Piccadilly station less than 10mins away walking which allows easy transport to the airport via both train or tram - we chose tram as we had the time. Very central. Matt & Phreds , less than 10mins walk , in the Northern Quarter was a great find to relax for live music and delicious food at great value. Nearby tram handy for getting about if needed but we chose to walkl to convention centre for work meetings and deansgate st. no problem. Tip: higher up floors helpful to reduce noise from passing traffic. Overall 100% and will be back again.

We were delighted with our choice for this visit to Manchester. We didnt want to stay in the centre but wanted to be within walking distance. The location is perfect. The hotel is spotless clean and bright and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for two nights. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. Our room was lovely. It was bright and tastefully decorated with a free soft drink minibar provided along with robes and slippers. The hotel is located on First Street, a newly developed area with bars and restaurants and next door to Home, a theatre, restaurant & cinema complex. The are is still being developed but we are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Breakfast was good, the restaurant is bright and spacious and we didnt get that crowded breakfast room feeling. We had dinner in the hotel on the Saturday night and it was lovely. Definitely recommend this hotel.

When we returned to check in (a little worse for wear) the lovely security directed us to reception, the gent on reception gave us really good (and simple) directions to our room and we felt really looked after.! Our room was beautiful, it felt really grand with an extra high ceiling and a bed which could fit me (5ft 10) and my husband (6ft5) starfishing and still room between us-and it was extremely comfortable! I don't mind that our room was on a busy road (and i could hear revellers on the friday night), as i sleep through anything but if youre a light sleeper i would recommend requesting a quieter room. we didnt get to sample the bar/restaurant which is a shame as the bar was the main reason we booked (we were just to tired to fancy a drink) but were returning in January and cannot wait! i have no idea why this isnt a 5 star hotel! it certainly felt like one.

I've stayed at the Radisson Edwardian on several occasions, as the service is excellent, the rooms are modern and stylish, the cocktails are the best things about the hotel (although quite pricey apprx. £8-£10 each - highly recommended Opus in a Million, their signature cocktail) and the ambience in the bar is relaxed, yet the staff are extremely efficient and attentive. Would highly recommend for business or pleasure. Great location for shops, bars, restaurants etc!

we stayed at doubletree hilton in manchester for two nights. the hotel was clean and everyone was friendly, but for the price i would have stayed somewhere else which was closer to the city center. the location of this hotel is good if you need to be near the piccadilly station, otherwise it was a bit difficult to get to the hotel from and to other spots in the c...we stayed at doubletree hilton in manchester for two nights. the hotel was clean and everyone was friendly, but for the price i would have stayed somewhere else which was closer to the city center. the location of this hotel is good if you need to be near the piccadilly station, otherwise it was a bit difficult to get to the hotel from and to other spots in the city. also, the name of this hotel used to be mint hotel, and many taxi drivers didn't know the exact location of doubletree, many of them would take me to the other hilton. i had parked my car at doubletree while staying there, the charge was gbp 15 per night. i don't know what other hotels charge for parking, but this seemed a bit high considering i am staying there. the other lots nearby offered similar rates for a more accessible lot. the breakfast at the hotel was okay at best. the spread for the buffet was very weak, and then you would have to order from the menu for the main entree. i have stayed at about 4 different hotels in manchester (4 star & 5 star) and they have always had a better breakfast. i think this hotel is great for a business traveller who needs a night stay in manchester and has to catch the train, otherwise, if your looking to enjoy as a couple or on holiday there may be better choices in manchester.

This is s nice hotel located in central Manchester. This hotel allows pets and our dog was very comfy. Many restaurants nearby. The street car station is very near. When I reported this to management theý immediately changed our room while the maintenance guy came to look. I was impressed that they changed our room without a fuss. The new room was nicer too. I highly recommend this hotel. The only downside is parking. You must park your car at a city lot which is a 7 minute walk. The fee is £10 for 24 hours which is quite reasonable for the UK. We loved Manchester.

I paid £30 for my room online, for which I received a room with tea and coffee making facilities, am emsuite of shower, sink and toilet, free soap, loo rolls etc, and a clean room with a telly on the wall, and a comfortable bed. It's swings and roundabouts really, but the basics are all there as a cheap alternative. And the bloke on reception is really excellent.

Hotel have several with NCP. If their car park is full and u park at NCP, I get a 40% discount, which we coated after discount at around £35. So still better to use the hotel parking. Overall a great w/e and would stay again. Book early, to get a great deal - we booked in June for our January stay.

We visited Cloud 23 bar. I personally thought it was a little bit over priced, but it was a lovely setting. The hotel rooms I felt were a little bit tired with worn carpets and furniture. This was the only downside and would not put me off future stays. Would definitely like to return. Thank you to all.

We booked the Mercure 2 months in advance of our stay. We booked an executive double room as the value was incredible. Our visit to Manchester was initially for the Manchester United v Liverpool match however the Premier League moved the matchday! Luckily we had the Christmas markets to visit! When we return to Manchester we'll definitely be booking the Mercure....through Agoda :)

This is the second time I’ve used this hotel, while in Manchester for the football and this time I stayed two nights due to the train strike. The rooms are modern and clean though a bit on the small side. This hotel is in Canal st next to McTukys (great chicken & ribs) in the heart of the gay Village. Being straight you may thing that may be off putting but it’s not. No one will bother you so you just go about your business. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay and will definitely stay again. They also have a special type of window to keep the noise out. Keith

After our night outs we availed ourselves of the 24/7 bar for a night cap. Though we ate out each evening, we noticed that a lot of people, particularly late arrivals, used the food service in the reception lounge, which also seemed to be 24/7. Unusual in my travel experience but a great idea. Checkout was also swift and efficient. In summary, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a far superior offering to some of the so called 4 Star Hotels we have experienced in our travels do far this year. Well done to Ibis and well done to the staff at Ibis, Portland Street, Manchester. We will return.

There were people constantly walking right next to our dining table attemptibg to get to the serving area, making our breakfast a truly unmemorable experience. We check in late due to our flight arrive almost midnight but one hotel staff was there waiting for us. When we require to make a local call to someone and the staff was very willing to lend us their phone. There is a soccer floos table at the lobby for guest to enjoy a quick friendly game. It's a 5-10 min walk from Victoria station, Shudehill tram-stop, (Victoria tram-stop is closed for refurbishment) and the NW corner of the city centre, where there are restaurants & bars. The tiles are dark and there are no underwater lights so the water looks black and uninviting, but it was fine once in. Steam room was out of order the whole time I was there, and a few of the lockers don't work. Just little things, but when everything else is good, the little things stand out. The sauna worked fine. I don't know if its planned or coincidence, but when the three lifts aren't in use, they seem to stop at floors 0, 2 and 5, so when you call one, it arrives pretty much straight away. Breakfast is £10 and included the standard 4* fare of cereals, fruits, cold meats, cheeses, breads, croissants/pastries, fruit juices and the Full English. I would happily stay there again.
