Find hotels in Shinjuku Train Station

I was looking for a cheap hotel in Shinjuku area, and really didn't mind if the rooms were small, as long as the place was clean, decent, and had a great location. APA Hotel in Shinjuku-Gyonmae fits the bill to a T. It may have bigger rooms, I don't know, but for solo traveller like me, I was just looking for 1 single room.The room was very small, as expected. But amazingly compact in design and complete. This is Japanese efficiency of putting everything together in such a small space. I had a study table, a mini ref, a hospitality coffee and tea, and a giant flat screen TV (this was the only big thing)! The toilet was also amazingly compact, but well designed to fit everything you would need, including automatic bidet and nice hot shower. The toilet seemed like a pre-fabricated module plug into the room, and was spotlessly clean! As a single traveller, the small space is really just enough for one to move around, but who cares, I just need a place to sleep and shower. And I must say, the bed quality and duvet was superb--super soft, although the pillows were flat (Japanese style?). It also had an aircon so I switched it on so it doesn't get so stuffy. The reading lights and switches are also well located in such a small space. And must I say that the wifi was super fast! The location is also just less than 5 mins. walk to Shinjuku-Gyonmae subway (Maranouchi Line) which connects to Shinjuku main station (2 stops away) where you can connect to so many trains. Around the area is quite New Yorkish (quiet side) with Choco croque, Tully's Cafe, Freshness Burger, Coco Ichibanya, many Family Marts and 7-11's, and a big nice park behind. Very safe and clean neighbourhood. I didn't book for breakfast, as it was easy to eat out. It also has a free sauna and spa at the lower basement in case you want to use. I just took a look. After staying in small hotel rooms and feeling squished, we were very happy to stay in a 2 bedroom suite here. It was nice to have a dining room table, separate TV room and all the kitchen amenities needed and a washing machine to boot. The best surprise was 2 toilets! With a family of five this was a welcome amenity. Daily breakfast was nice to have. It was the same basic selection daily (ham, cheese, salad, bread, eggs, soup, tea, yogurt, cornflakes, and drinks). The rooms were decorated nicely, with a modern Japanese look. The pictures online did not do it justice. They were spotless, very comfortable and nicely updated. The JR Okubo train station was a 3 minute walk away, and one stop away from Shinjuku, making this a very convenient location. I liked being away from the busy city, but only a 15 minute walk from the heart of Shinjuku. There was a grocery store next door, which was helpful because we were getting tired of eating only in restaurants. The hotel even had DVD's (some in English) to lend out. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, this was the most comfortable placed we stayed in Japan and I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Note to hotel marketing staff: FYI, the pictures on other web sites like Expedia, make the room look plain and do not show the Japanese touches like lighted Japanese screens. For 2 bedroom suites, there was no mention of 2 toilets (a good selling point) and on some web sites I couldn't tell whether the Japanese bedroom was the only one, or if there was another bedroom with the 4 twin beds, and no washing machine was pictured so I had to call to see if there was one in the room. The pictures on your company website with the floor plan was helpful. Thank you for our stay at your property! We enjoyed it very much.

We had a lovely room, very spacious, clean, quiet. The bed was awesome and the pillows were a little hard for us but we slept very well. The food at the Japanese Restaurant was the best tasting. We ordered the Sakura complete meal and was not disappointed. The Crystal buffet in morning was very delicious. The customer service was excellent!!! We will be back to book at this hotel definitely. helped us Chk in, hold our luggage, make dinner reservations, and upgraded our room. The Hotel is lucky to have him as he exemplified customer service! Our experience with Keio Plaza started on a positive note because of his services. The ambiance of the Hotel with the crystal chandeliers, the most beautiful flower arrangement in the foyer, and we even witnessed the new floral arrangement being done by a guy. The Shinjuku train station was a very short walk from Keio. Very safe and Odakyu, Keio Dept, n Lumine was right there!

We booked one night Studio Double & one night Mature Double in this trip. It's an wonderful experience in the Mature Double as the room is new, modern and very well equipped. This hotel uses high quality equipments, appliances and toilet ware. And can tell that management is very thoughtful e.g. air purifier, facial toner & moisturiser, hair gel as well as disposable rubbing towel are all prepared. My husband said he slept very well in both rooms. The staff speaks very good English. And it is around 15 mins walk to Shinjuku train station. We took taxi when we traveled with luggage but walked when went to sightseeing. The night life market is nearby so is very accessible for food any time. Highly recommend!

i really like this hotel. among the APA hotels that ive stayed so far, this is the best in terms of location, size and the accessibility. waking distance from the shinjuku train station and while walking, a lot of stores of different kinds are available as well as food establishments. don quijote is along the way also. currency exchange is also around the corner. name it,

The Godzilla was helpful to tell taxi drivers when the couldn't understand Gracery Hotel. Godzilla always worked. Very helpful staff, comfortable beds and fantastic bath with complimentary bath salts. Great to be able to catch the bus just outside the hotel door that went to the Shinjuku train station. From there we went all over. Lots of choice of restaurants close by the hotel an a well stocked convenience store next door. Would stay here again.

Let me start by saying the staff are absolutely amazing, and considering English isn't widely spoken they went above and beyond to make sure our stay both within and outside of the hotel was as enjoyable as possible. I was a little unwell and wanted to visit a clinic, and the concierge staff googled the closest one's opening hours and offered to come translate for me which was above and beyond their duties. We asked for directions and recommendations a million times and they were incredibly helpful each and every time. We didn't dine in the hotel as it was a short 1 night stay for us, but I would imagine if the food is as good as the service it's pretty good! Check in/out was done in speed record time and with no hassles. The room, while small was immaculately clean and had everything you'd need - just don't plan on opening all your cases and spreading out your belongings! The location is great, right near the Shinjuku train station. Google maps says it's walking distance, it is but if you're carrying a tonne of luggage you might want to spring for a taxi. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely stay here.

We stayed in JR Kyushu in March 2016 for 3 nights. The location can't be beat. There is a Lawson store right beside the hotel, a Mc Donald's at the corner and a coffee shop right across. Easy to get to and from the airport via the airport limousine service (2 options for the airport limousine bus stop - Sunroute Hotel which nearer but with less frequency or the West exit of the Shinjuku train station which is a bit farther away but the airport bus comes by every 20 or so minutes). Comfortable bed, friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again.

Location is good. It is 6-8 mins walk from Tochomae and Shinsen-shinjuku train stations. It is also accessible via subway from Shinjuku station, but it's quite a long walk around 15mins, which I find convenient though during winter. There are a lot of nearby shops, restaurants, and convenience stores (Family Mart located at 1F and Ministop and B1). I recommend this hotel if you're travelling with a lot of stuff since airport limousine bus stops right in front of the hotel. You can also buy bus tickets to return to airport in the hotel information counter. The hotel staff are very warm and speaks good English. Room was cleaned everyday except that it's dusty on the bedside. It looks like they don't dust daily.

Walking distance to Shinjuku train station. Lots of convenience stores & places to eat by. Alao close to shopping places. Rooms are tiny but I guess this is the norm in Tokyo. Buffet breakfast menu does not change, but was good & my kids loved it. We stayed 8 nights. There is a Lawson at the ground floor that is open 24 hrs. It was quite tricky to find since there are two Citadines hotels in Shinjuku. This hotel is more central & close to everything.

The rooms at Century Southern were fantastic: modern, much larger than your typical Japanese hotel room, our most comfortable beds in Japan, expansive views of Shinjuku....the hotel itself is also really nice. In terms of location, the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the amazing Shinjuku national garden, but other than that, the immediate area isn't that exciting ( although it is walking distance from some of the major department stores if you're into shopping). The best thing about the location is that it's near the Shinjuku train station, which is a major rail hub, and also the starting point for the Narita airport express.

LOCATION At first I was apprehensive of this as I booked this by mistake as i wanted the one at Shinjuku. However, this was a happy mistake. From Narita, able to get on the express train to the train station with a toddler, a stroller and two luggages in tow. Walking distance from the station (approx 50m). Lots of nearby places to eat, and supermarket just across the street. From Yotsuya-Sanchome station, going to Shinjuku, Tokyo, Ginza, Shibuya is a breeze. AMENITIES Breakfast spread is very good. No lack of variety considering its excellent price point. No gym or pool though. That's a small downside. ROOMS Clean. Comes with humidifier which was a big bonus for someone coming from a tropical country. Can sleep better when the air is not as dry esp during winter. End state verdict. Booked by mistake. But did not regret it at all. Best mistake ever.

I really enjoy staying at Hilton Tokyo a lot. I chose this hotel because Airport limousine can send me in front of the hotel. But I found out later that hotel also provide free shuttle bus from hotel to Shinjuku train station, the bus leave every 20 mins which is very convenient. This shuttle bus also take you back to the hotel from Shinjuku station as well. You can ask for the bus timetable at the reception. Also there's a subway connection right from the hotel lobby. I can get out the train at Nishi-shinjuku station and walk underground around 3 mins and pop up right inside the hotel lobby! Really convenient! Room view is great as I stayed at high floor. Really appreciate this hotel and I will recommend to everyone I know if they're going to Tokyo.

What I liked best is the proximity of the hotel to train stations. The nearest one is just a 3-min walk (Shin Okubo it was I think) while the Shinjuku train station, a major train station is about 20mins. The big Shinjuku Expressway bus station is 25-30mins away. The street where the hotel itself has many restaurants and shops (cosmetics, groceries, fresh produce). It is right next to a Don Quixote, a couple of buildings from a Family Mart, and about 10mins away from a McDonald’s takeout counter. Many of the shops and restaurants are open till 10 which is good if you are coming home late. The staff cleans the rooms daily and provides fresh towels and beddings (unless you tell them not to). The only reason I’m giving this 3 stars for value for money is because I’ve had a similar, good experience at a cheaper hotel (but just as nice) in Osaka, just 20mins away from Dotonbori.

Pros -Room size was slightly larger compared to other similar priced hotels and the layout complemented it as well -Free breakfast (Sufficient variety of mixed Japanese and international choices.) -Abt 10minutes walk from JR Shinjuku train station -Lot of food options nearby including a Ramen Jiro located along the next street - Onsen facilities was included in the hotel which used carbonated spring water was a plus and really relaxing after long day of walking. Though the size of the onsen was comparatively small but usually not crowded even in the night. I went 3 times throughout my 6D5N stayed and I saw no more than 3 other guest. -Allowed guest to choose their own pillows (You have to be quick as they are limited) - Housekeeping was done everyday at 10am and I could noticed the housekeepers were throughout in the cleaning. Cons -Lifts were a little slow and sometimes crowded (But is not really a issue if you are not staying on a high floor as you can always use the stairs

Very good hotel. Wonderful location, in the heart of Shinjuku. less than a minute to a metro station and 5-6 minutes walk from the big Shinjuku train station. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and well organized. Fantastic bed - very good mattress and pillows. The washing machine in the room was super helpful. Important to know that as a standard the sheets are changed only once a week. The towels are changed and the trash bin is emptied every day. The room is quite small, but I believe this is the standard in the heart of Tokyo hotels. For me as a solo traveller it was very good, I enjoyed coming back to my room at the end of the busy travelling days.

We stayed for 5 nights and no plan to wash our dirty clothes that the staff was very sweet to provide a free bottle splash fragrance for using on used clothes to remove odor. Staff are helpful and good English speaking. It's resturant opens late night and price is acceptable. If traveller took a train to Shinjuku and arrived at night time, I would suggest to take a taxi to hotel. The staff in Shinjuku train station didn't speak or understood English well and gave me the wrong direction to hotel. Even hotel room is small and no

I had a great stay. Both my checkin and checkout were seamless. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. Agoda needs to update their listing of the facilities though. The gym is not free if you are not a Hyatt Gold member. The cost to use the gym, pool, etc. is about $20.00 USD per visit. Also the internet is about $3.00 USD per device per day. If you are a Hyatt Gold member both are free. The hotel is super close to the Shinjuku Train Station. I'd say it was a 10 minute walk from the West exit. Also there are many restaurants all within walking distance. Last but not least, the quality of the facility and rooms were excellent.

We caught the bus straight from the airport to Shinjuku train station and caught a cab from there to the hotel. The hotel is by a subway station but on a different line and whilst this is not entirely convenient with all our baggage it did make our sightseeing more manageable during the following days. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was good. Like many Tokyo hotels the rooms are very small but were actually perfect for our needs as we didn't spend much time in the room itself.

My wife, son and I arrive in Tokyo by train to Shinjuku station. None of us had been to Tokyo before and did not know what to expect. We anticipated that the hotel was going to be short distance form the station so we could walk. It turned out to be a short taxi ride but could be walkable if you knew ahead of time which exit of the train station to exit from. It would still be a good walk. Street addressing in Tokyo is interesting and even the taxi driver had a hard time finding the hotel. Checking in was a breeze and we found the room small but adequate for the price we payed for 3. My son loved the Wi-Fi and after a while understood there was internet access on floor 5 and 7. Our first room had some issues with the AC not working well but our second stay at the end of the trip on floor 5 had a great air conditioner. The hotel is off the beaten path but very close to night life which we did every night walking around. The free juice and soda station was used a lot by my son and wife. A nice touch. The front desk did exchange some US dollars for us but did not cash travelers checks which wold have been a nice feature since banks are hard to find. At least for us. We did not ever find a bank. The hotel is in a nice part of Tokyo and we felt safe everywhere we went. We would certainly stay at this hotel again and would encourage others to do so.

The rooms are super tiny - but that's expected for the budgeted price and for Tokyo. Location is central - loads of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The Shinjuku train station is a 15 minute walk as well as all the major shops. It's nestled between some central tourist points. The room itself was clean. Washrooms come with tooth brush, hair ties, q-tips, soaps. there's a small tub. Shower pressure is great. Water temperature was also on point. The check in staff were adequate and nice. There's a restaurant downstairs associated with the hotel that sells soups and breakfasts so you don't have to go far for food. But there are also tons of restaurants just outside the hotel. The only little annoyance is that there's 3 APA hotels in that intersection and 2 of it has the exact same name. But they are just across the street from each other - so if you're in the wrong one they will let you know. But they should really differentiate the name.

Very quiet room, cleaned every day. The hotel is located conveniently close to shops. The Higashi-Shinjuku train station is next door to the hotel (3 meters), making it easy to link to Tokyo's network of underground trains. The room is however very small (as with every 3 stars Tokyo hotels). There was a warning in the room not to use the internet to download movies or else, which I thought was unusual.

We booked this hotel for it's price and proximity to Shinjuku and were not expecting much. They didn't have any non-smoking rooms available to we were put in a smoking room but the staff had cleaned it so well you couldn't even tell. The beds were comfortable and the room cleaned everyday. There was a mini fridge and kettle and TV, loads of bathroom amenities, more space than I expected for a Tokyo hotel room and robes and slippers. It was also only 200 metres to the subway station, about 50 metres to a 7/11, one stop away from Shinjuku and really easy to find. The staff were very polite and nice.

Tokyo is a city that never sleeps. Whether you have chosen hotel Ibis for food, shopping, accessibility to its highly complex train networks (grab a map wherever u go!) or simply watching the city culture and its bustling way of life, this is the place to be. On the upside, u can still enjoy walking around or indulge in having supper either at the 24-hr McDonald's (or delicious ramen shop located opposite the main kabuki-cho street). Its location is a major draw factor. Shinjuku train station is just a short walk away so if your plan is to travel to places like Gotemba factory outlet or other cities at some point. On the downside, the room was very small so best to check-in with little or no expectation at all. I think it suits best either for sole travelers or at the most couples without kids. Wifi was a little slow in the last 2 days. Hotel staff was helpful but could put on a smile a little more. Overall good value for money.
