Find hotels in Resorts World Birmingham

We have stayed here many times before and are always happy to return. This time, my wife and her friend were seeing Michael Buble at Resorts World Arena, and I was playing Chauffeur! Location, staff and facilities were, as always, perfect. Staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Breakfast is efficient and yet in a relaxing room - never crowded or frenetic. Happy to keep coming back :-)

We were looking for a cheaper option than the Hilton for a weekend event at the NEC and the Ibis was the perfect solution. A 5 minute walk to the convention center with disabled access to the exhibition halls. The hotel was about half the price of the Hilton (a 15 minute walk away). Breakfast was included and the staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms feature everything you would expect and the hotel includes a nice bar with plenty of room to socialize with friends. There is a gym, but we didn't make use of it. Oh and there are wild rabbits at the back of the hotel which are fun to watch!

We always stay here for the UK Games Expo at the NEC. It is the perfect location as we can get to the Expo in five minutes and we are also close to the airport as well as Resorts World. The staff at the hotel are always very friendly and helpful. The room is really clean and quite roomy. We had three people sharing the room and yet we never felt cramped. WE would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza hotel.

We stayed at the Arden Hotel for one night as it was well located for a concert at the Resorts World Arena. The staff were very friendly and helpful right from our arrival at reception, when we ate in the bar area and when we had breakfast. We were impressed with the high standard of customer service and immaculate presentation of all staff members. However, our room could have done with a little TLC. The bathroom while adequate, would have benefited from a deep clean to remove cobwebs & floor dust. It was also noted that the protective cover on the electric towel rail was cracked and close to falling off potentially exposing the wires. In spite of these observations, we would definitely book again.

The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a hotel shuttle which goes to Birmingham Airport/Rail Station every half hour from 5am to 10pm. This make it very easy to go to Birmingham downtown within half an hour spin of time. The food in the hotel restaurant is excellent and great for value. I have full English breakfast every morning and it's great; for dinner, I highly recommend "Grilled Salmon". The shuttle drivers are very helpful, they gave me a lot of sightseeing suggestions, and I travelled to Solihull which is a great place to shop and hang around on a sunny English Summer day. For art deco fan, be sure not to miss this hotel which used to be the old Birmingham Airport Office Building back in 1930s, then Excelsior Hotel in 1940s. It is classified as heritage building now. Overall, an excellent stay for me and will go back again if I travel to Birmingham again.

Good: - Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful - Communal areas (lounge, bar, toilets etc) were very nicely presented, clean, tidy, and pleasant to spend time in. - Parking was ample, free, close to the accommodation, secure and easy - The building and the grounds are beautiful, traditionally decorated and and very well kept. If you couldn't see the towers in the city centre, you wouldn't believe you were in Birmingham - The rooms were clean, and the bathroom in particular was very nice - The bar was a very nice place to be, and the selection of beers and lagers were lovely, if a tad expensive Bad - Other members of staff were less than helpful , and clearly did not have the training to provide the service necessary. They were absent-minded and badly organised, and sometimes quite rude - Toilets were strangely out of stock of soap. Despite several complaints about this, people were having to either go up to their rooms to wash their hands,m or just not bother all together - Room was cold, slightly out-dated, and the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress felt very cheap and old, and was in desperate need of replacing. A room at a Premier Inn would have cost the same if not less, and the beds are much more comfortable there. - The room had a TV, but strangely someone had taken the batteries out of the the remote, so it was useless. - The food was very sub-par to say the least. The sandwiches ordered from the bar were wildly expensive and were very poor. £8 for a grated-cheese sandwich on stale bread? We couldn't believe it at the time... - All of the walls have big black scuff marks all over them, in the lounge, in the rooms, in the hallways. It is not a good first impression.

My mother-in-law and myself stayed in the express in nec in aug 2010 when we went to vist friends in Birmingham. i picked this one as it was near the airport. I would have no complaints at all about the hotel, it was spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable and we had loads of tv channels and even though we were near the from entrance we were never woken up by noise or anything.I have stayed with Express Inn before in Newcastle and i was not disappointed, it was exactly what we wanted. Top marks to them.

Stayed for one night before an early international flight. Was not expecting much for the price I paid but I was thoroughly impressed with the standard of accommodation provided. My room was very neat, clean and modern. The bathroom cleanliness was outstanding. If I had one complaint it would be that the room air conditioning seemed quite loud - I could hear the air blowing, however I sleep with headphones so after I put those on then I managed a decent sleep.
