Much more luxurious than the other 4 star Birmingham hotels we've stayed in.

All that place is very modern and quiet, in nice neighbourhood, 15 minutes walk from the city centre (Bullring). Plenty of shops and cafes nearby. Vending machine in the lobby offers snacks and hot/cold drinks for a pound. The free Wifi is super fast and always works. The only small minus is that after long hot shower whole room gets really steamy. Also there is no place to put your things or bags but that is not really a big problem. It will definitely be my first choice for my next stay in Birmingham really soon!

Hotel is rather unusual being located in the middle of the Irish quarter of Birmingham. On the other hand, I was given a very comfortalbe standard double which was newly refurbished, the paint was still almost wet, all bathroom shower fittings new, looking over a park area. It makes a very convenient one night stop over.

The room was clean & spacious. Key wouldnt swipe but Staff were excellent & helpful . Wi fi was crap ... poor reception at 8th floor. No Parking of hotel so had to park in high gate parking which cost extra & was a rip off. Was charged £12 for one night when the hotel stamped my ticket . Got a great deal through Agoda including breakfast, (a large selection of cooked breakfast and bakery items served in a bright and airy restaurant area. It really hit the spot. Cheap parking in Moor St for £7 for the total time we were there. Great value for the city and just a 5 min walk from the hotel. All in all, a big thumbs up. We would definitely stay again when returning to Birmingham.

This is a good hotel. Distance from New Street station is fantastic but its a shame the surrounding area is so grubby and run down. The welcome and checking-in was warm and professional. The room was very good, a little cold though. No matter what I tried to do with the thermostat, nothing seemed to change this. I did mention it when leaving the hotel. I should have said it during my stay to be honest. One of the main reasons for booking this hotel, apart from location, was its gym. I was hoping it wold be a good one and one I would expect to be in a 4 star hotel. But it was awful and useless. 6 dumb bells, 2 running machines, 1 rowing machine. There were 4 people working out in the room and that was over crowded. If someone was using the dumb bells, you had no chance unless you wanted to be hit in the face by one. It was the worst gym I have ever seen in a 4 star hotel. I did speak to reception about this and they said it was going to be refurbished, no date was given. This was the only down side to it and dont want it to over shadow what is mainly a good hotel

This hotel has good-sized rooms which are immaculate and very well equipped (room safe, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, tea and coffee making facilities, etc). The staff were excellent. check in and check out were very fast, and the staff were knowledgable about the area when we wanted advice. Location is excellent - a short walk from Bull Ring shopping, the coach station, train station, and there were always available taxis in a car park next door (to the left as you exit the hotel). Breahfast was good and comprehensive, also started at 6.30am, which suited us. Altogether a good place to stay, and I would chose this hotel again for a Birmingham city centre stay.

The ONLY drawback of this compact hotel was that they don't do early book-ins, even after I mentioned that my flight would land 7:10am and that I would want to book in at 7:45am, they merely mentioned that they could only accommodate me at 1...The Hotel still feels new and crisp, the rooms are excellent with clean, crisp linen, neat furnishings and a decent sized shower. only stayed the one night for a very brief visit to birmingham. hotel was a high standard with reasonable size rooms, good bathroom and a very warm and welcoming air. ideally situated for good restaurants, nia, sealife, theatre and cbso concert hall, canals, city centre and all the entertainments of broad street. happy to stay there again and would recommend to othe...only stayed the one night for a very brief visit to birmingham. hotel was a high standard with reasonable size rooms, good bathroom and a very warm and welcoming air. ideally situated for good restaurants, nia, sealife, theatre and cbso concert hall, canals, city centre and all the entertainments of broad street. happy to stay there again and would recommend to others. only downside, due to location, was expensive parking; around per night.

I booked and paid in full for a one night stay to attend my Daughter's graduation. On my way to Birmingham I received a phone call to say that the hotel through a "technical issue" was overbooked and they were moving me to an alternative outside the centre. To cut a long story straight through Agoda I found another room at an alternative hotel just down the road. So when the receptionist at the AC said there was no rooms available in Birmingham he obviously hadn't tried looking very hard.

The best hotel I have ever been to. The staff made my stay super comfortable. I will definitely be booking with this hotel again when I come up Birmingham. When I arrived the receptionists were so lovely to me and my friend. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about this hotel. Wish I stayed longer because the staff were that nice. We booked the hotel for its location and value and had a very pleasant surprise. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we could not complain. The room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large with a good walk-in shower. The underground car park was safe and secure. Overall, good location, great value for money. Check out The Shakespeare Inn next door. Very good beer and food at very reasonable prices

Hotel was lovely and clean, room was nice with a comfy bed, plenty of space, loads of plug sockets, good TV, comfy chairs and a good size desk, lovely shower, breakfast was varied and very enjoyable (but the mushrooms are waaaaay too peppery) and there is a tram station 20 seconds from the hotel.... £1 to go straight to New Street Train station (town centre)! No parking, but the road opposite has a car park that is £3:80 for 24 hours, loads of space! Really enjoyed my stay, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
