Friendly helpful staff that can speak multiple languages. Always happy to help. Luggage room that can be freely used when checking in and out. Sky Spa is a must do, very nice views of Osaka while unwinding in a heated bath. Room we hired was twice the size of a similarly priced room in Shinjuku, was good to be able to open all our suitcases at once! Had a couch! Location is nice and close to Dontonbori and all associated shopping like Den Den and Shinsaibashi. Only thing that might be an issue is it's a 10 minute walk from the closest subway station (Shinsaibashi) and not near any JR stations for those using a pass (JR isn't the best option in Osaka anyway). When leaving we caught a taxi from the tank just half a block down to Tennoji station which only cost 1100 Yen. Would recommended this if not forwarding luggage when checking in and out. Thanks for looking after us!

The staff at the hotel are attentive and speak good English. There’s always a staff ready to help guests at the reception. Staff will greet you when coming and leaving the hotel everyday. Please be aware a bottle of water is 100yen. Room is on the small side (as I travelled solo), but got everything like TV with local & satellite cable and mirroring, fridge, pajama, all bathroom amenities, bed light, charging outlets etc. Breakfast is exceptional. Japanese buffet style (udon, dashitsuke, tamagoyaki etc) but also got western elements (great coffee, salad bar, juice, pastries etc). The breakfast is easily the main reason to book for many occupants! Well worth 1,300 yen. Closest subway station Hommachi is about 6-7 minutes walk from hotel. The area has many small restaurants and the closest konbini is at the subway station. One negative is the cleaning staff are not very professional. A few came into the lift I was in and pressed all the floors they needed to stop at..

Overall look of the hotel from the inside to the outside is beautiful. Hotel is well kept and neat. It had the perfect location: we had access to both the high end shops and mall (Daimaru), but also very close to Shinsaibashi and Dotonburi. We got to enjoy the view of Midosuji Street's winter illumination both from our hotel room and every time we cross the street. Hotel is very accessible. It has a direct access to the subway station, so we didn't have to go out the streets to ride the train. We were also pleasantly surprised that the Kansai airport limousine bus directly stops over the hotel driveway at a certain schedule.You just have to ask the hotel front desk of the bus schedule and book in advance (at least the day before check-out/departure). I also wish to applaud their staff for the excellent service. Very courteous, accommodating and helpful. Bravo! We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Osaka 😊

This is a good hotel for avid shoppers as it is situated in one of the side street off the Shinsaibashi shopping mall which can link all the way to Namba and the famous Dotonbori area. It is very new (just opened in April-18) so is very clean. The room is a bit small but still ok for a couple. Some of the staff can speak English, in particular the young gentleman (if he is on duty) speaks fluent English. The hotel provides a ‘Handy’ mobile phone for our use for free which is useful for navigation and more local info on places to visit and eat. The hotel has a luggage storage room where you can lock your luggages after check-out for last minute shoppingwhichbis most convenient!! One thing to note is do get the front desk’s help for the direct way to/from Shinsaibashi subway station as Shinsaibashi is an interchange station and there are many exits. Even Google map made us walk around Shinsaibashi a couple of circles before we found the hotel when we’d arrived.

Location was fantastic with eateries and family mart located right outside the hotel. Less than 5 mins walk to dontoburi and shinsaibashi. If you like walking, takes about 20mins to walk to kuromon market only. Walking time of less than 10mins to namba and namb osaka station. Hotel provides a wide range of beverages complimentary. Size of room was bigger than I expected. Mattress' firmness was jus right - had a good night sleep. What I loved most is the shower room! The shower water pressure was great - best hotel so far. Staff are polite and can communicate in English. Improvements - 1. cooked breakfast dishes tend to be salty. It would be nice to offer udon soup for breakfast. 2. Provide english TV channels. Only japanese available. Overall, I would stay in this hotel again!

The staff offered to park my luggage at the hotel before the time to check in at 3pm. So I manage to linger around Namba quite a while. Very near to convenient stores and it is only a distance away from Namba, Dotombori, and Shinsaibashi. Also near to Amerikamura where weekends are a cool street to walk in. The breakfast was nice. I went once, but didn't went again because I had to start my day way early. Breakfast was at 6am. (Yes. I did start my day at 5am for not clashing with the morning peak hours.) The hotel is very near a subway station. But further from JR station. So once you reach airport you can take JR trains to Namba. But the JR station to the subway station is a distance that you can walk underground. Basically, it is very accessible. Good place to go anywhere, regardless Kobe, Kyoto or Nara. Exit Namba Hips and you will need to spot Don Quijote, Penguin(Donpen). It will be located in the alley next to it. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay there. Thank you!!

I have to say that this would be one of my favorite hotels in japan for it's price! The rooms are relatively bigger than some of the other hotels i've stayed in. The staff speak decent english, and best of all, the location was perfect. about a 30 second walk (1 small block) away from the shinsaibashi subway station and pretty much near Amerika-mura! Dotonbori is about a 10 - 15 minute walk away, which means it's close by! If you're looking at staying in Osaka, i'd say this hotel is definitely one to pick up and stay in!!! A cafe/bar (planet 3rd) is attached to this hotel and is right outside/infront of the complex, which means easy options for coffee or breakfast.

Location 1. The hotel is located within 1 minute walk to the Nagahoribashi subway station. 2. The convenient store is just a few doors away from the hotel. 3. There are also cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Room 1. We booked a Standard Semi Double A room, it is very compact but clean. 2. The bathroom although very small, but it is very clean and with good water pressure for shower. Staff 1. Hotel staffs are helpful and able to communicate in English.

Excellent location! Right beside exit 4 of Nagahoribashi subway station. It helped a lot especially on those days that you just really need to get off your feet after walking all day. Yoshinoya is also right across the hotel, we ate most of our diners there when we were too tired of walking. There's also a Lawson and 7/11 near the hotel (told you the location was excellent!). Shinsaibashi shopping is also a few blocks away. Dotombori is just 1 subway stop away too. The room was extremely small but bearable, you'll only need it for sleeping anyway. We never had to open the TV as we were always out and came back tired. While the rooms and the bathrooms were clean, the lobby CR needs some more cleaning. Loved the wash cloth and also the sleepware they gave us to use! While a bit of a hassle, the good outweighs the bad as we needed to always leave our room key with the lobby everytime we needed to go out.

2nd time I stayed in this hotel. The location is everything you need, close to the Subway station you need to travel inside the Osaka city, or the train to airport, Kobe and Nara. Again, plenty of the nice little restaurants and bars near the hotel area. I will definitely choose this hotel again. PS. The bed of semi-double room is pretty small, I don't recommend you share your bed if you're big. I'm only a tiny size girl so it's okay for me tho.

I booked this hotel after reading a fellow travellers review on this site. We had a fantastic stay for 4 nights, and i really could not fault anything. The hotel is close to Nankai Namba railway station, where we caught the Rapit Express train straight from Kansai International Airport. We arrived at about 9pm, the streets were still busy, and although we asked for directions, we probably would have found the hotel with the map we had. The hotel foyer was modern, large and sleek. The reception staff were attentive and helpful. We had a standard room and found it to be great. Spacious, modern, great bathroom with huge mirror and excellent water pressure. Unfortunatley no english tv channels. The bed was firm but not uncomfortable, the pillows and linen were superb. The room was completely soundproof, which was good as the hotel is on a busy street that does not sleep! Breakfast each morning was nice, the range wasnt huge but it was still fresh and yummy. The location of this hotel is hard to beat, you basically walk out, turn right and you are in the middle of the food and shopping mecca of Osaka. Shinshaibashi, Dotonbori, Train and Subway stations are on your doorstep.The hotel is on a street with many nightclubs and bars, however we felt completely safe at all times of the day and night. We found the hotel to represent excellent value, it really exceeded our expectations and we will recommend this hotel without hesitation to fellow travellers.

The rooms were extremely pleasant. And this hotel is the first I've encountered in Japan that doesn't have a toilet and bathroom the size of a pillbox! There was a slight mix-up with the triple room I booked - they gave me a twin instead, but they managed to solve it quickly for me so that was nice. Cross Hotel is centrally located in the Namba district, and is a short walk from either the Shinsaibashi subway station on the Namba (Midosuji line) subway station. Transferring to USJ takes about half an hour, and Osaka castle can be reached in about 20 minutes. It's also just a couple of steps away from the massive Dotonburi shopping area - ask the front desk for a map. The one I received came with recommendations for nearby shopping districts and restaurants and it came in immensely useful when I was looking for something to eat! We took the airport limousine from the Namba OCAT terminal instead of the train because we didn't want to have to deal with the crowd. The bus terminal is on the second floor of the OCAT building though, and not all elevators/escalators serve the second floor. I found it tricky and had to ask a couple of locals before I found myself at the right place... (Two buses leaves for Kansai international airport hourly at XX:10, and XX:40.) Overall a great stay. It's a pity I only needed accommodation for a night.

This hotel is just right next to the Nagahoribashi Station exit. An underground Mall Crysta Nagahoribashi connects it to the Shinsaibashi Station where you would most likely get off if coming from Shin-Osaka Station (like we did). This makes it a very convenient jump off point to interesting places in Osaka. Dotonburi itself is a leisurely 15-20 min walk. The hotel is quite new and pretty modern. Breakfast buffet is fine as they have japanese and some western fare in the menu. Staff can speak some English but having a translation app in your mobile would not hurt. Size of the room is as advertised, meaning it is small. Toilet is as big as what can fit in that space. Could be challenging to use by someone that is tall or on the plus-size. But heated toilet seat is a plus. They have a tiny open closet where you can hang 4-5 items and enough space underneath for a large wheeled luggage. FamilyMart is just at the back of the hotel for that quick bites and fixes.

Location is very convenient! Adidas store is just opposite the hotel. Walk across the street you will find starbucks, mos burger and japanese restaurants. Lawson store is just beside the hotel. The hotel gives free drinks all day and free ramen and beer for guest everynight from 10 - 11 pm. The hotel is really new. The staffs are really friendly and can communicate in english. It is located near two subway stations; Shinsaibashi station (exit 7) within 400 meters walk and Yotsubashi station. You can lightly walk to Dotonbori and Namba area within 10 mins. I would recommend everyone to stay in this hotel.

Firstly, there are two New Osaka hotel - one in Shin-Osaka and one in Shinsaibashi. Both are VERY different. We checked into the wrong one at Shin-Osaka and it's very old and 6 subway stops from downtown area. So double check your booking and hotel location. The New Osaka Shinsaibashi branch itself is very conveniently located behind Hotel Nikko and only 5 mins walk to subway station and main street where you will find Gucci and Tiffany stores. The Shinsaibashi pedestrian mall is also 5 mins walk and you can spend a whole day walking along this mall and continue to the mega Namba shopping area and Namba underground mall area. Amenities are not bad, rooms are a bit small, room key is not card based, rather a physical key. Staff are very friendly. Nearby 5 mins walk is Starbucks for morning breakfast. Internet is free but only on LAN cables.

Hotel is located between Shinsaibashi Station and Nahaboribashi Station, both around 5 minutes on foot. Entrance right outside the hotel leads to you Crysta City, an underground shopping arcade which also leads you to both subway stations, so even a rainy day will not stop you from going anywhere. 3 minutes walk to Shinsaibashi Shopping Arcade, and about 10 minutes walk to Nihonbashi (if you don't want to take the subway for ¥120). Hotel is fairly new and very clean. Majority of the staff there speaks English so communication is not an issue. The included breakfast buffet is great although they serve almost the same food items even morning. As we all know, hotel rooms in Japan is usually small so don't expect u can lay your suitcases flat on the floor. Bathroom amentity uses Pola products, a well known brand in Japan. There are facial mask and other skincare products and even bath salt you can get from the lobby. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on its overall value.

First stay in Osaka and to be honest I had no idea where the central tourist spots in town were. I picked this hotel because the rooms looked a bit bigger and I liked the hotel's general style. Turns out the hotel was very well located in the centre of town, right in Shinsaibashi (shopping district), walking distance to Namba (or a single stop on the subway), and very easy to get to Osaka Castle. Breakfast buffet at this hotel was awesome, with a good food selection and great quality. Lots of fruit juices too (also good quality, not the cheap over sweet stuff). When I return to Osaka I will definitely be booking here again.

This hotel had recently opened so everything was still sparkly clean. I've never stayed at this chain before, but have stayed at many competitors such as APA and Mystays. And I gotta admit that this particular UNIZO location had the best facilities of them all. It could be due to the layout, but the room felt more spacious than expected, and there was no shortage of amenities readily available in room. I was ok with less or having to go to the front desk as is the case with other hotels. The keycard controlled elevators is a nice touch for security as the card determines which floors the elevator goes to and prevents wanderers. The staff was fantastic and very helpful explaining things to make sure the stay was enjoyable. The location is as good as it is going to get for the namba/shinsaibashi area with the street it is on being relatively quiet and close to the subway station. Definitely among the best value you can get in the area.

We are a group of three visitors from Hong Kong travelling to Osaka in Mid May,2014, for nine nights. It's really hard to find out a specialised 3-people room in Osaka during this high season. Then, luckily we found Lions Rock through agoda. The first thing is that they offer a really nice late check-in service. Our flight arrived at Kansai Int'l Airport at 1a.m. then we arrived at the hotel at 2:30a.m. but the receptionists kindly welcomed us and quickly finished the check-in service. Though they do not have really high proficiency in English but their attitude was kind, sincere and they were very responsive and willing to help with anything for the check-in. I would also say the location was very accessible and convenient. It was located near Shinsaibashi Shopping Street, proximal to two subway stations (Yotsubashi Station and Shinsaibashi Station). It's also just a ten to fifteen minute walk to Namba Station, which can connect you to other cities in Kansai and the KIX airport. The nine-night stay was entirely pleasant with the efficient cleanup and very nice staff who would greet you whenever you bumped into them in corridors or inside the elevator. Some of you may fear that it's located in the precinct with strayers but I would say they will not cause any disturbance to you and the police station is also just a few streets from the hotel. It's entirely safe.

5 mins walk to Shinsaibashi subway station. Between the walk from the Hotel to the subway station, there is an outlet of the famous Ichiran Ramen, which open almost 24hours from 8am to 6am. Shinsaibashi suji shopping belt link all the way to Dotombori and Namba area. All by walking. Do note that the subway from Shinsaibashi to Namba though is a stop away, it's 180 yen. Not cheap. If you are with a family of 4, taking a taxi cost around the same price. Also, there are many Pubs, clubs besides the Hotel. Young couple would love to stay here. Hotel staffs are excellent, very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is situated really well. It’s clean, easily accessible and great bathroom bed is comfortable. The best part was the staff there. They were incredibly helpful. Some of the best service I’ve seen of any hotel in my travels. We needed to get to the station to make a flight and they got us a taxi that could fit my snowboard bag and made sure the driver knew where to take us. It made our final day in Japan very easy. Thank you for your help to the staff!

first of all, the hotel is wonderfully located. it is nice and close to everything and yet on a side street so noise isn't an issue. everything is within easy walking distance; a main subway station with lift access for travelers like myself who have huge bags, a well stocked 7/11 with lots of ukon no chikara and, of course, dotonbori. all hotel staff that i met were pleasant and kind and spoke at least a little english. the clerk checking me in on the first night was pretty much fluent. the rooms were surprisingly large, huge by japanese standards. it was also a nice touch that they were all non-smoking, yet they had little smoking couches on each floor. all in all, one of the best hotels i have stayed in.

As as expected the rooms were very tight and everything seems smaller than usual. The rooms were clean and just the bare necessities were available. The location is great with alots of option for shopping and dining nearby and the subway is just about 5min walk away which can be access via Daimaru (i.e it will have escalators). Didn't get the chance to try their breakfast (it's Japan! why eat in the hotel?). This is a good hotel for single travellers / couples they will spend most of their time outside the hotel room. Only issue I had was when I was checking out and needed to pack - as space was very limited it made packing a bit difficult.
