The sea view is also good, seongsan ilchulbong and sunrise can directly be seen in our room. However, It is sad since the weather is cloudy on the night we stay. We only booked for 1 night. I regretted that I should stay more nights since here is really perfect regrading to its price.

The Haevichi is located on the south-eastern tip of Jeju-island, midway between Seongsan Ilchulbong and Seogwipo City along the coast. We stayed on the hotel annex (as opposed to the resort annex) of the property. The hotel compounds are beautifully designed and you have a lovely view of the ocean from most parts of the lobby. Our superior room was spacious, modern, tastefully furnished and very well maintained. Free Wifi is available within the room and most parts of the hotel. The bathroom is also very spacious and well designed. This is definitely one of the most luxurious and comfortable accommodations on Jeju-island. As some reviewers mentioned, the hotel is located on a relatively remote part of the island. The city of Seogwipo is a 30 mins drive away and Jeju city (and the airport) is about an hours drive away. However if you rented a car (as we did), it was no hassle at all. We wanted to see sunrise at Seongsan Ilchulbong and the hotel is a quick 20 min drive from the foot of the Ilchulbong. It is also a stop on the Olle Trail #4. In terms of dining options, the restaurant at the hotel lobby serves decent international fare and also offers a nice breakfast buffet spread. Outside the hotel, there is a bunch of restaurants within 5 min walk of the hotel, along the coastal roads. The small town of Pyoseon is a quick 3-5 min drive away, provides more dining options. You can also find a convenience store, a bakery (Paris Baguette) and some drinking/coffee places there. All in all, we had a wonderful stay here and will not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Jeju-do.

The hotel is in a great location for climbing up the Ilchulbong Peak - it's a nice walk along the beach to the Peak and if you are lucky enough to get a seaside view I'm sure the sunrise would be amazing. The hotel was clean and the rooms big, with excellent bathrooms. The only let down is that you have to pay extra to use the rooftop pool which seems a bit strange as it was empty most of the time we were there. You can get up to the rooftop without paying, and have a drink whilst watching the sunset is a must! We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food, though there are a range of restaurants around the hotel. We didn't have a car, finding it easy and cheap to travel around by bus. Overall a lovely hotel!

Mid range hotel with standard basic amenities. Pros: - Friendly front desk. - ~ 10 mins drive to the famous Seongsan Ilchulbong. - My roommate like the toilet seat which is electronically warmed. Cons: - Hotel has a funny sweet smell (essential oil I suspect). - Layout of the room is not good, especially the toilet entrance. We stayed a total of 2 nights, and in the first night we discovered that the air-conditioning in our room would automatically switch off after 1 hour as there was a timer. We tried to toggle with the remote control, ...It was an enjoyable stay at Seopjikoji Sunrise Hotel. It was a stone’s throw away from the Seongsan Ilchulbong, and there were several restaurants around. We stayed a total of 2 nights, and in the first night we discovered that the air-conditioning in our room would automatically switch off after 1 hour as there was a timer. We tried to toggle with the remote control, but it was all in Korean so our attempt was futile. We checked with the staff the next day and they were very apologetic and tried their best to fix the problem, but to no avail. However, they offered to give us a new room to have a more comfortable night of sleep, and even allowed us to keep our original room so that we don’t have to move all our unpacked stuff into the new room. The little glitch in the air-con in the first night was nothing compared to their hospitality. Thank you for this enjoyable stay!

The room wasn't bad, pretty specious, and there weren't many cars, so it was easy for us to park. But in the morning when we checked out, there were a bunch of tour buses than pulled in, so it was a bit annoying for us to get out. And shoutout to the front desk guy. I felt bad, because we had intended to check out at 5AM, so the guy told us he would be there to check us out, but we ended up sleeping through our alarm, and didn't have time to check out in the morning. Not sure if he was there that early just to check us out, but he didn't seem too upset about it, and even asked us if we went to see the sunrise.

And this hotel, from my surveying, was the only nearest lodging to the Peak that was modern, clean and cheap. Took me barely 10 minutes stroll to the seaside to catch the sunrise. While my one-night stay would be rather short, the stay was a good one. The couple at the reception (probably the owners of this lodging) were friendly despite our very late check-in, and while they looked pretty stern at first glance, were friendly after a few physical exchanges. While their understanding of English was limited, my rusty Korean did no help to elevate the language barrier. At last, this would be a gem if you are planning to hike the Seongsan Sunrise Peak.

Great place if you want a nice clean modern apartment. Not luxurious but definitely nice. Negative for us was mainly the location. We had booked in another part of the island, but the previous week's typhoon damaged it so they cancelled on us. Finding another suitable place on short notice wasn't easy. Arts Spa and Pool Villa was great in that sense...a nice apartment...Great place if you want a nice clean modern apartment. Not luxurious but definitely nice. Negative for us was mainly the location. We had booked in another part of the island, but the previous week's typhoon damaged it so they cancelled on us. Finding another suitable place on short notice wasn't easy. Arts Spa and Pool Villa was great in that sense...a nice apartment on short notice when we didn't have many good options. But the location isn't inspiring. Overall I'd recommend it, but maybe view the surroundings first so you understand the location. Another typhoon came through while we were there. I can report that the units are very sturdy (and, happily, the electricity didn't go out).

our stay at Feliz Town was wonderful. The hotel was difficult to find, we realize that cab drivers in Korea have no clue in reading addresses but luckily the address can be found on the GPS (yes, we did encounter situations where addresses can't even be found on the GPS) and therefore we were able to reach the hotel without much troubles. The hotel was not located near any bus stops but the owner was kind enough to drop us to the bus stop and drove us to the sunrise peak early in the morning (5am). I seriously think she is the friendliest, most helpful and kindest host whom I have ever had the honour to meet. And nobody seem to recognize the hotel by the name, so please don't be so naive to think that you could just tell the taxi driver the name of the hotel and you would arrive at your destination (we did and ended up at nowhere! The location of the was overall good, near to Seongsan Ilchulbong Sunrise Peak, Seopjikoji, not too far away from Manjanggul Cave and very close to the harbour where you can take a short ferry to the Udo island.

We arrived late at night due to flight delay, yet there's still a staff that waiting for us. Even though he cannot speak English well, he specially prepared notes written in English and Bahasa to greet and inform us about the room upgrade. And the room is really big for three people, with two double bed, huge LCD TV, computer, kitchen utensils, and also a bathtub! In the morning, when we opened the curtain, the beautiful view of Seongsan Ilchubong Peak greet us! We're really touched by the old couple staff that tried hard to explain to us where we can see a canola flower in Jeju. With body gesture, they told us that the flower not blooming in Seopjikoji anymore and gave us the location where the flower still bloom. If you planning to go to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Udo Island, or any tourist attractions in the west part of Jeju, i really recomend this hotel because the bus stop is only a minute walk from the hotel!
