this hotel, location was great! especially if you plan on visiting universal studios and the aquarium, this hotel is the first hotel located right front of universal studios, and literally 3 min walk from the train station. But if you plan on visiting the main city of osaka it is a 30 min train ride away, or a $40 cab ride back. we stayed here for two nights and it was perfect enough. The staff IS amazing, and very sweet. if you get tired of universal and want to take a nap back at the hotel before heading out again, this hotel is perfect. we also ate the restaurnts in the hotel plaza. the all you can eat shabu shabu there was perfect after a night out partying from osaka. This hotel has a lawsons 24 hours downstairs, which is like 7/11 and they have a great selection of breakfast necessities, hangover drinks, snacks, and fruits for your daily needs. I would stay at this location again, we starred out at the other hotels, and we thought we picked the best one.

This hotel is a stone throw from the Universal City train station only. Nearby lots of foods and eatery plus GAP outlet store. The staffs speak good English and very friendly helpful too. The hotel provide the best top floor onsen for both gender with vending machine that sell instant noodles, drinks and beer too. The hotel lobby also provide free flow of toiletries, shaver, cotton and combs too. It’s less than 100m to the entrance of universal studio and there is also a airport bus direct from a Universal Studio to Kansai Airport. The train is also short distance to Osaka and Namba Station too great for shopping and lots of foods. This hotel is very good for couples as well as for family. The only things they need to improve is to have more English TV channel instead of Japanese programs only.

Really enjoyed everything about the hotel. The minions theme, the facilities, the proximity distance to train station and Universal Studio, the ampleness of shops and restaurants nearby, as a matter of fact, my kids love it so much they wished they could have stayed longer. We stayed for 3 nights and booked the 4 bed deluxe room.. it was incredibly a huge room with plenty of children amenities included. Best yet, Our room has an amazing view of USJ Roller coaster so we were delighted to see the view from our window everyday.

It was our first time in Osaka & in Japan. Miss Kawahira made sure that we were treated well & that we had the best experience at Hotel Universal Port Vita. She personally wrote us a card to wish us a Happy 28th Wedding Anniversary. Miss Kawahira has excellent work ethics, is dedicated to her job and has a welcoming & caring personality. She went out of her way by providing us with clear instructions on how to get from Yokohama to Hotel Universal Port Vita by the Shinkansen train & then to Lake Biwa by the JR train. She recommended us to some areas of interest & even walked us to the pier to catch our boat ride to the Port of Osaka. I hope her manager will recognize Miss Kawahira for a job well done & make sure that she receives the employee of the month award for her outstanding service. Family of 2 adults and 2 girls, booked a 4 bed room and asked for a high floor. The hotel is newly renovated (at least the floor I was on). It was the 23rd floor on the city side. We spent every evening looking out at the city lights. Did I say this was an entirely new room, tastefully furnished and with modern amenities. It was next to the train station for convenience. Actually, it was sandwiched by the train station and subway station. 6 minutes train to Osaka station. We got breakfast at the bakery downstairs everyday or the Family Mart. We loved this hotel. Amazing value find.

This hotel is a bit far from the city centre of osaka (umeda or namba) but it was fairly easy to travel around as the hotel provided free shuttle to the nearest train station! The breakfast was great as well! The walk from the nearest train station to the hotel takes around 10-15minutes, therefore it was not that hard to walk back but with luggage we used a taxi from the subway station and it was only the base fare(680 JPY)

The hotel is quite new. The interior is really nice, modern and clean. It is one train station away from USJ (140Yen), and is about 5 mins walk to the train station. There is a nearby 24-hour convenient store where you can buy food. In-room provision includes small fridge, electric water pot, tea cups, air purifier, tv (mostly Japanese channels), and safe. No water bottles nor coffee provided. The hotel only provides Japanese tea packets, but are available only at the lobby together with other toiletries (i.e. bath salts, combs, body scrub sponge, razor, etc.). Be sure to get them before you go to your room upon check-in so you don't have to go down again. There is no room telephone; you have to go outside the hallway to call the reception desk if you need anything. Staff are friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was fast. I will definitely stay here again.

Hotel itself is excellent in terms of FOOD ( Breakfast) , location (within Universal City vicinity ) , cleanliness,( everyday cleaning and change of night wear and consumables ) except for staff ( NO rude staff - in fact you can feel their willingness to help , but due to communication barrier wasn't able to ) - can not understand ENGLISH at all - I need to write in a small paper and leave it to the counter - then somebody was able to read my message . Suggest that in all shifts ( staff schedule ) - assign somebody who can understand English - even simple English . It's really hard to communicate to those who can't understand even a very simple English . Overall - The Hotel was more than what I expected to be , near Train Station , with convenience store just beside the Hotel entrance - the Breakfast is very good - lots of choices with unlimited supply , even the night wear were provided. Great Hotel , very satisfied, will definitely recommend to friends coming to Osaka .

Perfect location - 2 min walk to the Bentencho Train station, where the Osaka Circle was easy to access. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. They provided storage for my luggage and my friend's luggage (even though they stayed at a different location) while we explored around, because we arrived before our room was ready. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and a 7-11 downstairs. My room was perfect. The bed was comfortable, and clean. I extended my stay and the staff let me stay in the same room - which was very convenient - I didn't have to pack my things and move rooms. My reservation included breakfast and they had a great selection of food. I definitely recommend this place.

If you're quite on budget but still want to stay in a hotel that is very near to USJ, this is the best place for you. A few minutes walk and you're there. I love how friendly the staff are. They even help us to get the room we wanted since our agent messed up our booking. The place was accessible to almost all shops and you have variety of choices of food resto. The place was so clean and staff were very accommodating. The only difficulty we had was communication. Not all can speak english so may want to learn to speak a bit of japanese. I would like to stay there again if ever we visit japan again.

everythings is ok nice and good :)just across the road have a nice shopping mall in day time, also have a nice view in this shopping mall, food also nice and have lots of choice also and not expensive, much cheaper then u at on down town area, must go.nothing is not good but if have to go to down town is a bit far but is ok because is quite easy to go to down town, so is not a problem at all :) the only things not good is the TV channel, because most of them is japanese movie and if u want to watch english movie have to pay for it :) and no 24 hours coffee house, one more things is good is free wifi here in your hotel rooms. and is near subway train station, anyway this hotel have free suttle bus to the main subway train station if u back too late is not a problem also because u can take subway back to hotel.all is good in this hotel, just enjoy your stay :)oh one more things is i cant find a health club in this hotel, but i also not really go to find it, maybe have and i cant find it :)anyway totally is nice in this hotel.and is not expensive also.if u stay in Honk Kong on this type of hotel will charge you maybe USD350 but here only USD150. Agoda give us a good choice for this kind of hotel :) thanks.

Well, I was there for a concert so this hotel is pretty near the venue, just 5 mins walk to the venue. However this hotel is oretty far away from the nearest train station but it's still walkable distance, probably around 15 to 20mins of walk, you can hitch a cab if you want because it's gonna be cheap. Anyway, this hotel is nice by itself, the surroundings outside hotel gets abit dark in the night due to lack of lamp posts around so i wouldn't suggest a single lady to stay here. Oh one last thing, the staffs don't really speak other languages except Japanese.

The location was a 5-10min walk away from a JR station, and while the room wasn't that big, the interior design was beyond our expectations. There was vinyl record player in the room, and we could borrow different oldies music vinyl from the lobby's reception for free. Love the concept! My only concern was that check-in timing's a little late, and check-out a little early.

Good size room, clean and approximately 500 mts away from Osakako Station. The hotel is near Aquarium and Universal Studio. When we arrived the first night, the air conditioner in our room was not working well but they were able to fix it the next day. The staff was not able to help us regarding the 2 day Amazing Pass even though we gave them the brochure in Japanese. So we just search in the internet and ask help from Information Centers in train stations.

The room is very spacious and almost every household stuffs are provided except for iron, very near to the train station, one thing that we had a little bit of problem is the check-out time was different from the booking site, we found out that check out time is one hour earlier than the one written in their front desk tablet so, we had to rush checking out. I called the staff if we could extend but my request was not granted. I will still recommend this place to friends and family. If we will go back to Osaka, we will book this place again.
