Much more luxurious than the other 4 star Birmingham hotels we've stayed in.

Hotel is rather unusual being located in the middle of the Irish quarter of Birmingham. On the other hand, I was given a very comfortalbe standard double which was newly refurbished, the paint was still almost wet, all bathroom shower fittings new, looking over a park area. It makes a very convenient one night stop over.

This was my 2nd or 3rd stay at the Britannia. I was fortunate to get a deal on the price through Agoda which made it extremely good value. It was an incredibly hot day and sadly a lady on a higher floor was very vocal throughout the afternoon and night. I pity those who were in the rooms above, below and adjacent to her. My mother had to close the window due to the moaning and groaning, and then spent a sleepless night in a hot and sticky room with no air con. Luckily I had headphones with me. Of course it was not the fault of the hotel, and if it had continued the 2nd night we would have mentioned it to the staff at reception. The reception staff are great, very helpful, efficient, polite, great customer service. We didnt have breakfast in the hotel so cant comment on that. Will always check the price on this hotel when visiting Birmingham as it could not be better situated for a trip to Birmingham for those on public transport.

The room and bathroom were clean and modern, towels white and fluffy, bed sheets spotless and the mattress so comfortable I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in months. Cheap parking in Moor St for £7 for the total time we were there. Great value for the city and just a 5 min walk from the hotel. All in all, a big thumbs up. We would definitely stay again when returning to Birmingham.

I was with my family ( all girls and a young child ) checking out from hotel heading to London. We have a few big luggages and shopping begs to carry and we were on our way to the nearest train station. The front desk staff saw us in this situation and in his first intention he showed us short cut by leading us to the back door. As such, we managed to get to the train on time once we reached train station. Or else, we will need to wait for the next train probably in 20 minutes to half an hour. By the time we reached London, it was before 11pm. I'm sure if this staff didn't show us the short cut, we will be late for the train, late to reach london, late to check in hotel in London. I booked and paid in full for a one night stay to attend my Daughter's graduation. On my way to Birmingham I received a phone call to say that the hotel through a "technical issue" was overbooked and they were moving me to an alternative outside the centre. To cut a long story straight through Agoda I found another room at an alternative hotel just down the road. So when the receptionist at the AC said there was no rooms available in Birmingham he obviously hadn't tried looking very hard.

The best hotel I have ever been to. The staff made my stay super comfortable. I will definitely be booking with this hotel again when I come up Birmingham. When I arrived the receptionists were so lovely to me and my friend. I honestly do not have a bad word to say about this hotel. Wish I stayed longer because the staff were that nice. We arrived at about 6.30 to check in, this was completed quickly. We were advised not to put out room card near our mobile, which we immediately forgot and then couldn't get in the lift. The receptionist sorted this straight away. The rooms are big, bright and clean and the bathroom was a good size with a big shower. The location isn't the best in birmingham and it's a good 20 mins walk to broad street however we were going to the jam house which was literally around the corne so was ideal for us. We were advised to be up early if we didn't want to queue for the buffet breakfast. We went down for 8.40 till about 9.15 and there was no queue. There was plenty of choice if foods, juices and drinks. Check out wasn't till 12 so we could take time getting ready and then reception called us a taxi and advised us how much it should cost to get back to the station

I wanted somewhere to stay within walking distance of the Conservative party conference. Most places were full and after a couple of hours searching found the comfort inn which checked all the boxes. Its an older hotel but was very clean, the staff friendly and served an excellent breakfast.
