We booked a Superior Non smoking King room; we only got to check in at about 6pm and to our pleasant surprise, they upgraded us to a corner King room - a very beautifully large room (especially for standard Tokyo city standards!!) on the 29th floor with a clear view of Mt Fuji, the famous Shibuya road crossing and all the way to the Yoyogi park, Harajuku, & beyond! Whan an amazing panoramic view! The check-in was smooth & all staff were very friendly & informative. The room was neat and clean; fantastic choices of pillows (memory foam, feather & feather/buckwheat); great strong yet gentle shower. I had accidentally left my Cartier watch in the bathroom & spent the whole day out without realizing it until the evening, but I had a feeling that it would be safe in this fabulous hotel; and I was right!! When I returned to the hotel late that night, my watch was neatly placed along with my toiletries on a hand towel! Only in Japan!!! Thank you for an excellent stay, Cerulean Tower!!!

I am incredibly fussy when it comes to hotels and this one did not disappoint. It is in a superb location above the Shibuya train station which, importantly, is on the Yamanote JR line so you can get around the city easily or use one of the metro lines that go across the city. There are more than enough restaurants, bars, cafes and shops nearby and a short 10 to 15 minute walk to Yoyogi park if you want to get away from it all. The hotel itself was immaculately clean, neat and tidy, as well as being very quiet, despite the busy location. My room had a great view over the Shibuya crossing. The staff speak enough English that you can get by without Japanese. I did not use the restaurants so can't comment. I would not hesitate in recommending the hotel to others.

We spent 2 nights here and were more than satisfied. Although adjacent to the busy Yamanote train line, the rooms are very well sound-proofed, so we were not disturbed by train noise. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to both Harajuku & Shibuya - both top areas for tourism, restaurants and shopping. The hotel has free rental electric bikes which are great for going around the city and Yoyogi park. The breakfast is partly buffet-style and the quality of food is excellent. We'll certainly use this hotel in the future.

My stay at Shibuya Granbell Hotel is great. The hotel is located in a less crowded Shibuya area where you can relax at the end of the day after all the shopping and sightseeing. It only takes 5 minutes of walk to the train station and the most busy area in Shibuya for all the shopping you will ever need. The hotel staff is attentive and knows basic english to answer all your questions. We reserved a premier double room and the room was bigger than we were expected for a Tokyo hotel. Room cleaning is the best! The staff do not disturb you at all. No knocking on the door to see if you are in the room. For some reason, they just know when you are out and clean your room by the time you come back. Overall, Shibuya Granbell Hotel is a great hotel for the price. Thanks again for the amazing service! P.S~We highly recommend booking this hotel around Cherry Blossom time. The streets around the hotel is fill with white cherry blossom trees and walking out everyday is like looking at a post card.

The location is very convenient. It is such a short walk from Shibuya station. There is so much going on in this area and transport to other parts of the city is very convenient. It is only a 15 minute walk to the amazing Yoyogi koen and Meiji Shrine. The hotel room was small but that is standard for Tokyo, in fact, a travel buddy said that it was substantially bigger than her room for the same price. The wifi was super fast and all the staff were very friendly. They could help me with everything I required.

Convenient location, 1 min walk from Hatagaya metro station, which is 2 stations away from Shinjuku which takes you everywhere. Basic breakfast included but other meals are available if you like. Quiet place at night, no street noise either so perfect to sleep. All staff members speak a really good English and they are always available and helpful. I made a second reservation to extend my stay in a different room and they were kind enough to let me switch my bags before official check in time, thank you for that! Safe and convenient luggage storage by the way if you arrive early or need to catch a late plane after checking out. Nice walk through residential areas to reach Yoyogi park to get away from the fuss of Shinjuku and Shibuya which can be overwhelming after a while. I will definitely stay there next time I come to Tokyo!

This is a great hotel, but the fact is, if you're reading reviews, you'll likely only care about the negatives, so here they are: The hotel is pretty dated looking and air conditioning is building-wide rather than per room. Additionally, when I was packing, I had plans to go out for an evening with a friend. They arrived early, so I invited them up to my room to wait as I finished packing before heading out. When I came down, I was promptly reminded that because I registered as 1 person staying in the hotel, that only 1 person was allowed in my room, and that they had the power to kick me out for breaking this. Strangely, every day they gave me enough towels/slippers/nighties for 2 people. Some research revealed that this is an issue with many hotels in Tokyo, but this encounter just really put me off. I can see that being a real issue for the club-going night owl travelers of Tokyo, so if that's you...you might want to find a different place. Aside from that, the service was the best I've ever encountered in any hotel I stayed at. Included waters every day, they let me check in early, and they even folded my clothes when cleaning my room. Location was also close to Shibuya crossing.

I had a last-minute booking (just 1 day before arrival in Tokyo) and this hotel did not disappoint. I stayed here for a total of 4 nights, and I was so glad I chose to stay in the vibrant Shibuya area! Approximately 7-minute walk (moderate pace) from JR Shibuya Station. Get out from the main exit, walk to the famous Tsutaya building (where there is also a Starbucks), round the bend and keep walking straight, passing by Parco and Miu Miu, and the hotel is just ahead. For the price that I'd paid, location was certainly a huge plus point. It's at the quiet end of the busy Shibuya shopping street, and yet safe with several restaurants and cafes around the area. Yoyogi Park and Meiji Shrine are also approximately a 15-minute walk away, and Harajuku, 20 minutes on foot. Hotel was clean and equipped with toiletries and other basic amenities. Space of the room was sufficient. No wardrobe, just hangers (approximately 6) but that's probably what made the room slightly more spacious. Absolutely fine with me. The (minor) minuses: Table was too small (it was triangular-shaped) and no freezer in the mini-fridge. "Fake" window ie no view. Staff might not be able to speak too much English, but it wasn't too much of an issue as I speak some Japanese. Very strict with the check-in time of 2pm (I'd arrived earlier at 1230pm) Ultimately, for its price though, this hotel met my expectations. I would stay here again!

Would absolutely stay at Emit on future Tokyo trips where prefer to be steps from big-city action/activities/transportation, yet in a tucked-away nook that is quiet. Hotel is super clean, "cozy," quiet, with friendly staff. A few blocks/5-10 min. stroll in one direction, and I'm smack-in-middle of hectic-chaotic-fun Shibuya Crossing, shopping, dining, imbibing galore; the same walk in the opposite direction, and I'm engulfed in idyllic-lush-serene-green Yoyogi Park. Plus, central to public transport with easy access to other neighborhoods and airports (~45 min to Haneda).

About a 5-10 minute walk from Shibuya station. The hotel doesn’t stand out so you may walk right past it like we did the first time. A 5 min walk to great restaurants, shopping and entertainment! A 10-15 walk to Yoyogi park. Make sure to check out the FoodShow for some amazing eats in the basement of Shibuya station. Convenience store right next door which came in handy for late night snacks, drinks etc. Hotel is not modern or elaborate but has everything you would need. Toiletries, coffee/tea, water bottles, sleep shirts, slippers, hair dryer etc. and it’s very clean! American size hotel room. Full size shower/bathtub. Great restaurant in the basement! The included Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was substantial, it was a nice way to start our day. It was the same everyday but you do have the option of switching between a Japanese or Western style breakfast. Staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating! Would def recommend!

When in Tokyo I usually book a room in an APA hotel branch. I like their facilities, everything just works, checkin-checkout process is smooth and fast. I know what I get in each branch, and it's standardized, so it's a hassle free experience for me. What I liked of the Shibuya branch was the close proximity to subway / JR trains (if you walk through Mark City mall it may be even closer) and the many restaurants that are easily accesible from the hotel. Unlike other APA hotel branches this one didn't have a traditional Japanese hot publich bath (they usually have one at the basement or top floor), but the coin laundry was useful to me. I will choose APA again in the future.

Summary: Great place for couple or solo traveler looking for apartment style amenities on a budget. I love this hotel!! Location: During my stay there was a considerable amount of construction at the Shibuya metro station. The New South exit is the closet exit near the hotel which can be tricky to find. If you're arriving at the Shibuya station, follow the signs to the New South exit. From the exit make a right and it's a quick 2 minute walk to the hotel. Because I was in Tokyo for a very short time. I didn't explore the neighborhood directly but it's extremely close to other popular areas of Tokyo by the JR green circle line/subway. Check-in/check out: I reserved via Agoda, so check-in and out was extremely easy. I arrived early and was allowed to leave my bag in storage while I explored. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and helpful even going as far as helping me with directions and printing off maps. The room/facilities: The room was large and I had a nice view of the general area from the balcony. The room comes with mini kitchenette and washing machine. You are provided with laundry soap upon check in. There are also guest amenities in the lobby (I didn't use these items) but believe they were items like toothbrush/paste, shoe shine kit?, tea etc. and other similar items. It's very convenient if you packed light, forgot something or needed an emergency overnight place to stay. The bed was roomy and comfortable. I especially appreciated having an accessible balcony to get fresh air. Although the hotel is located near a busy subway/train - the windows sufficiently blocked most train noise unless you're an extremely delicate sleeper, maybe ask for a room that is not facing the train. Overall the hotel was very quiet which I appreciated. Room/Other: Although there were directions to use the washing machine; there were not enough instructions for non-Japanese speakers. Instructions in English were a general summary of the washing machine feature

I was so hesitating to try this place as I am not young anymore and I prefer to spend money to be confortable. But every time I checked this place there was something intriguing about it to make me try it . And YES it worth it. Perfect location , super clean, everything is new and modern style, nice staff, nice guests when I was there and I think most of the time you won’t find the lousy noisy usual youth hotel type of guests probably because this hotel is not cheap. But it worth every penny if you want to live a quite safe adventure . It is super safe and a little bit too quite at night in th dorm that you need to whisper not to make noises which is good . It is a small room the size of the bed but it is all you need . It is best fitted for somebody who is not willing to stay at the hotel but for sleeping . Maybe not a good idea for those who want to relax in th hotel room.

My stay was excellent. I had booked the night prior to arrival so my room was ready by 8AM allowing me a full day in Tokyo. Check in was rapid and easy. As always the room was clean and comfortable. The rooms are of a decent size. This being a business stay hotel cleaning is once a week but that is OK if you know in advance. The hotel is just off the top of Dogenzaka so access to central Shibuya is about 10 minutes, very handy. There is a medium size supermarket just across the road very useful if you are tired. There is no restaurant but buffet breakfast, Japanese or English. The staff are very helpful, especially as there is a small problem with the logon to Internet at the lobby computer for printing and which is in Japanese. I have used the Tokyu Stay quite a few times and consider it an ideal base if you are in the Shibuya area.

Stayed in the Superior Corner Twin Room (booked at the 11th hour because of a change in travel plans and the hotel had no other available rooms) on our 1st night and the Standard Double Room the remaining 3 nights. If you are travelling to the hotel by train, it is advisable to follow closely to the instructions on the hotel's webpage on how to reach the hotel as Shibuya station can be difficult to navigate. Once you manage to find your way around, you will appreciate that the hotel is well located near the Shibuya station and close to several attractions. For its central location, the rooms are spacious. The staff were friendly, eager to help and accommodating. When we requested travel adaptors, they were sent to our room in a robot. In the Superior Corner Twin Room, we were provided the complimentary use of a nespresso coffee machine which wasn't available in the Standard Double Room. The Superior Corner Twin Room is also almost double the size of the Standard Double Room.

This love hotel is centrally located only a 8 min walk from Shibuya Station and directly across from a nightclub. If you don’t mind listening to a very faint bass of some techno music on the weekends from 11pm-7am, potentially hearing love noises when your window is open & have no need for ample space for luggage, this place is for you! Service is efficient & the room is TINY yet clean! The hotel lobby offers classy jazz music along with cakes, snacks, coffee, juice, soda & ice cream. A FREE Western or Japanese style breakfast is served (& reserved in advance, no last-min changes) to your room between 6-10am. Room amenities are high-end TOTO bathroom appliances (now we’re spoiled), toiletries you didn’t know you needed, stocked bev mini fridge & a karaoke machine! Not all staff speaks English but enough basic English words. There is a Lawson convenience store next door and many restaurants & shopping in area. Highly recommended for the open-minded & self-sufficient!

I had a conference in Tokyo and hence stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It was a 7 min walk from the nearest JR railways station. The reception people could speak good English. The room interiors were very good the floor carpets were a little old though. They provide internet in all rooms and the speed was good for skype (they also provide a lan cable on request and so nothing to worry if you forgot to carry one). There were no convenience stores or restaurants near by the hotel.
