at 2:30a.m. but the receptionists kindly welcomed us and quickly finished the check-in service. Though they do not have really high proficiency in English but their attitude was kind, sincere and they were very responsive and willing to help with anything for the check-in. I would also say the location was very accessible and convenient. It was located near Shinsaibashi Shopping Street, proximal to two subway stations (Yotsubashi Station and Shinsaibashi Station). It's also just a ten to fifteen minute walk to Namba Station, which can connect you to other cities in Kansai and the KIX airport. The nine-night stay was entirely pleasant with the efficient cleanup and very nice staff who would greet you whenever you bumped into them in corridors or inside the elevator. Some of you may fear that it's located in the precinct with strayers but I would say they will not cause any disturbance to you and the police station is also just a few streets from the hotel. It's entirely safe.

5 mins walk to Shinsaibashi subway station. Between the walk from the Hotel to the subway station, there is an outlet of the famous Ichiran Ramen, which open almost 24hours from 8am to 6am. Shinsaibashi suji shopping belt link all the way to Dotombori and Namba area. All by walking. Do note that the subway from Shinsaibashi to Namba though is a stop away, it's 180 yen. Not cheap. If you are with a family of 4, taking a taxi cost around the same price. Also, there are many Pubs, clubs besides the Hotel. Young couple would love to stay here. Hotel staffs are excellent, very friendly and helpful.

Pros: 1. Mid-way between two stations, Namba and Shimbashi 2. Lots of convenience stores nearby, Family Mart, Lawson and 7/11 3. Just a few blocks away from Osaka's prime tourist locations, such as Dotombori, Amerikamura and Shimbashi shopping district 4. Very friendly staff. 5. Has a huge bathroom and toilet area compared most hotels we stayed at in Japan, and the room was stylish as well. Cons: 1. There was something off about the calibration of the Bidet in our room, it aimed too high 2. The elevator always needs to stop at the second floor lobby, which is inconvenient if you're in a rush Overall: This hotel is very impressive with only a few quirks. I highly recommend staying at this hotel when you visit Osaka.

FIrst up, the staff do speak English, so that's not an issue. Next, its very near Minami and right beside Shinsaibashi, which are the main shopping and food district in Osaka. However, the hotel rooms are small, but that is to be expected in Japan, especially one at this price. Note, while they do offer breakfast, don't expect any other thing other than bread (which is really good) and coffee/tea/juices.
