Room Clean cozy, and dry. Like it!! Although the noise blocking from the inside doesn’t work well. You can sometimes hear your neighbors talking and the sounds of doors being closed. But it’s not the worst, thankfully (eg. no sounds of alerts of phones from your neighbors at least.) Bringing ear plugs is suggested. Breakfast (buffet) The food provided is quite simple. Although it’s not the best but it tastes good in general. Staff Most of them are professional and friendly. Others The hotel is environmentally friendly. They don’t provide some disposable amenities and you have to bring stuff by yourselves, or purchase there. Besides the bottles in the rooms, drinking water machines are available at specific floors. Overall It’s a regular hotel and it’s cozy to stay there. I’m glad they don’t play some noisy music of lunar new year. Suggestions Provide hand cleanser. Provide homemade yogurt instead of plastic-container ones in breakfast buffet. Be more considerate. Thank you!

Very friendly staffs. Free shuttle every morning to my work place in SciencePark. Although it appears to be a high rise hotel with many floors, the reality is hotel rooms start on the 6th floor. It has one of the largest facility for banquet and corp events with multi-floors to host them. Also one of the most popular buffet available in Hsinchu. Expensive considering the local standard of living lower than in the US. Buffet has half price promotion between 2:30-4:30pm and in the weekends, you can see a long line of people waiting to get in around after 2pm. Mostly locals. Room floors require room key to access the elevator which is nice. Bathroom toilet uses the highest end Toto Neorist motion sensing fully automatic toilet and washlet which is really nice.

Very convenient location, literally minutes away from Hsinchu train station, SOGO, many shops, banks and eateries nearby, Nan Men hospital just round the corner. However, room is tiny - with a queen-size bed, there is hardly room to move; doesn't even have space for a wardrobe, just a small rack to hang your clothes. Shower by standing in the bathtub with a half panel glass - which is not very useful in preventing water from wetting the toilet floor. Breakfast is simple, not many choices - doesn't even have a counter to serve omelette or noodle soup. Staff are exceptionally friendly & helpful.

We have stayed few hotels in Hsinchu and Sol sits at top of my list in terms of location, room size and value for money. Breakfast was pretty average but again it is included in the price, even for the cheapest room (no window) which is great value for money if you are not too fussed about window. We stayed at Delux with a window which is pretty generous in sizes. Room services need some improvements though as every time you ask for something it takes quite some time (1-2 hour). Ambassador is much better in terms of room service however have to point it out Ambassador is a 5 star hotel so it is not apples with apples. Our advise is that if Ambassador is on special (110 AUD ish), go for Ambassador. If value for money and location are important, Sol will not disappoint.

I have stayed in the hotel for about 1 week. it is definately not the best area to stay in if you are a tourist, you should stay in city area. the hotel staff are friendly and helpful at the front desk, the rooms are clean and tidy. the breakfast has a lot of variety, however, i never had the chance to try it properly. morning taxi cues tend to be a bit long, but usually within 10 mins wait. there is a food court at the mall next to it, which is opened till 9 30 at night, so room service is not your only option if you ever worked till late. however except for the mall, there is nothing else within walking distance. As for "zheng wang miao" it is about 5 mins taxi ride from the hotel, it is a wonder street with lots of taiwan local food.

We booked this accomodation on the recommendation from a friend especially for the in-room karaoke system. When we arrived at wego, we were led to a glamorous private waiting area. The staff then showed us the various room types (rmb to tell the staff if you want a karaoke room) that was available for selection. We were delighted by the room facilities and it is so spacious (with 2 pax jacuzzi)!! The karaoke system is equipped with bose sound system which made the whole singing experience enjoyable. The buffet breakfast have a wide range of selection too! Will definitely recommend to drop by here for a night stay ◡̈

Highly recommended Xinshe Hotel ! They are friendly and helpful in locating our missing bag . The staff urgently helped us to call high speed rail to check the missing bag. The location is near to city and attractions. The room is clean,good sound insulation, multiple choices of buffet breakfast. A small special decorating our room with love flower ! No doubts Xinshe is the best solution for all your need!

The staff of this hotel is AMAZING ! The best service I've experienced so far. The lobby staff always greet you with a smile. They anticipate your needs the minute you step into the lobby. There is this particular guy who is just superb. When it rained, and by the time I stepped out of the lobby elevator, he would rush out to the lobby front door to hand me an umbrella. When I return to the hotel, he would ensure to get the elevator. Their service seemed very Japanese style with great courtesy. I LOVE Lakeshore staff. I'm not sure how the manager trained the staff, but they are just so attentive to guest needs. I don't see such service even in W hotel or some of the Japanese hotels. Great job, Lakeshore !!

We were given a promotion and that made the hotel one of the best accommodation we stayed in terms of value for money. It was exceptionally clean and the rooms were non carpet, extremely hygienic and modern-looking. The decor was nice and the beds truly comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the indoor suana in the large bathroom which we enjoyed and appreciated tremendously. Dinner was fantastic and included western food in generous portions amidst soothing classical music. We were given discounts at the restaurant as well as welcome fruits and drinks. Breakfast was great as well. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and certainly the hotel I would stay again the next time Im in Hsinchu.

as suggested by the title, the best thing about this hotel is location- it is located at the central city where the actions are. you can easily find tons of shops and restaurants to make the tour to satisfy your demand, at the same time, won't lose too much from your wallet. the hotel itself is above average with clean rooms. the bed could be better, as well as the massage tub, but other than that, i really enjoyed the japanese style room i got (maybe each room is different?). an interesting thing you'll spot when you entered the room, is that there are no real door for the bathroom, so it's great for couples in terms of romance, but it can generate second thoughts for friends, or even family sometimes. however, since i'm travelling with my gf, so all is good :)

Very pleased and satisfied overall. Super value for money if you book during Agoda sale. Room is very big, housekeeping service is excellent and staff are friendly and accommodating. Only downside is the buffet breakfast, if the spread was more then the hotel would score a 10/10. Would strongly recommend travellers going to Hsinchu to try this hotel, no regrets. Definitely my choice again if I were to go to Hsinchu.

This hotel is cheap (even for a "superior double") and just a short walk from the train station. We arrived early and we not allowed to check in until 5 pm but the nice staff allowed us to leave our bags and let us have free coffee, which is available 24 hours in the lobby. When I say the staff were nice I mean they were totally ridiculously nice and helpful and friendly! They also provided us with a map and walking directions. The room décor is pretty hilarious: ours had a satin bed spread and a bizarre school bus theme mural. And the room came with freebies like--two condoms! This is totally a love motel, which should be pretty obvious because they offer 3 hour rest breaks (explaining the late check in time). But don't let that stop you, since the room itself is fine, with a decent bed and a hot shower. The towels weren't the newest and there were a few tumbleweeds of hair that on the floor that didn't come from our heads, but it wasn't too skanky all things considered. Anyway, they have free WiFi and breakfast was outstanding---there were so many options! Breakfast was like going to a buffet restaurant, so tasty and nutritious with lots of savory choices. Really quite a great value for the low price and convenient location. And hey, maybe you could get into the love motel mood, wink wink.

I had my stay at this hotel for 15 days and i would recommend anyone who is visiting Hsinchu can book room in this hotel. Staff here is very supportive and has provided me with all the facilities needed. Also upgraded my room on my request, as i was facing difficulty with the food in the city, to a room with microwave. Breakfast is also good and everything is on time. Rooms are clean and service for room cleaning is also great.

The hotel is conviniently located close to train station and bus stops. There are shops and restaurants just downstairs of the place. The staff is very nice and check in/out was fast. The breakfast has a nice Asian breakfast style selection. The room includes all needed amenities like water boiler, TV, AC, good shower etc. I was also able to store my luggae there for some hours after check out. You have to watch out for the sign on the street and then take an elevator to the 5th floor where the lobby is. My room had no window and I have to say that the feel and smell was a bit old. My room also had no safe in case thats important for you. I didn't feel I had to worry leaving valuables in the room. In general, its a very affordable place to sleep but the room or bed isn't pleasant enough to hang out or enjoy. I just slept there and was outside as much as possible. Also, I think that people can also book the room for shorter periods and what comes with that. So I don't think, e.g., a family would feel comfortable staying here.

We enjoyed the hotel, and especially its central location in Hsinchu. The hotel is pretty nice, and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, included with our stay, was really great. Staff were very friendly overall. We did have one problem, which caused us a lot of annoyance: We were staying two nights, but after the first night, the staff forced us to change rooms. I'd previously checked with staff when we originally checked in, to make sure we had our room reserved for two nights, and they had assured us that we did. Staff apologized, but didn't help us, and we had to waste time packing up and moving to a different floor/room.

it's a nice stay. the staff didn't really speak English but really friendly and helpful. the overall condition of the room is beyond the price expectation so it's good. the breakfast is okay for any traveler even if you don't like Chinese' food. the environment outside the hotel is also good. You can easily find a place to shop or buy food so you won't ever get starve. The location of the hotel is great because it has a close and easy access to Sogo department store, Hsinchu Train Station and the famous East Gate.
