I really liked the room as it was big and comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable. The toilet was spacious and the entire room was well laid out. However, the things in the room did not work well. The television was extremely blur and the safe was spoilt. After calling housekeeping twice, they sent someone over to fix it but it took a long while. Also, the television could not be fixed and we had to use a very blurry television for our whole stay. The staff did not offer to change our room or the television but said there was nothing they could do. Unfortunately, after we checked in and asked about the spa packages, the hotel staff informed us that the spa was closed for maintenance. It was really bad as the main reason we booked Lan Rung was because of the availability of spa facilities. We were especially disappointed that the staff did not inform us of this earlier and only upon our enquiry. We would have changed to another hotel if we had known of this earlier. Also, the pool was very small and was not properly ventilated, which makes it choppy if there are many people in the pool. Also, the staff could not speak much English and were not friendly nor helpful. They would help us on request but were not friendly or forthcoming with help or advice. Once, we were extremely hungry and tried to order food through room service over the phone. However, the staff could not understand what we wanted and offered to send someone to the room to take our order. We waited for more than an hour but no one came. In the end we decided to go for dinner outside the resort. Also, the breakfast hygiene was extremely questionable. There were many flies flying around the exposed fruit and dessert area. There were also many flies flying around the tables where we were eating and it was really annoying. There was also little choice of food at breakfast. For the price of this resort, I expected something much better. If you book this resort, do not go with high expectat

We stayed at the Romeliess for two nights in a standard room with ocean view. From the 6th floor balcony, the view was quite fine, and worth the (small) extra charge. The hotel is new, and looks it. The staff were all very friendly and smiling at all times. They even pointed us to the correct place to wash our feet, before entering the hotel after an ocean swim. Except for a couple of tiny matters connected with the bathroom (and with the air con, which did not suit my friend, but which was fine for me), everything was fine. We ran out of toilet paper after the first day, and had to ask for more. Also, the bar of soap that was there on the first day seemed to have vanished after our rooms were made up on the 2nd day, and was not replaced. But these are very minor complaints. The buffet breakfast (included in our room price) was adequate for us. We also took a late check-out here, for a very minimal cost ($10 for 3.5 hours). Complimentary water bottles added a nice touch, along with a kettle and tea bags. I have no hesitation in recommending the Romeliess, and it would be my preferred hotel for a return visit to Vung Tau, especially as we were able to view, from the outside, a couple of the alternatives in the same price range that we had briefly considered before booking the Romeliess; we thought that they looked inferior to Romeliess. Finally, due to a mistake of my own, we ended up with a double booking here. Agoda very kindly refunded the superfluous booking, with no penalty. Thanks, Agoda!

Wind was way above our expectations. The first impression as you enter the hotel is very nice. We were greeted by the manager, Thong, and made to feel very welcome. She took care of getting our evening meal delivered and the breakfast ordered for the next morning. The room and grounds are absolutely top-notch. The photos in Agoda don't do it justice. Our room had a huge LED tv in the living room and a nice one in the bedroom also. Also a water dispenser with H/C water is in the room, so no need for bottled water. We really felt everything was well thought out for a great guest experience. The pool is sparkling clean and as you go there, you will see the gym, sauna and steam room. All are first-rate. Every day we stayed was great, the room was made up perfect every day. Absolutely no complaint. On our last day, we met the Canadian owner, who is a really nice guy. Most of the staff speaks English and are helpful with trip suggestions. The only thing that was unexpected was when we were dropped off by our limo service. The climb up road to the hotel stairs is pretty steep, and the stairs are about as challenging. If you have any problems with that, you should call the front desk and have them send down their hotel taxi for you. We chose to make the climb and it does get easier as you get used to it. A taxi can drive directly to the hotel if you ask them to do so. Otherwise they let you off at the street side. We live in Saigon, and when we return to Vung Tau we will definitely stay at Wind Boutique Resort. It was above our expectations.

nice clean hotel with friendly staff..the hotel is placed opposite the beach .as a swimming pool on the 13th floor. but the days I stayed at Corbin hotel I could'nt use because of the strong wind...like I sayd this is a place for relax ...but we rented a motorbike from the hotel ( cheap price) and just at 10 minutes drive you find all the attraction.. for any needs just ask at front desk. staff always willing to help you my rate to them would be 10

When I arrived in this hotel, I was a little bit disappointed because it was really small building and there's nothing around that place. However, the room was great huge and clean and the lication was so convinient. Also the sauna and the inner swimming pool was much more favorable for our family because it was almost our private place. Even though every great elements, the best thing was the staffs. They are all so kind and friendly. Also they drived my family to the main spot for us and introduced us their resort rooms. It is special experience to stay great boutique hotel with great staffs.

Hotel was wonderful, very roomy parking lot for both car and motorcycle, next to city park and the beach, surrounded with convenience store, restaurant, coffee shop, sea food town. The security staff was very helpful and friendly but the receptionist not so cheerful. Upgraded to deluxe room for beach view and very satisfied. The room come with TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, air conditioner, pair of slipper and separated shower. The facilities was good and very clean, huge bed, room big enough for 2 adult and 1 kid. Included breakfast was also good but not very variety (its a 3 stars hotel so I wasnt expected too much). Overall I very recommended for couple and family travelers.

My 2 days stay is an amazing experience to me and my fiance. Although I book the wrong arrival date but the staff is friendly and supportive that help me to change the arrival date with no additional charge, I really appreciate your help, thank you!! Other thing need to improve is the buffet breakfast was included in the booking but somehow I only get buffet for Sunday morning, Saturday morning, we just have a normal dish which i think because of they don't have enough visitors so they decide not to serve buffet,and I think the hotel should communicate it more clearly to us on the website or something. Last thing is wifi connection, I stay from Friday afternoon to Sunday noon but I only got wifi connection on Friday, whole Saturday and Sunday the wifi device is malfunction and I cannot got the connection. Please communicate to us better and also please fix it faster. Personally I think it will not take 1 and a half day to fix it. Overall, it's still a good hotel and I really enjoy my 2 days here, thanks Agoda and the Coast hotel. Regards

Hotel is new, clean and a 2-3 min walk from the beach. A 1 minute walk from a Circle K convenience store and a5 min walk from various restaurants. Only complaint is the staff is rude. Stayed here for 3 days and on the middle day, our room was not cleaned. When we had left the room that morning, we saw the hotel staff tidying rooms, so we assumed they just missed ours. We were only coming back to the room quickly before heading to the beach, and asked the front desk receptionist if we could get our room cleaned and if he could hold our room keys while we went to the beach. The receptionist got angry and said the rooms must not have been cleaned since we were inside the room, and we let him know that we had left the room in the morning. He called for the cleaning staff on his radio and was muttering to himself as we left the hotel to go to the beach. When we returned from the beach and asked for our keys, the receptionist did not say a word and flung our keys across his desk to us.

We were 6 people travelling to Vung Tau for a few days and ended up booking at Ocean Star as they had 2 triple rooms available. The hotel was clean, staff very courtesy and rooms comfortable, but we also really enjoyed that the location was on the local (not tourist) beach. While this meant that we swam in shorts and tshirts instead of bikinis (since the Vietnamese women swimming were also wearing long sleeves and long pants), we loved it. Much more interesting to see how Vietnamese tourists treat their beaches than us regular tourists Terrific grilled squid and octopus on the beach, as well as a 10-15 min walk around the corner for banh khot or bun mam soup. Would stay here again.

we stayed for two days at petrosetco hotel. the service was good. due to junior service staff unable to understand our requests in strong english, we were served by two very competent managers instead: mr martin phuc hanh ( sales manager ) and mr van thuy ( operation manager ). martin advised us which sightseeing worth seeing, restaurants worth visiting and road directions which is very helpful to us tourist and visitors. hotel has strong wifi connection which is helpful to us with smart phones connecting to internet to check emails and soccernet. the bathtub height to the floor in our 4th floor room bathroom should be worth a mention here. why ? it is too high the height when we climbed into and out of the bathtub onto the floor. on the first day, i nearly had a fall and injure myself as i underestimated the height between the bathrub and the floor.

Elevator , hot water , location close to big beach and attractions, security 24/7 and lock up your bike, good food restaurant 2 minute walk away, pool and chill area with beautiful sea view , toiletries , water in cold refrigerator, towels, toilet tissue(nice soft thick kind) , room service .... It was all very nice. A lady is there that can speak some English and the staff is always nice and ready to help. I am sure to stay again on my next VT visit. Additional VT info....you can rent a motorbike when you exit the ferry. A group of guys working near the ferry ticket booth ( MR. LAM company name) rent out for 150,000 VD a day. Fast , easy, simple.. I gave money for a couple days and an ID card. When I returned they gave back my card with a smile and thank you.

This must be one of the best 2 star hotels in Vung Tau - maybe the best. The hotel is located in a quiet area which is perfect for nice rest. It is 1.5 km far from the beach, so a good walk in the morning to the beach is excellent. In addition, walking 1 km and you will reach Goc Vu Sua "banh khot" restaurant - one of the best for local food in Vung Tau, and a bar. The room is spacious and has everything you need. In other words, I thought that it was a 4 star room in a 2 star room. You can rent a motorbike at the hotel too. The receptionist is very friendly, helpful and always smile. I will definitely stay here again for next trips.

Pros: 1. Unique place, in all Vung Tau, the only place where you can literally stay above the ocean 2. Fishing right from the balcony while just laid back and enjoy the chill wind 3. Drink is so delicious with reasonaby price 4. Staff is friendly and very helpful when you ask for places around the city 5. Can buy seefood outside and enjoy them on the balcony ( just try not to get the room dirty ) Cons: Because of the coffee shop below so it is a little bit noisy at 7-9pm

My wife and I had a great time there. It was our Wedding Anniversary and I asked the manager via email to surprise my wife by placing petals on our bedroom. And they did! She was soo delighted for that surprise! As a traveller, this was my first time the management offered that without surcharge and responded to my request. The ocean view is fine. The hotel is just in front of the beach so you do not need to take a cab or walk too far for the beach. But what we attracted most is to go to the Jesus Christ Statue which is similar to the Rio Janiero in Brazil. It is just near to the hotel so no hassle for us. The room is clean, spacious and they have friendly staffs as well. I also admire their understanding since I went back there to the room since we thought we left our mobile phone. Funny part, I look over the entire room with the chambermaid and helped me out to find it. All the while It was in my wife's bag. So, to me, despite of it, they have been patient and tried their best to help me out. The pool is also nice though not really the best. Food is great too for a breakfast. We love the Pho noodles they prepare. Overall, I would love to go back there. hopefully with our kids since its also nice for kids as beach is nearby. :)

I'd only planned to stay a couple of days but ended up staying 8 nights in total. Located down a quiet street maybe 100 metres from the beach, I had a double room with a nice big window, good tv and fridge. Spotlessly clean throughout and cleaned every day to a high standard. The price I paid was very good value for the quality of accommodation. The price went up drastically over the Tet holiday (to be expected to an extent) so I haven't rebooked here on my return to Vung Tau, but I would definitely stay here again if the price returns to a reasonable level after Tet.

Best 1 star hotel I ever stay, in fact it feels more like a 2 star hotel and I stayed for 4days. I thought this hotel is the same as others 1 star hotel with small room area, very basic toiletries, and classic ordinary bed But once the lady owner open the door I was amazed. The room is quite big and fragrance smells like roses, very nice interior design and have all sort of toiletries(bunch of shampoo and shower lotion, toothbrushes with extra toothpaste, hand washing soap, big and small combs, hair dryer, hair band, bathing and face towel ect...) and their bedsheets have design too there's also a fridge with soft drink. The lady owner is very very friendly she can speak Vietnamese, English and Japanese. During my stay my gf and i wanted to bbq at the beach. But due to the rain we only manage to buy 2 octopus and have to rush back to hotel, not sure what to do with the octopus the lady owner invite us to her kitchen, she prepare the food for us and told us to go tomorrow and if we needed to use the kitchen to prepare food feel free to use she also offer her bike free to go buy stuff. They have bike rental service in the hotel and I rent her bike for a day ard 130k-150k dong and it's a lot cheaper than outside. On our last day I used their laundry service I think we have about 17over clothes to wash but at the end of stay she didn't want to charge us laundry fee and the consumption of drinks in the fridge and tell us take this money and treat ourselves a coffee. It's rare to meet this kind of person. The only downside is the location to the beach and other attractions area recommend to rent bike or take cab. I'll definitely will come back to this hotel.

Only stayed for one night here. The location is brilliant within easy walking distance to many bars and restaurants and only a short drive/ride to the sea front and all major attractions. Only had two issues with the hotel itself. One was the amount of noise in the corridors (probably not the hotels fault - noisy clients). The other issue was the lack of really hot water. The shower was luke-warm at best. Staff spoke english and were very helpful and efficient.

Hotel is just by the ocean and nice beach so fantastic location. Room was clean, like in the photo, fridge, wardrobe, warm shower, Cable TV with English movies, comfortable mattress. Closeby 10 minutes walk a street with lots of food places. 100k for scooter for day. Just the staff could smile a bit more, no English at all.. and only one lady spoke a little English and when we wanted to get to the next destination: Bong Trang she told us that there was no bus, just taxi. Taxi was 800,000 and we went to the bus station and we found a bus by 35,000. So they do not give correct information.. but all rest was good! :)

Enjoyed my stay. Great cheap hotel. To the left are western style restaurants, Ned Kelly had great food and staff. To the right down the road were a heap of other restaurants/ cafes, all overlooked the sea. Motor bike rental from the hard sellers across the street. I prefer cycling but had to go to the back beach for that. Great beaches and swimming but Watch that plastic while swimming here, better yet, pick some up and bin it.

had a fast check in. allowed bike parking below. room was comfortable and clean. shower had good pressure. hotel is next to a mini hawker, selling cheap food. a few minutes walk to the beach. night clubs are a short bike ride away. apparently local vietnamese are able to get the hotel at cheaper rate than listed here. i would like to apologise to the cleaners for making the room floor dirty with sand. tried my best to clean as much :).
