Find hotels in Shitennoji

Our stay was good. Check-in was quick. We were hoping for a room on a high floor so that we could get a view of the city at night, and we got it! We were very happy to get the 16th floor. The room was a good size, clean, and the bed was comfy. The air-conditioner was working just fine. The shower had excellent pressure. The only downside was the internet. It amazes me that some hotels can't provide wi-fi in hotel rooms. Maybe there are logistics to it I don't understand. But when we stay in cheap backpacker hostels, free wi-fi is abundant. If you have a tablet or phone that can't connect through the LAN network, you have to go down to the lobby and hang out on benches in front of check-in to access the internet, which is a bit inconvenient. We are not addicts which require constant access to the internet, but when traveling it can be helpful to access the internet for various information. I suppose it's a minor inconvenience. Another thing was the pool. I find it misleading when a hotel checks the box next to indoor pool, yet charges extra for using it when you arrive. We booked this hotel partially for said pool. When we arrived, we were informed that to use the pool facilities would cost an extra 20/25 dollars per person for 1 day, which we declined. Some might be OK with that, but we find that to be a rip-off. Please mention this in your hotel information so as not to come across as misleading to customers.

The staff at the front desk are very kind and nice! They helped us to book a restaurant that can only make reservation by Telephone (We need them to call because we don't have the Japan Telephone number) They helped us call several times and successfully make the reservation. also the room is big compared with normal hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel is beyond Good !!!! I would recommend you guys to try the morning breakfast of the hotel restaurant ! So cheap and delicious :)) Really impressed of this hotel ! Love Osaka !

The best thing I love about this hotel is that it is just beside the Kintetsu train station, as it is just one train ride away from Kobe and Nara, no transfers needed. So it’s great for exploring other places instead of just being stuck in the Namba area. Secondly it’s great that the airport limousine bus stops right outside the hotel. So convenient specially if you got heavy luggages. There’s a family mart, bakeries, coffee shop, supermarket, restaurants beside the hotel. Uniqlo and Muji are also behind the hotel. Don Quixote is walking distance from the hotel. Hotel room is clean, no complaints. Although the booking I got was without breakfast, and their breakfast is quite expensive. Although their rates are very reasonable, it’s cheaper than my original booking with Ibis Styles which is only a 3 star, while Sheraton is 4-5 stars, so i changed my booking to Sheraton. Overall I’m a satisfied customer. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Coming back from an excellent stay in April 2016, the hotel still remains its standard. Its location is very convenient, within five minutes walk from Tennoji station. The hotel is well equipment with serveral entertainments and a nice bar. The room is spacious, clean and we hardly see any spot of dirts. It should be the well maintainence of all areas that keep its standard. The only thing I’d say to be improved is the staff’s English. Since the hotel does have quite a number of foreign guest, it would be better if they have more staff with fluent speaking and listening if English. But all in all, this would be the best three stars hotel I’ve stay and we would definitely be back soon.

The hotel is super close to Tennoji station which makes travel in Osaka super easy. The rooms are a bit bigger than a normal Japanese hotel room which is nice. The pre-fabricated bathrooms are a little disappointing however they do their job and they’re kept very clean. Breakfast, I can’t say how disappointing this was. Their photos are totally misleading with no where near the options you are lead to believe are on offer. We ensured our booking included breakfast, we turned up once, looked at the food and left. There is obviously and understandably an English language barrier. Normally this situation would have called for a partial refund of our booking however we decided it was best to spend time in a beautiful city instead of squabble over breakfast in a language which wouldn’t have been understood. Saving grace! The massive Q’s Mall and tonnes of other great food places around meant that food was never an issue. Thankfully the hotel also provided two pod coffees each morning, this saved them a little and earned a star here or there. Would I stay here again? Only if I had to. I would attempt to find another hotel similarly close to Tennoji station. Sorry, but the breakfast really did it for us.

We booked our hotel in Osaka at the last minute and most hotels were fully booked. This hotel wouldn't have been my first choice and it was a little pricy but it was one of the cheapest available at the time. The room was a little small for 2 people but we managed. The room was pretty clean and tidy. The wifi was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel was tiny and I never tried the food. The best thing about this hotel was the location. It's very close to the MRT and the railway station. There are a few shops and malls nearby. If you plan to go to Osaka for a day or 2 then I think this hotel is ok for longer stays maybe somewhere more comfortable is better. Just make sure you book well in advance.

We enjoyed our 5 nights stay in this hotel . The room is clean and neat ! Location was great , quiet area and it’s just 2 mins walk to supermarket (awesome!) . Few mins walking distance to one of the Osaka attraction - shitennoji temple and shitennoji station . if you don’t mind to walk further you could go to Namba or Tennoji by walking from the hotel itself (: There’s an Italian restaurant (run by local) same stretch as the supermarket selling good pasta and pizza - il campo da shige , we love the pasta there ! Alternatively there’s kitchen also in the apartment where you can cook yourself and even wash your clothes (it’s 2 in 1 washer cum dryer) . Would highly recommend this apartment in Osaka .

Room is clean and spacious. Much bigger than typical Japanese hotel rooms. Ensuite. Separate toilet and shower. You can even do the laundry in the shower area (with bath tub) as they have basin and low stool. The receptionists are all nice. Easy check-in. When we first arrived, the accommodating lady seemed to be prepared and handed us our keys right away. They regularly clean our room. Just hand them the key. They also refill tissues, shampoo, replace toothbrush, used drinking glasses, etc. Just a few stops to Osaka Castle and other tourist spots. They have free transparent umbrellas when it is raining you can return by the end of the day. Very near subway and bus station. Shower is strong. Wifi is strong. Would definitely book again when we go back to Osaka.

The hotel is excellent if you are using Kintetsu line and Kansai airport limousine bus service - both within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It is very useful to catch the bus to the airport early morning to avoid the morning peak traffic with the subway. Subway station is a bit further away with about 10 minutes walk, which is fine as it is linked with underground from Kintetsu. The staff is not very fluent in English but he is trying his best to help us. Most of the times the staff is in the office so you will need to ring them out to the reception. My double bed unit is spacious and comfortable, with a queen size bed and another sofa bed beside it, and there is also a small balcony outside the unit. The toilet is the usual Japanese size, the water temperature in my unit takes a few minutes to heat up though. Bedding is very comfortable and the air conditioner is working perfectly. The washer and dryer are very cheap. Overall this is a great stay for apartment style accomodation.

I initially booked business class cabin and request for an upgrade to first class cabin later because i need more space with big luggage. There is pajamas, towels, slippers for you. The men’s floor is on 2nd floor and the onsen bath and shower is on first floor. But there is toilet on 2nd fl so you can use it easily at night. You can ask for earplug, adapter, soft pillow for free. There is more blanket for you to use. Also air humidifier and room/cloth spray. There is also a luggage area for you to pack/unpack and make noise away from the cabin and other people. Very good idea. If traveling alone, i can recommend this place. But if you have your mate, a hotel may be cheaper if you can share the cost.

Half the time i was cursing myself for choosing this hotel and other half the time i was praising myself for choosing this hotel. Cursing Myself: At least 7 to 10 minutes of walk from the nearest metro station - Ebisucho, a 7 to 10 minutes walk is nothing to worry about if it was a bustling neighborhood but it wasn't and i was travelling alone, it got unnerving when i was walking back at 10, 11 pm at night. Praising Myself: It is a nice respite from the vibrancy in Osaka, the setting of the rooms gives you more space than the normal hotel rooms, coupled with the tatami and a very comfortable bed, i slept well through the night. Staff tried their best with English and were also eager to help. The breakfast was simple but good for taking a break from all the heavy cuisine.

This boutique hotel was a gem! Close to tsuruhashi subways station (exit 4 if you have luggage for the lift or exit 3, go left, there will be an alley way, walk down for about a 1/4 mile, turn right when you reach the main road and hotel trad will be on your right about 100 feet from alleyway) or same distance from momodani station (JR line) opposite direction. The rooms were very clean and spacious, staff were all very nice and helpful and the wifi was very strong. I LoVED the furo style bathRoom ( in Japan you fill the tub with water - but scrub and rinse yourself first, then relax and soak in the tub)- it was really good after a entire day of shopping. There is a kitchenette for your use but the surrounding area has a lot of local cheap eats that I would suggest. Tsuruhashi station is surrounded by a lot of yakiniku places. Very delicious and there is also dried seafood stalls for gifts to take back home (Omiyage). I would strongly suggest to explore this neighborhood! A++++

Our stay at Hotel International House Osaka was great. The area is clean and peaceful, great for long walks and going about the area. It's accessible and convenient and just a short walk away from 2 train stations and a bus station to and from kansai international airport. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores and malls along the area so everything is within a comfortable distance. There's an organic shop near as well, a do-it-yourself laundry shop, coffee and tea shops, ice cream shops and authentic japanese restos as well as lots of temples and zen gardens. The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful and always with a smile on their faces. The rooms are clean and well ventilated and well supplied. We received a lot of freebies as well when we checked-in so it was a plus. The hotel is just a few train stops aways from Dontonbori (Namba station) and Tennoji Zoo and Park. Overall, we had a great stay in this hotel and I recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Osaka.

Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, friendliness and convenience of the hotel, even though the rooms are a bit tight. It's conveniently located near a train station, convenience stores and a delicious okonomiyaki restaurant. We were able to leave our luggages at the hotel concierge after check out to go around the city before heading back to the airport for a late night flight. The staff also called a taxi for us to ride back to airport. Warning though for families with small children, do not turn on the TV as we were horrified to see adult channels.

The room is big, stylish and spacious. Although it is a love hotel, they allow children to stay if accompanied with adults. Their hotel room has many amenities, robe that can use as towel, pyjamas, brush, hair dryer etc. Very comfortable stay and they have a big bath tub with jacuzzi too. Location is near train station too and washing machine available beside the hotel. They also provide a 3rd bed for child and aircon can be adjust to cold or heater. For those who don’t mind it is a love hotel, suitable for family and couples .

Took a quick trip with my daughter to Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and saw Hotel Awina at a great price. It was about a 40 minute trip by subway and trains to get to USJ but I paid less than a third of the price for hotels next to the property. It was also fairly close to the Dotonbori River-Walk; lots of shopping and fun sights. Staff was very helpful, and with their limited English and my very limited Japanese, we managed to work through check in and luggage storage. Hotel Awina is a five minute walk from the Uehommachi station so very easy to get to. It took us about 30 minutes to get back to the Osaka Shin when leaving. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is situated less than 5 minutes walk from the North gate exit of Tennouji station.The room was adequate with a bed against the wall and a large armchair with table. There was some sort of self check-out machine on one wall which emitted a very bright light all night(so maybe take an eye mask)The toiletries provided were abundant and the bathroom size was adequate for our 4 night stay.The staff were friendly and even though it was our first time to Japan we tried our best to learn a few words of Japanese and they also had words and sentences written in English if they needed to refer to them.The breakfast which was delivered to the room at your appointed time was filling and well presented.The hotel itself is located in a very quiet street and easy to find-even for a midnight check -in.

This place is the best budget accommodation we've stayed in throughout our trip in Osaka, and with a very good location, only 3 minutes away from tennouji station. We booked a tatami room and expected only a room with shared toilet and bathroom, but turns out that there is a toilet inside our room, which is very convenient. The rooms are also very very spacious for the price. They have a separate shared toilet and shower room too, plus, the staff are very friendly, we highly recommend this accommodation!
