We drop-off our baggages at Toyama Excel Hotel Tokyu a day earlier on our check-in date, reason being we have planned for a 2-day/1-nite stay at TOYOTA Shirakawa-Go Eco Insutitute. The hotel concerige is willing to keep our baggages till we return the next day. Hotel staff also gave us a directional map to the Toyota car rental pickup office and car parking area behind the hotel for our information. We check-in late upon return and was glad that our baggages have been sent to our respective rooms prior to our check-in. This hotel has a chargeable porter service to transfer our baggages to Hotel Tateyama which is an excellent choice as we have older folks in the group. In addition, the hotel also pick up the car parking fee tab for stay-in guests. This information was given to us by the hotel counter staff when we informed them that we have parked our rental car at their designated carpark. In addition, the Dentetsu Toyama Station is a 5-min walk from the hotel which make our departure for the Alpine Alps a breeze. Overall, we had an excellent stay at the hotel and would surely recommend this hotel to travelers who plan Mount Tateyama as their next destination from Toyama.

Oyado Nono is one of the greatest 3+ Stars Japanese hotels I stayed in and I loved everything about it. - The personnel is welcoming, adorable and so well dressed. :) - The modern Japanese style room is ingenious in terms of design. You can only feel at peace inside and the private onsen in the bathroom is such a treasure of relaxation. There is also free water, tea and coffee. The rooms are cleaned every mornings. - The free noodles serving at night was a surprising point. You know you stay at the right place when people don't let you starve alone. :) - The hotel location is next to everything in the city center : Restaurants, Museums, Shopping Arcades, Movie Theater, Toyama Station and Toyama Castle of course. I will book here everytime I'll go to Toyama city.

I have nothing to criticize about this hotel Value for money: It was very affordable for a place that beautiful. It was very affordable especially considering that I went there during golden week. Location: perfectly right in front of Toyama station Cleanliness: Super clean. Everything was immaculate. The bathroom and the bedroom were perfectly clean. Staff: The staff was very helpful. I booked a room for one and after my friend was not satisfied with her accommodation, asked that I stayed with her for just a little addition to the money I had already paid and the hotel allowed us. They gave us an extra blanket and the double bed in the bedroom was big enough for the two of us. Thank you. Facilities: Free breakfast in the morning was great!!! I had everything I needed. I have nothing to complain about. I would definitely stay again if I had to visit Toyama or stay at other locations of this hotel chain. I would definitely recommend this place. The hotel location is great (just by the station). Rooms are modern and clean, and yes they are small, but just as much as in every other hotel I've stayed at in Japan, except the extremely expensive ones. What blew me away was the awesome service. Just one example, out of the several I could mention: we were having trouble getting our tickets Ghibli Museum (you can buy them at a machine in Lawson stores, but it's only in Japanese), so we asked at the front desk whether the hotel could get them for us; they couldn't, but they sent one of their workers with us to a Lawson, to operate the Japanese-only machine for us!!!

The hotel is located about 15 mins walk from a station but if you don't want to walk, city tram is right next door. It was fun experience. This place is 2-3 mins walk from toyama castle park, river ferry ride(must try), glass museum. We stayed there for 4 nights during our holiday and it was super comfortable. Recommend breakfast and dinner in the restaurant at 1st floor. Awesome awesome. Pillow could improve a bit :-)

Need to take a bus or tram from Toyama station, walking will take about 15 to 20 mins to reach the hotel. In the morning, it has a shuttle bus to bring guests to Toyama station but the shuttle bus is super small as it can only accommodate 9 people. Once it is full, will have to wait for the next shuttle, shuttle interval is half an hour. We are rejected for the shuttle as there was already 8 guests for the bus. It is a first come first serve basis. Will suggest to have a bigger shuttle. Other than that, the hotel was clean, service and facilities were great.. There's free soba provided at night too!

This hotel is quite far from Toyama Station but it is very easy to reach if you take a tram. There is a tram station just in front of the hotel. We book a deluxe room and we found that the room is big and the bed is very comfortable. The staff are all very warm and nice. When we reach the hotel, we are very tired and exhausted and one of the staff notice it and she even let us check in earlier without any charges. Really appreciate it. Will recommend to my friend to stay in this hotel. Thanks to the warm welcome from the staff.

Though the hotel is not very close to the station, the road to it was easy to walk even with a piece of 20-kilo luggage. Love the breakfast here, we were all amazed by the choices included there, and enjoyed the great food as perfect start for our mountain trip. The tatami room was very comfortable. We all enjoyed the smell of natural tatami, and agreed that it might probably be one of the best we booked for the trip.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location is okay for this hotel if you have a car. However, the room is not very clean but acceptable. Staff is nice and polite. The 2 things we like about this hotel is firstly, they provide customers with FREE parking space, and secondly, they let customers to enjoy their onsen for FREE. We really like this kind of arrangement. Overall, we will say this hotel is worth the money.

We had a corner room which was small but very well planned so that it made for an enjoyable stay.The two single beds were very comfortable and the room very quiet. There was a desk and two chairs and the wi-fi worked well .....unlike the refrigerator which did not. On the positive side .....both windows could be opened which was good as it was quite warm during our stay and we like to sleep without aircon when possible. Breakfast could be a problem if you do not like Japanese food as limited to croisants,toast and jam. I had curry rice one morning for breakfast ...... and enjoyed it! All the staff we had dealings with were very attentive and helpful, even with limited English.

When I booked the room rate was KRW 130,075 (2/16). Then I was paid KRW 140,123 with credit card (4/11). It was strange that I checked my booking details on Agoda so it was also KRW 140,123. The exchange rate has not changed greatly at that times, so I could not understand it. When I arrived at the hotel, they offered breakfast which I did not apply. Probably it seemed to include breakfast charges. It was an unexpected breakfast, but it was good to have a good meal.

Hotel was situated a good ~20 mins walk from station though never tried walking there. To get there, we hopped on its loop tram ride there, paying Yen$200 per adult. Hotel was near the Toyama Castle and if you walked a few streets behind the building, there are shopping & eating areas nearby. The Sleeping program offered there was good, have never experienced in other Japanese hotels i stayed in. Room size was acceptable and services there were not bad. Hotel provided free mineral water bottles during 2 nights there. Customer service was good provided by the guy who attended to our luggage, he was very friendly and amicable while trying to advise us on our queries and gave some suggestions on where to visit which made our stay in the hotel very enjoyable and pleasant.

Amazing amazing hotel! Nestled next to the Jinzū River, the lobby and room commanded magnificent views! Excruciatingly beautiful hotel, great pains were obviously taken in terms of design, layout and decor! Luxurious artworks abound! Cavernous lobby with sky high floor to ceiling Windows! The room was incredible, a mix of traditional Japanese, Western and Scandinavian sensibilities! The food was sumptuous and eye catching! Highly recommended hotel! Truly unique in every aspect! Would return in a heartbeat of given the chance!! Staff were just a joy!!

Best ever stay! Spacious room, free drinks, great set dinner by their master chef. The only hotels which allow early check in , heartened after a long journey! Staff was extremely friendly compared to hotels in tokyo where staff seems avoid serving English speaking customers but kind to own people. Picking and sending us to the station by hotel staff. 1st time to experience snowing during our November trip.
