The staff at the front desk are very kind and nice! They helped us to book a restaurant that can only make reservation by Telephone (We need them to call because we don't have the Japan Telephone number) They helped us call several times and successfully make the reservation. also the room is big compared with normal hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel is beyond Good !!!! I would recommend you guys to try the morning breakfast of the hotel restaurant ! So cheap and delicious :)) Really impressed of this hotel ! Love Osaka !

The best thing I love about this hotel is that it is just beside the Kintetsu train station, as it is just one train ride away from Kobe and Nara, no transfers needed. So it’s great for exploring other places instead of just being stuck in the Namba area. Secondly it’s great that the airport limousine bus stops right outside the hotel. So convenient specially if you got heavy luggages. There’s a family mart, bakeries, coffee shop, supermarket, restaurants beside the hotel. Uniqlo and Muji are also behind the hotel. Don Quixote is walking distance from the hotel. Hotel room is clean, no complaints. Although the booking I got was without breakfast, and their breakfast is quite expensive. Although their rates are very reasonable, it’s cheaper than my original booking with Ibis Styles which is only a 3 star, while Sheraton is 4-5 stars, so i changed my booking to Sheraton. Overall I’m a satisfied customer. Will definitely stay here again next time.

The Osaka Marriott Miyako hotel is beautifully located in downtown Osaka, right next to the Tennoji station and above the Osaka-Abenobashi underground station. From Kansai airport arrivals, take the escalator to 2/F and walk over the pedestrian bridge to the JR station. I bought a train ticket to town for $12. Could have taken the express train for $25 but the regular train left first so I took it. You walk out of the JR ticket office and directly opposite take an escalator down to the platform. Arrived Tennoji about 40 minutes later. Exit on south side, cross the street for G/F entrance to Marriott. Lobby is on 19th Floor. Going back out to Kansai airport I took hotel arranged taxi for ¥11,000 or $100. 45 mins to airport. The hotel itself is modern and nicely designed. Beautiful western restaurant on 57th floor with a superb pasta. Fantastic views of Osaka, as the Miyako Tower is the highest building in Osaka. Separately an excellent Teppanyaki Restaurant on the same floor. Also excellent. One issue - for socialising the 19/F hotel lobby bar is a bit quiet, although the bar staff are very good. I tried the Hibiki whisky and the Kraken rum. The room rates are very reasonable and the room cleaning staff were very diligent. Concierge lady was excellent. Be aware most taxis cannot find the street entrance. The correct taxi stand is 100m up the street from the G/f entrance.

Coming back from an excellent stay in April 2016, the hotel still remains its standard. Its location is very convenient, within five minutes walk from Tennoji station. The hotel is well equipment with serveral entertainments and a nice bar. The room is spacious, clean and we hardly see any spot of dirts. It should be the well maintainence of all areas that keep its standard. The only thing I’d say to be improved is the staff’s English. Since the hotel does have quite a number of foreign guest, it would be better if they have more staff with fluent speaking and listening if English. But all in all, this would be the best three stars hotel I’ve stay and we would definitely be back soon.

The hotel is super close to Tennoji station which makes travel in Osaka super easy. The rooms are a bit bigger than a normal Japanese hotel room which is nice. The pre-fabricated bathrooms are a little disappointing however they do their job and they’re kept very clean. Breakfast, I can’t say how disappointing this was. Their photos are totally misleading with no where near the options you are lead to believe are on offer. We ensured our booking included breakfast, we turned up once, looked at the food and left. There is obviously and understandably an English language barrier. Normally this situation would have called for a partial refund of our booking however we decided it was best to spend time in a beautiful city instead of squabble over breakfast in a language which wouldn’t have been understood. Saving grace! The massive Q’s Mall and tonnes of other great food places around meant that food was never an issue. Thankfully the hotel also provided two pod coffees each morning, this saved them a little and earned a star here or there. Would I stay here again? Only if I had to. I would attempt to find another hotel similarly close to Tennoji station. Sorry, but the breakfast really did it for us.

This is our first experience with a property in the APA chain, and we are impressed. It is a basic hotel which feels like it was built with business travellers in mind. So, expect a small room with good basic necessities – clean, comfy bed and clean bathroom with basic toiletries. The location is wonderful. It is accessible by both the underground mall/walkway and an overhead bridge. It is also across the road from Tennoji Park, where there are plenty of modern cafes and western restaurants, all open into the night.

Enjoyable, comfortable stay. Comfortable sized apartment-size rooms. Neat, efficient use of space with flourishes of modern, efficient Japanese design (twin fire escapes, metal doors, motion activated corridor lights etc). Free wi-fi, with Netflix. Kids loved it! Quiet, family neighbourhood. Close to the famous Shitennoji shrine, Tennoji zoo. Has a well stocked supermarket a 2-minute walk away. Bliss! 5 mins walk from the Shitennoji-Mae Yuhigaoka subway station (1 station away Tennoji station - well connected to KIX ). 15 mins nice walk thru quiet neighbourhoods, from Tennoji station - great to warm up for (& wind down from) hectic Osaka. 5 stars! If you're traveling/staying to Osaka, I HIGHLY recommend this place. We are a family of four and our room is truly comfortable. The place is very very clean and quiet. You can use their facilities (ie. kitchen, living room and dining room) for free. They also have vending machine, coffee/tea machine and FOOT BATH! Who wouldn't like that? We can relax our feet after a whole day of walking. The place is very near the station. Tennoji station is one of the main stations in Osaka. The airport is conveniently accessible and the Haruka Express stops on Tennoji. This is good news if you're going to Shin-Osaka and Kyoto. If you get hungry, it is also near 7Eleven and Family Mart. We have no regrets staying here. It is cheap but you get more than what you pay for.

The hotel is excellent if you are using Kintetsu line and Kansai airport limousine bus service - both within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It is very useful to catch the bus to the airport early morning to avoid the morning peak traffic with the subway. Subway station is a bit further away with about 10 minutes walk, which is fine as it is linked with underground from Kintetsu. The staff is not very fluent in English but he is trying his best to help us. Most of the times the staff is in the office so you will need to ring them out to the reception. My double bed unit is spacious and comfortable, with a queen size bed and another sofa bed beside it, and there is also a small balcony outside the unit. The toilet is the usual Japanese size, the water temperature in my unit takes a few minutes to heat up though. Bedding is very comfortable and the air conditioner is working perfectly. The washer and dryer are very cheap. Overall this is a great stay for apartment style accomodation.

Half the time i was cursing myself for choosing this hotel and other half the time i was praising myself for choosing this hotel. Cursing Myself: At least 7 to 10 minutes of walk from the nearest metro station - Ebisucho, a 7 to 10 minutes walk is nothing to worry about if it was a bustling neighborhood but it wasn't and i was travelling alone, it got unnerving when i was walking back at 10, 11 pm at night. Praising Myself: It is a nice respite from the vibrancy in Osaka, the setting of the rooms gives you more space than the normal hotel rooms, coupled with the tatami and a very comfortable bed, i slept well through the night. Staff tried their best with English and were also eager to help. The breakfast was simple but good for taking a break from all the heavy cuisine.

This boutique hotel was a gem! Close to tsuruhashi subways station (exit 4 if you have luggage for the lift or exit 3, go left, there will be an alley way, walk down for about a 1/4 mile, turn right when you reach the main road and hotel trad will be on your right about 100 feet from alleyway) or same distance from momodani station (JR line) opposite direction. The rooms were very clean and spacious, staff were all very nice and helpful and the wifi was very strong. I LoVED the furo style bathRoom ( in Japan you fill the tub with water - but scrub and rinse yourself first, then relax and soak in the tub)- it was really good after a entire day of shopping. There is a kitchenette for your use but the surrounding area has a lot of local cheap eats that I would suggest. Tsuruhashi station is surrounded by a lot of yakiniku places. Very delicious and there is also dried seafood stalls for gifts to take back home (Omiyage). I would strongly suggest to explore this neighborhood! A++++

Our stay at Hotel International House Osaka was great. The area is clean and peaceful, great for long walks and going about the area. It's accessible and convenient and just a short walk away from 2 train stations and a bus station to and from kansai international airport. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores and malls along the area so everything is within a comfortable distance. There's an organic shop near as well, a do-it-yourself laundry shop, coffee and tea shops, ice cream shops and authentic japanese restos as well as lots of temples and zen gardens. The hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful and always with a smile on their faces. The rooms are clean and well ventilated and well supplied. We received a lot of freebies as well when we checked-in so it was a plus. The hotel is just a few train stops aways from Dontonbori (Namba station) and Tennoji Zoo and Park. Overall, we had a great stay in this hotel and I recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Osaka.

The room is big, stylish and spacious. Although it is a love hotel, they allow children to stay if accompanied with adults. Their hotel room has many amenities, robe that can use as towel, pyjamas, brush, hair dryer etc. Very comfortable stay and they have a big bath tub with jacuzzi too. Location is near train station too and washing machine available beside the hotel. They also provide a 3rd bed for child and aircon can be adjust to cold or heater. For those who don’t mind it is a love hotel, suitable for family and couples .

Took a quick trip with my daughter to Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and saw Hotel Awina at a great price. It was about a 40 minute trip by subway and trains to get to USJ but I paid less than a third of the price for hotels next to the property. It was also fairly close to the Dotonbori River-Walk; lots of shopping and fun sights. Staff was very helpful, and with their limited English and my very limited Japanese, we managed to work through check in and luggage storage. Hotel Awina is a five minute walk from the Uehommachi station so very easy to get to. It took us about 30 minutes to get back to the Osaka Shin when leaving. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff do not speak English, but kudos to them for trying 101% to communicate with us. We needed a late checkout, to communicate with us, they used an iPad that has a translation app installed. Brilliant. The one and only elevator is super tiny, it could only allow a person plus 2 large luggages, my wife had to wait after I went up, because she was carrying our baby and holding a pram too. Nonetheless, the rooms are very spacious. Bed is a proper queen size and not like other Japanese hotels that only provide a double bed (smaller in width). Breakfast was served in room because the tiny hotel could not afford to spare any space for a common dining area. Location is just minutes away from Tennoji station and convenience stores and dining areas can be found just outside along the main roads. Several large shopping malls are also minutes of walking distance away. Very good location, especially for tourists who love shopping! Tennoji station is just 3 train stops away from Namba station where all the hype is, especially at night.

Standard fare for one of the smaller Super Hotels but slightly further away from the station and up a slight incline. Their amenity selection isn't as good as the ones around Ikebukuro (Tokyo) though. Tennoji station is pretty convenient for day trips and stuff -JR! - and I quite liked the park area near the station too. All in all, a viable option if you don't need to stay in the thick of crowded/noisy Namba.
